6:33 Potential firing for Mr. Chopsaw for 1. Letting a minor student handle a hammer, and 2. Not immediately stopping and reporting the broken windshield to the person who owns the car
3. Not reporting the incident to the school principal. @@Alex-u2l6f Yeah, if the Boy's had won and the school got a hot tub. The teachers probably would've had permission to use it, while the school wouldn't let the students use it.
I participated in a boy scout troop fundraiser back in middle school and it was a car wash. I learned that day that you can't just wash a car with water and no soap, you're basically just rearranging the dirt. Thankfully it wasn't a paying customer my scout master had me test my claim that I could wash a car with just water on his car before we even opened just to prove me wrong when it drys.
It was once again great to rewatch this classic and hear your commentary. My middleschool did a carwash once and it was on a weekend and everybody was supposed to go to it but I didn't go. I wonder how many others didn't show up to it haha. Cheers!
I wasn't the most social kid and didn't take part in a lot of events. But my high school's big community thing was an annual Christmas dinner where senior citizens are bussed in and paired with a student. I looked forward to that each year.
2:41 I would guess they would use the hot tub as some sort of physical therapy (even though most schools aren't that big on physical therapy, I'm not saying whether they should or should not be, I'm just making an assumption about this school). 7:44 I can't believe that Mr. Sweeney gave them his car keys! 11:14 That's one of the funniest things I've seen in days!

When I was in 6th Grade, those who either behaved well or had good grades were given permission to be in a car wash at the school parking lot for both faculty and those who were in the area. I remember being involved with it.
That’s a good point! However, another reason might be that most people now rely on professional car washes that do a better job of making their car shine. Plus, with so many gas stations offering quick and affordable car washes, it's just more convenient for people to do it after getting gas.
You ever see in sitcoms someone is watching their friends hamster or guinea pig, but something happens where they accidentally dies. Then that person has to go to the pet store and find one that looks exactly like the previously pet? Well, replace a pet with Sweeney's car. Can you imagine Mr. Chopsaw trying to buy another car that looked like Sweeney's old car. Wouldn't that just be so over the top and funny?
2:10 Ahh.. I remember in 5th grade our class won something for (I don’t remember) Our reward was we got to choose between two options of what the school would build near the playground. The two options were.. 1. A Bean bag Toss.. But built into the ground Or 2. A stone trash can So we voted which one should be built. The winner was the bean bag toss. (It never got used) I remember I voted for the trash can. My reason was.. “The bean bag game is fun.. For 10 seconds” Even with that fun sentence we still lost. I don’t remember what we did to be able to make this choice.
I never had a school car wash where I went to school and didn't know anywhere that did. Personally I would not trust my car in the hands of middle schoolers. Also the boys vs girls thing was more done in Elementary school in my experience. Middle school always split us off into teams depending what classes we were in.
If a school has a pool, they can afford a hot tub as a luxury prize such as a pizza party. It would have to be student-body safe though. Definitely would have to be private.
