    Awesome car but I'm waiting for the Juniper, hopefully prices will be reasonable.

      Thanks for watching. It will be great when it’s here. I still wonder if they will make it a step up on the luxury, to make a bigger jump over the model 3, for a small premium 🤔 Either way we all wait with anticipation

    Can you please do a test with a sound meter or a phone where you test it at 50,110 and 130km/h so we see how noisy it is in db. How do you find the seat and ride comfort? Is it noisy at highway speed?

    What about someone looking for a Model Y with better suspension for family comfort? Is the RWD an acceptable option for family members riding in the back seats?
    I though AWD is the o e to go for in terms of comfort and everything else!?

      The suspension is no different between the models.

      The ride is shocking! Just over a month in on mine and I can't believe how bad it is over poor surfaces. Strange really, because handling is pretty good and over road humps it seems to absorb them ok. Low running costs are amazing. I'm saving over £150 a month I reckon. So, you have to take the rough with the smooth, so to speak 😊

      @@smithynotts291 did you test drive both models RWD and AWD? If yes, what did you think?

      @@Thatbeetle Really? I’ll have to book a test drive to check them both out. I hope I can ask someone from the Tesla team to drive it for a bit so I can check the comfort in the back seat.

      @@Miriam-dm6qz No, only the RWD model. I'm not aware of any difference between the suspension set-ups on the models, so I assume they are all the same.

    Given the size of your country I guess it's not actually so bad but here when I need to travel to Texas from my state it takes about 12 hours. In my Nissan Altima if I drive at 50 miles an hour I can go 800 mi without even stopping. Which means I only have to refuel a few times. So I can get from my state to Texas and literally 12 hours. But if I had to stop eight times for 30 to 1 hour each time then it would take me 2 days. (I'm estimating cuz I have no idea what the actual charging time would be)

    • @Thatbeetle
      @Thatbeetle 25 днів тому +2

      If you had to travel 800 miles then you'd charge twice or 3 times at the most and that would be travelling at 70mph. That would add 60 to 90 minutes to your journey as you normally charge for 30 minutes or less, for the time it's charging that's normally about how long most people take to relieve themselves and/or have a bite to eat.
      Also your maths don't work, 800 miles at 50mph would be 16 hours and if you can do that without stopping then you're superhuman.

    Two things the model Y AWD LR is not only a lot faster then the RWD LR and for folks who live in wet and hilly areas which cover many areas of the UK 🇬🇧 plus the extra equipment of extra speakers 🔊 and front fog lights are both lacking on some RWD models are worth considering. Plus in June 2015 was the best time to buy a model Y as there was 15000 free supercharging miles given to the vehicle in the UK market.

    • @AdamWellinformed
      @AdamWellinformed  27 днів тому +2

      Absolutely, buy for your requirements. But for the average driver that won’t be an issue for someone who rarely comes across that. Traction control is decent enough but AWD will always fair better. The rwd lr model y has premium interior so it has the extra speakers. In Q2, yes I got 15k supercharger miles but the best interest rate on offer was 0.5% and that wasn’t advertised. It was 1.8% for most. Therefore the £299pm offer or the the 0% apr offer in Q3 was still the best time to buy in my eyes.

    • @ts6070
      @ts6070 27 днів тому

      Well, I respectfully disagree as I have done the figures the difference in the same spec for my car which has the best Quicksliver colour option is only £3,660 extra over 5 years (this includes the 0.5% APR charges) more for AWD even considering extra performance and the traction plus the 15000 supercharging it’s definitely Q2 was the BEST time in the UK market to purchase the Model Y and LR RWD wasn’t even available at the time. Period.

      At the end of the day, who cares. I'm taking delivery of a MY RWD LR on Saturday and I'm very excited. Would I like AWD? Of course, but its outside my budget. I originally ordered the standard range but Tesla amended my order to RWD LWR at no extra cost, so I'm over the moon.
