Yes! I notice this in my daily life. So often I slide back to my „male“ voice, just because I am unsure or tired. And shame plays such a strong role also in body language and the whole presentation.
anytime I'm trying to use my authentic voice, I can't... maybe this video gives me a better understanding
I 100% agree, and champion this message whilst simultaneously too timid to fully commit to it...
shame is like the one thing I remember from like age 7
I effing love you, thank you so much!!!!!
Claire, that was beautiful. Thank you! I'm just at that starting to use my voice stage and you're right, at the start it's bad. It's still SO much better than not being able to do so.
You're incredible! Thanks for sharing x
I’m going to speech/voice therapy and even though I’m improving it gets discouraging. And it’s my fault because I have fear and shame of someone being an Ahole, even though I live in NY. I have to work on being braver. And I have a really soft voice as it is. I’m gonna study your videos. 😊
Thank you. I’m still in my first month of one on one lessons and I struggle with shame and embarrassment even in that setting.
Great video. I cried
Thank you for sharing, I definitely identify with this, and feel this way as well. 🖤💚🖤
For me, it's also important to not project my own internalized guilt and shame on to others - I find this hard even with people that openly support me.
Thank you for this. It's good to hear.
ANN ARBOR!!!!!! Yay!
Omg you're from Fenton, I'm from Holy! This is the absolute last place I expected to here about my town's rival lmao
Claire, you are SO good! Thank you.❤ Teri
I am at a point where I dont really feel shame. Disgust from dysphoria, pretty often. Exhaustion, because keeping a voice thats kinda tolerable takes most of my mental capacity. And those two lead to resignation.
that was very wise
Thank you!!!!
hahaha, Claire is so fun. I never get bored of her shorts/clips. It's really funny at times when she gets all skit-like while still making a point and educating you.
💯
Such a beautiful lady 🥰
