I’m going to side with u here, false vocal cord constriction is an excessive amount of force and rigidity being introduced into your neck, voice. It gives rise to the ‘trans-bot’ vocal sound, but worse, you’re literally pumping, toning & defining your voice muscles… strained voice, stringy muscles, yeah nah. There are better ways to become natural and flow authentically. Think about socialising, listening closely to the way other grls around you talk, how they inflect, where it sounds like they’re _placing_ their voice. You’ve got to be natural with it, this is your life, do what u want but as with any other grl you have to work with what body you have. Emulation and mimicry is the norm, girls are desperate to fit in with their peers. At some point you need to trust your own self, respect the work you have put in, let go and use your own authentic voice which (hopefully) you have been conditioning with use and interactions, prac at home. The freer and more relaxed u are, the more u r believable, passable. U have a right to exist, assert that right ❣️ Being trans is not a sentence to life enslaved to becoming an ideal person it’s about loving urself and other people enjoying your vibe. 🤷🏼‍♀️😘😘

how do you actually speak with the higher larynx tongue placement? i can do it now, but it makes my mouth space quite small, and speaking with the tongue in that position for more than a few words is not really possible.

I’m going to speech/voice therapy and even though I’m improving it gets discouraging. And it’s my fault because I have fear and shame of someone being an Ahole, even though I live in NY. I have to work on being braver. And I have a really soft voice as it is. I’m gonna study your videos. 😊

Hello. I'm a He vocalist. In December 2023, I was doing extreme and incorrect training exercises for a high larynx, and I think I moved the position of my hyoid bone. I've had MT and also neck, jaw and even sternum discomfort since it happened. It all just doesn't feel right. Do you think a few sessions with you might be able to help me?
