I'd like to see you react to the episode "Teachers Strike".

Eugene is an accident prone kid throughout show he is seen tripping over himself a lot, if he had pulled the fire alarm it would have been based on accident and he would have most likely admitted to it. This is how you know Eugenes innocent because despite his unfortunate nature of being (what the show refers to him as a Jinx) he's actually a really nice kid throughout the show.

But.. I JUST watched the Hey Arnold Christmas before clicking over to here. Curly definitely has issues. I always liked this episode and the entire show in general of course. Sincerely hope you will do more of this show. It is very well worth watching every episode of, but at least the school episodes would be nice. Teacher Strike would be a good one to do next! Anyway, as usual it was great to watch this and hear your commentary! Cheers!

Wow. I had a long post with every thought and tidbit I had along the way watching this with you and for some reason it appears as though UA-cam removed it. WTH, YT? Anyway I loved watching this and hearing your commentary along the way. This is one of the greatest christmas episodes of any cartoon ever. Very wholesome. Let's see, some of the comments I remember: Jamie-O is Gerald's older brother. Timberly is Gerald's younger sister. Helga's home life is extremely sad and depressing. Hey Arnold ran from 1996-2004. Well, I had much more than that lol. No idea why YT would have deleted it. Cheers!

If you want to see Mr. Krabs as a captain, I recommend the episode "Arrgh!" It's also from season 1.

0:57 Ernest Borgnine was one of my favorite actors of all time (I watch movies from the Golden Age of Hollywood all the time, and the Best Picture winning film for which he won the Academy Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role--1955's "Marty"-- is one of my all-time favorite films), and Tim Conway was hilarious. 8:46 At this point, Spongebob could've just went back to class by himself. 12:34 Sounds like something straight out of the 1960s if you ask me!

7:53 jury nullification would be a massive problem with this process were if your friend was part of the jury they would try to keep you in the school even if you stabbed 3 kids.

When it comes to consolidating schools, went through that by middle school, the schools used to be connected to the churches but the powers that be decided to make all the schools "interdenominational" so a few schools got shut down. My old elementary school was one mainly because the building was 72 years old and was too costly to keep open. A lot of maintenance with leaks & plumbing/heating problems, the unused 2nd floor was just used for storage. Supposedly it was condemned because a kid fell through the floor. The cafeteria was so small each grade had to take turns having access to it. That being said, it was sad because it was the town's oldest surving school and really should have been perserved as a historic building, but instead it got sold to someone who completely neglected it and eventually the town had no choice but to condemn it and it was torn down. Another one that got shut down was a bit controversial because the local penecostal church had this new building constructed with the church and school basically in the same building, it was only 2 years old and they shut that school down. Seemed like a massive waste of money. The church still runs to this day but all that space for the school continues to go unused. Also the two high schools had a long time yearly best of 7 hockey series: A fun rivalry. But with the new system, there would only be 1 high school in town so that came to an end. Not to mention with everything "merging" and different administrations (and possibly religious beliefs) having different opinions on how to run things. A lot of problems in the early going especially with discipline because once you got to middle school, you had no other school, So it's not like you could be expelled since they can't deny you an education and if you wanted to move schools for whatever reason, too bad you're stuck. Also sad for the teachers and principals when that happens cause jobs are lost, A lot of execellent educators forced to go elsewhere or remain jobless through no fault of their own. 😔

That is how kids would realistically react to a fire alarm being pulled. If theres a fire alarm drill everyone is notified in advanced. With me being on the spectrum its still to loud and i cover my ears and get out quickly and just wait on the space spot.

In my elementary school years, we had lots of fire drills (I liked them because we got to leave class and go outside), but I don't recall any instances of anyone pulling the alarm for no reason. However, at one point the alarm went off and the fire department actually came, and it turns out that an old air conditioner in part of the school overheated and released smoke that set off the detector, although it didn't actually start a fire.

I do enjoy the voice-acting by Clancy Brown. He has done some great projects in the past.

I don't know about how school budgets work, but shouldn't there be a plastic casing over the fire alarm so that there's an extra step needed to pull the alarm? Then again, If it did, then the episode wouldn't have happened in the first place.

I did accidentally pull the fire alarm on my elementary school, the alarms lock wasn't secure or broken and came open for a student to pull it. Since the school locks them to prevent false alarms
