Just had a request for this tune as I was recording reactions.. Never heard of the band (which as you can tell doesn't mean anything - there's a lot I haven't heard lately!) So I figured lets cue up the tune and have a listen!

I really enjoy watching reactions from people with musical knowledge. The way you break it down makes me appreciate it even more. Keep it up! ⚡⚡⚡🤘🤘🤘
⚡⚡⚡🤘🤘🤘
I love that you don’t stop the song and kill the vibe…keep it that way please!!!
Shoulda went earlier than 2012…90’s
Hi Erol.....I take it you appreciate good music.....well here's a track for you......(Aladdin Sane) by David Bowie- Album Version.....its a journey into madness via piano....incredible to hear Mike Garson play.
Thanks, Erol. Great reaction. Watching your facial expressions when you're "feeling" the music makes me smile. Did anyone tell you that Maynard named a bottle of wine from his vinyard after his mom? Monumental stuff. This song always reminds me of how amazing Maynard's vocals are, and what a complex and emotive guy he really is. And on a side note, at 5:53... "use it as a useful TOOL"....no pun intended, right?😂😂 Love it, Erol, love it!!
Erol, I love watching your reaction vids. Coldplay? You just got brownie points, my friend! LOVE this song. I am about your age (so, yeah... young) and remember my son introducing me to this band. Trip down memory lane. And watching you appreciate things like chord modulations, etc. is so awesome! Came here for Tool, but subscribed and staying cuz you're a great reactor. Keep up the great work, and don't forget to spiral out!❤😊
Let's call out Maynard as the total genius that he is. Fantastic band. Nobody can do this any better. It's A Perfect Circle. It's a perfect song.
I love how you want to almost play along. You got inspired there. Great channel. Actually one of the better channels out there in my opinion. You let the music play and communicate your enjoyment perfectly. People are really putting forward some good songs.
Awesome album. My favorite from them.
Wooo!! One of my all-time favorite songs!! Your reactions are great, since you obviously know music well, and you don't constantly interrupt the song to wax poetic. Keep 'em coming!!
Cool. Thanks, Erol, for this one. Didn't expect Coldplay. Reminds me of being on the bus back to University, listening to this album on portable CD disc player. Ah, the good old days of Coldplay. Word of advice, stick to the first few albums they released. That's where the gold is, IMO.
So many great Coldplay songs from their first few albums! Keep going.
I'm SO happy to find some good Tool reactions where the song doesn't constantly get interrupted during the solo. Keep em up man, Tool Army here to support!!
This is the best Coldplay album ever, it’s so magical
I love this record and it isn't a cool thing to say these days. Your jamming on it made it better! I love that shit!
Wow, you're uncovering some real gems from my golden years-I'm loving it! Please, keep them coming ❤. Among Coldplay's classics from that era, my favorites include 'Trouble,' 'Don't Panic,' 'Cemeteries of London,' and 'Shiver.' The British bands from the 1990s to the early 2000s were truly phenomenal. Have you ever listened to the band Elbow? I have a feeling you'd enjoy their music too. By the way, I'm not quite sure how song requests work here, but if you happen to see this comment, I'd highly recommend checking out 'Bloom' Live from the Basement by Radiohead. Thanks a bunch!
This album and A Rush of Blood to the Head have some great beautiful songs.
Agree wholeheartedly. Everything after was a mess of populist garbage. Those first two records are solid gold tho.
@@colquittbrett There are some songs on that Viva La Vida album I like but not the album as a whole.
Coldplay are the band you want to hate but for some reason always enjoy listening to their songs, especially from the earlier albums as many have said. Would definitely recommend any of their earlier hits such as Clocks, The Scientist, yellow etc. Clocks would be my recommendation as it is a bit different.
Erol making trouble, reacting to all the good stuff :) ❤
One of the best from their catalog for sure
"A Live One" is the album that put many new phans onto Phish back with its release in 1995. This is where I would suggest to start. Peace
Stay early with Coldplay to be safe. There are some later tracks are good but you're safer with the earlier ones to begin with...even their early EPs and b-sides for the first couple of albums are worth a listen.
Love this. I got to see A Perfect Circle on their first tour back in 2000, opening for Nine Inch Nails (speaking of I’d love to see some NIN reactions). Incredible show. Magdalena is another favorite of mine off of this same APC album.
Might I suggest AMSTERDAM for a listen from their album A Rush of Blood to the Head.
coldplay is cool, most of the time but i think that damon albarn and thom yorke are just the best musicians from UK
Gallagher's also
Thanks for the reaction! I always loved the early Coldplay.
Puscifer also a great band.
and with this song and album radiohead perfected the form of the mainstream alternative song and record, and so moved on to attempt ok computer
Love that u don’t pause during the song
You have to react to "Money" live from this same show. But to "Dust to Dust", and "Error" and all their music jajaja😂
OMG... it is 5..... ! Dam.
To me, This song is the reverend bohemian Rhapsody. I don’t mean that literally. It’s just where bohemian Rhapsody makes me feel positive this phase inverts it in a good way. One of my favourite creations of my life time 😍
Never taste of the fruit... love that line
TWA here ❤
Welcome to the rock delight of The Warning ⚠️
Would love to see you react to Radioheads There, There or Morning Bell & The smiles Thin Thing
A+ reaction from someone who "knows their stuff." As much as I appreciate the randos with reaction channels whose primary focus is an overreaction and crazy faced thumbnail for their video, it's refreshing to see real music fans come on board.
If you want to switch genres, how about Prog Rock? Arriving somewhere but not here, by Porcupine Tree. Live version but audio only. Two guitars, one bassist, one keyboard and a drummer ua-cam.com/video/Zs-yAUkEf3w/v-deo.htmlsi=a7QflQeFg39wjXRZ
Here is the live version. Amazing band....Gavin Harrison is a monster on the drums. ua-cam.com/video/W3lsqUqGTzM/v-deo.html
From that album, Schism was a single. Parabol is the intro to Parabola. They have to be listened one after the other. The grudge is the opening song. You're also missing The Patient. And for me, near the end of the Album, there are three songs that must be listened in order. Disposition, Reflection and Triad. The total is way over 20 mins, but it's outer space music. This album is Tool's Dark Side of the Moon
From that Teatro Metropolitan show, any song is gold. Amazing sound quality and I prefer them to the studio version. But check "Dust to Dust". That show is from 2022. In Warning development years, that's old. Check "Hell you call a a Dream" live at Pepsi Center. That song will be oart of their upcoming album
There's a Rick Beato video about this song where he deconstruct it, because Billy Howerdel (the lead guitar and producer of A Perfect Circle) gave him the master files. There's also a play along videoof Billy talking about the song, how it was composed and recorded, while playing it. He said that the guitar were layered in the studio I believe 16 times
Now you have to check out Maynard's other band Puscifer, his restaurant/vineyard and his jiu jitsu studio
This song is inspired by the people in his mothers church congregation, whom Maynard overheard speak about his mothers affliction having been placed upon her as some sort of punishment for past transgressions. And the song embodies that feeling he has for the believers and their way of thinking.
This is true. On the APC dvd/cd amotion ,which has all their videos, you can select an option to hear either Maynard or Billy explain the song. I always thought he was angry at his mother in the song until I heard him explain it. Most fans still believe he’s angry at her in the song.
There is something so very special about The Warning. Dany, Pau and Ale's version honestly is equal to the original, and sits happily next to the original. What they did was took one of the most iconic songs in metal history, turned it on it's head and made it even creepier. At some point check out the official music video the girls did, because there is a lot of musical bliss that isn't performed live. For example Pau speaks the bedtime prayer (now I lay me down to sleep) in this very delicate voice, and during "hush little baby" you hear all three vocalizing a harmony with ahhs (spine tingling) with another track of Dany gently singing "hush little baby don't say a word." As you rightfully pointed out in your reaction to Evolve there is a deep classic vibe the girls create. The influence of "their dad's music" as Dany stated once, is very rooted into their DNA. As a musician myself of 40 plus years with 34 focused on bass guitar The Warning have hit me so hard. Ale is among my bass influences because the notes she doesn't play are just as important as the notes she does. Meaning she knows when to riff with Dany, or hold the beat with Pau. Even take the main riff (like in Dust to Dust or Disciple). Pau being the head writer/composer, music genius, multi award winning, co-director, scream of doom queen, and much more of the band reminds me of how much Neil Peart added to RUSH. Dany doesn't need to be some shredding guitarist because we've already had many of them (Vai, Satch, Petrucci), but she can rip! That's what we've needed in guitarist/singer for a very long time, and it's so awesome. It takes bands decades to reach multiple generations, and these girls did it in just 10 years having five to entertain: Baby Boomers, Gen X, Gen Y/Millennial, Gen Z (theirs) and Gen Alpha the kids behind Gen Z.
Thanks for explaining some of these terms for those of us who have no music theory background!
Digging the deep dives!
the song is actually in 56/3
Aloha Erol, Welcome to The Warning Army! You will read great comments from TWA below and above this comment, but I would like to invite you to watch their documentaries to educate yourself as to their history and personalities in their own words as well as their family and team members! TIDAL Rising - The Warning; and MayDay in the Making episodes 1-6; these will give you a better idea of who these talented young women really are! And please, do not be confused...this is no mere rabbit hole, The Warning is like a caldera...because their artistry is as wide as it is deep!!! Salud! #APDVillaReality
No, this band is not an "off-shoot" of Tool. This is actually Billy Howerdel's (the lead guitarist) band and Maynard is just a continuing guest singer... It's honestly a band full of other famous musicians as every member in each lineup are from famous bands. Freese is one of the most famous session drummers of all time, Paz is, of course, from the Pixies, Zwan, and a whole lot more, and all the other band members throughout the years are all famous in their own right (you should lookup the band lineup and timeline on wikipedia...). Billy himself has a couple of bands and was a guitar tech for Tool for a while. Maynard gets lots of the credit, of course, being the famous front-man he is, but this is Billy's baby...
