A big thanks as always since you explain these concepts so simply that I don’t feel like I’m lost (which is an issue I find I have with a lot of other trans voice training channels)

How do you keep the larynx up without the tongue? Mine doesn’t move much and I can’t get it to come up and talk

One thing I do to practice voices in general is remember that when you yawn, the motion causes the larynx to drop down REAL low and when you swallow, it jumps up very high. So I practice swallowing and then sort of "hold the swallow" so long as it is reasonably comfortable. I don't try to speak or anything while doing this. I just focus on the sensation of muscles inside myself flexing and then holding still, strengthening them and getting a better sense of how they feel.
So I swallow, hold it (it kind of feels like holding your breath, and you might actually have to while doing this at the start, so take a deep breath first and don't choke yourself) then feel my throat where the larynx is. It moves up *incredibly* high. Once I figured out how to kind of flex it and relax other parts of my throat, I was able to swallow, make it jump up good and high, then relax everything else and then ease my way into speaking. There was an almost immediately noticeable difference, but it's far from perfect and will require practice. I've also heard that taking in a deep breath from your nose helps flex other vocal folds inside that can "brighten" the voice.
This next part is difficult to explain and really will only make sense if you do any kind of voice impressions, be they male or female, but I sort of know how to talk from different areas inside my mouth. Speak from the roof of your mouth, towards the nose, down low in the mouth, and a more obvious one is to the side. You know the "wise guy" kind of voice, like Joe Pesci and other types of gangsters, where you sort of move your lips to one side or another? That alone changes how your voice will sound. Some people naturally speak more from the front of their mouths, some from their nose (causing the stereotypical nerdy nasal voice), so on and so forth. A big part (possibly the biggest or even only important part) in making this work is the tongue and its positioning. Watch some voice acting advice videos, both from men and women, study how certain people whose voices you like talk. Someone like Tim Curry has a nasal quality to his voice, but I find to do an impression of him, I have to push my larynx down quite low while also keeping the pitch up high. It can get quite complicated, especially if you're new to it.
      Hope this helps you!
