I’ve just ordered my Model Y as my second car. I’ve gone for the Pearl white standard colour which everyone has moaned at me for and called me cheap. However, I also own a black Range Rover which is an absolute nightmare to keep clean so despite it not being my colour of choice, for ease, I am embracing the pearly white 😂

I currently drive a VW Touareg as my daily vehicle for the last 4 years. I test drove the Cupra Formentor, some Skoda Karoq models, Nissan etc., but none of them were as good to drive as my daily driver. I tested the 2024 Tesla Model Y and was deeply disappointed as it was noisy and jittery while driving. I really did not expect that. Now I am hoping the 2024 Model 3 is better. Otherwise, I will have to look elsewhere.

I have ordered a LR RWD. Not only for the range but mostly for the performance difference. You have very very briefly mentioned performance. Its not all about range. Buying an EV in 2025 that is slower than a 20 year old cheap BMW that can not even pay the deposit of this car is not acceptable in my book. Also for some reason the new red colour is much cheaper in LR RWD for PCH than all other models.

Apparently after 30000 miles the long range looses 6% and can only charge to 80% where as the standard range can charge to 100 % and matches the long range miles so if your only looking for mpg its not worth the extra 10000 s of pounds

I was planning on getting the model Y RWD LR but, Compared to the Model 3 RWD LR Highland 703km at a lower price for me it´s the right choice :)

RWD SR is the best value. You think you need more range, but in reality most of us don't. I own the new SR - I don't have range anxiety.

LR AWD eligible for both federal and state incentives that leaves it a no brainer over Performance (only federal incentive) and LR RWD (only 5k difference).

The 2024 Dual Motor Long Range is better than the new RWD Long Range as it handles and rides better not to mention it’s a second quicker to 60mph not to mention it the 4WD is much better in wet and wintery weather 🌦️ coming upon us over the next few months.

In August I went to look at a new Model Y RWD and ended up buying the new Model 3 RWD. It was far bigger than I thought and drove like a dream.. Love everything about the car. Then the cheap lease deal came out on the Y RWD last month so I couldn’t help myself, referred the wife and we now have 2 Tesla’s. I agree they are different cars but owning them both I’d say the Model 3 is the better car. Quieter, smother over the road and all the refreshed areas (efficiency, ventilated seats, ambient lighting, rear display) make it the winner BUT is it £200 a month better??? Maybe not… As Adam is all referred out I’m more than happy to oblige with a referral, the £1000 is better in your pocket 😉😂

I’ll have to figure out if the current model Y price, plus the current low APR is worth early termination fees and the $8000 I’ll be upside down due to my current lease. Probably makes more sense to wait, but then I risk the potential higher price of the Juniper and the possibility of not having a low interest rate. Any suggestions???

Great video many thanks. I bought a second hand 2021 long range and the price difference second hand to a standard range is negligible. Plus long range has another 20000 miles of battery warranty which is very valuable too.

Hi, thanks for your informative videos. I’m considering changing my car in the next six months, I currently drive a regenerative hybrid (7years and 70000+ on the clock) which I have loved because it has cost me so little to run - no road fund tax, no problems mechanically, just replaced the wipers and tyres. I’m still unsure about going fully electric but when I look at similar spec hybrid vehicles they will cost over £40,000 therefore I’m going to be stung with £500+ road fund tax for five years and the mph is no where near what I currently achieve, so more cost on fuel. I’m very tempted to dig deep and buy a long range model Y. Since retiring I’ve paid cash for my car. Are there any benefits from leasing if you are an OAP ? Thanks

Supercharging is $0.58 per kilowatt for me so home charging is definitely the way to go.

You can shove the Tesla in an appropriate spot. I'll take the diesel tractor designed as a French car that you referred to any day. Even better if the diesel tractor is Japanese and not French.

For me it depends how long you are intending to keep the tesla. if you are a leaser who changes car every 2- 3 years it makes no difference but the current bone , but if you are a keeper and intend to have it 8-10 years i’d wait. The period in between both those examples is more tricky

Tesla is still the best in all aspect. Our family has 4 Tesla cars, we still own the first one we bought 2014 Model S 85 kw original battery and DU. 260.000 km driven. Our newest one is 2024 Y Berlin made with BYD blade batteries, no other brand at this price even comes close. Not to mention SuC.

Since 2018 we have seen so many updates over time. The interconnection with Tesla Powerwalls and cars are awesome. When practical, we have our Tesla cars charge with solar directly (after the Powerwalls are charged). Tesla's software automates this process. The Tesla app also records how much power the cars used and the source of power. In the future, I look forward to Tesla Powershare integration to applicable cars and the support for V2G/V2H.

This month we recently got 2024 Model 3 LR AWD (by trading in a 2018 Model 3 LR RWD). It was a no brainer as all the enhancements from 2018 with FSD transfer, the $7,500 Fed tax credit, $1,000 referral credit, and the 1.99% APR. We have the best of both worlds as It joins a 2023 Model Y LR AWD (with HW 4 and many improvements you indicated) and a house with Powerwalls and solar.

1) Fix the suspension. 2 to 98) See point 1. 99) Don't remove the stalks like the 3. 100) Let me raise the steering wheel a bit more, like 6" higher or lower the seat 6" more. If they don't fix 1 I won't buy one. The '72 plate I own is the worst rising car I've ever owned in 30 years.

I have a question, hopefully someone on here can help. I notice that a left hand drive Tesla has the speed displayed close to the driver on the top left part of the screen, does this appear on the top right of the screen on right hand drive models?

I understand that the New Tesla Model Y Juniper will not have the steering wheel stalks that you have. That is a shame, and I prefer your set up.
