    Tesla recommends to charge LFP batteries to 100% once weekly, this is only to calibrate the BMS(battery management system) so that you as a user can trust shown state of charge. Charging to 100% everytime is not healthy for ANY batteries, this also goes for LFP.

    Hi adam, I bought the RWD here in Ottawa I could not justify the extra 10K for an extra pittance of range on the car. That said the weight of the batteries should keep me firmly on the road . Also, all of my driving will be mainly in the city .

    Pick my new MY RWD up next weekend and can’t wait 😊 It looks like it’s a Shanghai factory version looking at the VIN. I haven’t really experienced range anxiety now for a long time, had it for sure with the Leaf as could scrape 100 miles of mway driving but my MG did more than enough and most modern EVs now have a range that suits the average journey in UK.

    I had a BYD Berlin MY RWD on order but due to a job change I had to change the order to a CATL LFP RWD. I’ve had the car 2.5 months and cover almost 6k miles. Average efficiency is 214wh/mi which is incredible for a car of its size! Charging, I can get 10-80% in about 21-22 minutes which in some circumstances is too quick. Especially when trying to get food at the busy M3 fleet services 😳 love my MY

    Great choice but for me the dull colour and range are an issue as you can loose 50 miles on a hot summers day parked with AC on to keep the cabin under 30c even the sunroom shade this is major reason why I am so glad 😌 I went for the MYLR in quicksilver is definitely the colour of the moment. The rest of your reasons are valid for LR but it recommended to keep LR and Performance model battery 🔋 topped up to 80% depending on your need but definitely plugin daily it’s actually recommended to keep battery cells at peak performance.

      Absolutely as the new base Model Y, ticket price is slightly higher but most consumers finance anyway. The difference is 90 miles more range, faster acceleration speeds and 250kw top charging speeds matching the other two trims now. It’s a pretty big spec jump with a not so much price jump!

    • @AdamWellinformed
      @AdamWellinformed  2 місяці тому +1

      Hey, the rwd lr range trim is a great middle ground between the rwd and awd lr trim. Assuming AWD and acceleration speed isn’t a priority for you. It really depends on if you can justify that price difference from the RWD version to see the benefits of the extra range 3/4 times a year. That’s the question you need to answer 👍 Hope that helped.

    Charging to 100% everyday IS NOT RECOMMENDED. You should only charge to 100% once a month to recalibrate the BMS to provide you a more accurate driving range.
    Other than that... keeping the car between 25%-75% is a good habit.
