Hey, don‘t stress about your german! I am german and everytime I listen to classical german music with lyrics (no matter who is singing) I need subtitles ;-)
My music teachers all troughout school didn’t think I could be in a choir, but during the last song I had for hs she said I had a good voice. I think it’s because I have loved singing and I like singing everything, even instrumentals and electronically generated sounds.
Claire,I think most of us have experiences that make use do things because we want to make sure anyone coming after us don't have the same problems. So I can relate to why you feel as you do. Service to our Nation State or our own community.
I ran the help line at the Transgender Federation of America for almost 3 years. I had about 85 calls a day 7 days week. I was working at the VA in Houston at the time too.
I had people all over calling for information on things transgender related therapists, surgeons outreach, homeless shelters.. People transitioning or thinking about it. LCSWs. I even had someone from Ghana call once. We didn't have any resource information for Ghana.
Everything we had only pertained to 🇺🇸.
Of course TFA only exists in name only today. The center in Houston closed about 7 yrs ago. We had a doctor of speech pathology that helped out at the center until she was offered a fellowship in New Zealand. She was at Rice University at the time.

How very interesting. I've been following you for a while now, and I had no idea this was your story. I totally relate, as I'm a singer myself. What I've ended up doing is simply keeping my tenor singing voice; I feel no disphoria whatsoever about that because... can't a girl just happen to sing in a tenor range? Why not? Says who? My speaking voice is something entirely different. And that's when your videos have proved to be SO helpful. Thanks and keep it up. (You should also do makeup tutorials. You are always so impeccable).
