- Wow..
I truly love this tune.
Thank you to all who suggested this song and more Radiohead in general. I'm having such a fantastic time listening to all these songs. Please keep commenting and suggesting new songs, and we will get to them all in time! - Розваги
I think you are ready for Paranoid Android
Should I be worried? lol Thanks!
@@ErolReacts *Excited. It's a wild, fun ride. I'd recommend doing the whole Ok Computer album, one long reaction. It's a classic that really deserves a start to finish, full listen.
Paranoid Android is definitely one of the most iconic Radiohead songs (as is the whole album). Although, I think it's best to have some experience with the band‘s other work to appreciate it fully as it's a journey! I'd recommend either the album version or the live performance on Later with Jools Holland in 1997.
Studio version, then the live version 👍
@@kingshawukee 👍
The depth of Radiohead cannot be measured. Their music has affected me to my core.
I can see why they have such a devoted fan base! Thanks
@@ErolReacts With most bands, a reactor has 5-10 songs before they start getting into the B side, deep-cut catalog. With Radiohead, it's very difficult to create a top 100 list. And this is outside all of the side projects. It's amazing!
Every Radiohead song. First I appreciate the emotion and the lyrics. For the next couple of decades I discover more things I love about the song. Each time I hear a song, I think "this is my favorite Radiohead song." Then I hear I different song and think "this one is the best."
The groove in this song is insane and I love it so much.
This is probably my second favorite song on the album behind Reckoner but this album is one of my favorites in any genre. If you do any more songs from this album (In Rainbows) i'd suggest the live from the studio session from the basement so you can see them pull off these intricate compositions live flawlessly, in fact they sound even better live.
Thanks!
@@ErolReacts Reckoner is probably my favorite Radiohead song, probably up there with my favorite songs ever from any band! Hope you do that one. And yeah the live versions are fantastic but I always think you should do the studio versions first, especially with Reckoner there are absolutely beautiful stacked vocal harmonies
@@captgeech I love them both for somewhat different reasons.
Just imagine when he gets to From the Basement. Then he will truly ascend
Going up...? Thanks!
Time for album reactions. lol
We're gettin' there
Fun fact with this song. They used a binaural mic setup in a dummy head. The head was spinning on a turntable and some of the instruments swirl around your head in the round and round part. Only with headphones on though.
Oh $hit! I HAVE to check that out!!!
How to Disappear Completely
This one is one definitly on the list.
I second the motion!!!
And never be found
It's always fun watching musicians hear this band for the first time. Some of the stuff they've come up with over the years is just boggling.
I'm seeing that. Thanks!
These guys and Tool captured me in the 90’s around 17 years old. Im currently 45 and they have both proven durable enough to withstand the changes in the music industry and both still making music. I feel privileged to be alive at the same time as their creative prime and to have seen them live ✌️
Great music is timeless. Thanks
I wish I could hear these songs for the first time again.
The buildup in Jigsaw is incredible. Great reaction, sir!
P.S. Thom & Jonny, as their side-project The Smile, just released a great record called "Wall of Eyes". Follow up to their 2022 debut, also worth checking out .
Anything Radiohead-affiliated will get views, but as such is a bit...well-trodden. The new stuff, not as much...
Cool. Thanks!
Yeahhhhh! Reacting to one of my favourite songs with one of my favourite people to react to it! Thanks!
Thanks!
Ah, the Radiohead well is deep, enjoy! Great *songs*, typically built on an intersting musical idea/figure. I love how Thom shifts between vocal registers on this track; "the beat goes round & round/the beat goes ROOOOOOUNNND & ROUND". The lyrical repetition implies a spinning/cycling back, but also an opportunity to intensify; like a cetrifugal force acting on the emotinal center of the singer.
They flirt with this Flamenco-y style on "Present Tense" as well
Yes, I see these songs so far are powered by a rhythmic motif that the backdrop for the lyrics!~ Very cool.
Radiohead has been my favorite band since The Bends came out in 1995. It's awesome watching people like yourself reacting to their songs for the first time now... I could recommend songs, but there are too many. You can just put all of their songs in a hat and pick em one by one... I look forward to watching you react to more of their work.
Thanks! You're right about how many great tunes they have.
If you go to their channel, they have 20 concerts up that they put up during lockdown. I think it's incredibly informative to watch them play their songs, seeing their division of labor, and watching them perform for a crowd. For the advanced course, you can notice how these change over time. Keep enjoying! It's a deep well.
Thanks will check out.
My favourite Radiohead song ever.
Absolutely a great tune! Got a couple more Radiohead reactions coming shortly! Thanks
It's up there for me top 10 and my second favorite on the album after Reckoner.
I’m new to your channel and your earnestness comes through with the Radiohead reacts which were my intro to your channel. Props to your daughter’s taste in music by the way. Tool and Radiohead are my all time # 1 and 2 respectively so I look forward to seeing more tool reacts. Here’s a list of tracks in order of priority for next to react (in my opinion): live drum-cam of tool drummer Danny Carrey performing Pneuma, Lateralus, The Grudge, Vicarious, 46 & 2, Parabol / Parabola, live lollapalooza ‘92 performance of Sober. There’s a ton more but I’ve already overly rambled.
Hi! thanks for the input. Much appreciated!
BIG FAN OF YOUR PODCAST! PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD REACT TO THE BAND BEACH HOUSE THE SONG " MYTH" YOU WILL LOVE & APPRECIATE THEIR SOUND
Such a banger.
That smile when the bass and drums come in 😊
Thanks!
Watched a few of these videos... As a huge Radiohead fan, it's so exciting to see someone hear these songs for the first time and I hope you dive into Radiohead. With Radiohead, I think it's full albums that are listened to and compared more often than songs. I suggest from some of the tunes you have liked, give Kid A or In Rainbows a listen. I think you will love "How To Disappear Completely," and "Nude."
All on the list! Thanks
You're such a cool and smart dude Erol - a perfect match for Radiohead!
Thank you!
Please react to "how to dissappear completely " it is singer/song writer "thom yorke's" song he's most proud of. It's a masterpiece!
One of Radiohead's classics for sure.
You should do some King Gizzard reacts in the future
Will check it out!
One of my favorites!
Of course!
I dig your channel, 😅keep it up 😊 Also your analysis of RADIOHEAD is spot on, GR8 BAND 👍
Thank you. Enjoying the heck out of this.
CHECK OUT THOM YORKES FIRST DEBUT ALBUM "ERASER" LOVE UR PERSPECTIVE YOU REMIND ME OF MY GUITAR TEACHER!
Great that you loved it. Then you will have a “haha” moment when you realize that the chorus follows the chord progression of the intro!
Ha! Thanks!
Great reaction! If you listen to Videotape off of In Rainbows, be aware that the piano is syncopated. It might come across a bit dull if you are not aware of that. cheers!
In Rainbows is my fav'
Thanks!
Kinda left field request here but Thom and Jonny from Radiohead have a new side band, The Smile, that is amazing. They’ve released 2 LPs since 2022 and both are 10/10. This is their performance at the ‘22 Montreux Jazz Fest called Bending Hectic. I am a sucker for great sounding live performances. ua-cam.com/video/jM0MafOVrv8/v-deo.htmlsi=1vnGlETZCXoSAi48
Just took a listen. Pretty cool. That bending arpeggiated guitar riff is pretty wild. Interesting tune. I like it!
@@ErolReacts glad you enjoyed! I love how Thom talked to the audience before the song started, just very real and genuine person, just like his music. The best way I find to describe his music is authentic which is rare these days. Your daughter would probably enjoy this if she hadn’t checked it out
Your Jigsaw Falling Into Place critic is very short: Everything in its right place. 😊
Thanks
One of my favs
I can see why. Great band.
Tool and Radiohead have been favourites of mine since the 90s. #Perhaps check out Vermicide by The Mars Volta
So far I'm really diggin' these bands!
You can check out Where I end and you begin from the basement version!
Ok thanks
Every song has more than one hook and they're not the same. Melody, voice, lyrics, drums, guitar sounds, bass line. There's always a reason to listen more closely. It's all like a Van Gogh painting. The closer that you look the more colors that you see.
Finely crafted! Thanks!
+1 for Paranoid Android. I've heard it described as their "Happiness Is a Warm Gun" or "Bohemian Rhapsody"
Thanks. Will give it a listen
Just found your channel today, and I'm loving it so far.
If I may recommend a couple pieces...
It's All Nothing Until It's Everything by Knower
Introducing Place Players by Mew
I'm going to check out both I don't know either band but if you like Radiohead you probably have great taste in music.
@@jameshannagan4256 Sweet! I'd be interested to know if you like them!
@@FallenAdam I will as soon as I get a chance and i'll let you know. That's why I love these types of reaction channels I always find good music from other Radiohead fans.
Hi Erol...now I wanna know "what´s" on your car-driving-playlist ----- Please tell me 🙃
Listen: Present Tense... fron their album A Moon Shaped Pool
Will do
It's the best Radiohead album. Nude is best song of the album in my opinion
Thanks. Will check it out.
Would greatly appreciate a consideration for - Burn The Witch. Amazing song from Radiohead, a favourite.
I'll check it out. Thanks
@@ErolReacts Also for reference UA-cam recommended me the channel, greatly enjoying the thoughts and commentary.
Really cool to see you enjoy this song. Check out Radiohead-Nude if u get the chance
We;ve had a bunch of requests for nude... It's on the list! Thanks
You need to see Black Swan by Thom Yorke
I love how fat the bass tone gets in this one
Big bottom!
Please do A Wolf at the Door!
Will put on the list! Thanks
Johnny Greenwood, best guitarist in the world, hands down
I would even take it a step further and say he's the best musician in the world.
I'm really starting to see why. Ver inventive player
@@ErolReacts Johnny Greenwood has composed a bunch of movie scores.
I think you would appreciate Tool. Check them out if you haven't yet!
We posted a review of one a few days ago and it got blocked for copyright issue. Will try again and be a bit stealther!
