I was born on Pelee Island and was raised in Windsor Ontario until I was 17yrs old. I still think of Windsor as my home town. There is so much more to see and do in Windsor than where I live now

You forgot to mention that Ford had massive layoffs with plant closures. I left for Alberta in 2006. There are most certainly gangs and racial violence. I am a cripled older man who went back to say goodbye to his dying mother, and I was assaulted, and kicked to the ground and brutally beaten. Was told I couldn't return to bury her. All her family heirlooms and belongings were stolen, I wasn't allowed to have anything, and if I tried, the next time I showed up, I'd be murdered. Windsor is the shit hole of Canada. Low class trash. Stay away.

Love how Tecumseh has been adding good density over the years. They seem to be much more progressive than Windsor. I'm excited for the development at Tecumseh vista/battery plant.

Holy Crap, Who'd of thunk there would be a LaSalle video on U-Tube. In 1953 my old man bought a property in LaSalle on Maple Street and then built a house from instructions he learned from "Build a house for 3500.00 Dollars" This was given the address of 555. From 1954 until 1959 me and my brother lived there until the old lady grew tired of the old man and disappeared. 2 weeks later the old man is abandoning me and my brother at Aunt Barbs house and she was really pissed. Our house in LaSalle was never finished before moving in. The walls were just studs except for the folk's bedroom and the bathroom. As a 4-year-old the neighborhood was sparse of Neighbour's and if you stepped across the gravel road of Maple Street you would disappear into the thicket and explore the Flora and Fauna. Our closest company were French Catholics, they made kids like nobody's business. Mom would push me out the door in any sort of weather and I would be obliged to wander off. When people ask "What age would you go back to if you could, I said 5. No bills, no cares, before 1st grade and I could do whatever I wanted, once pushed out the door. LaSalle was the first time I ever played "Show me yours and I'll show you mine". The girl next door had a secret hiding place in the Hay bales and we were just the size to crawl into a cave that was perfect for touching the sensitive bits. When I learned to ride a bike I went around in the street to collect pop bottles that were redeemed at 2 cents each. With my pop bottle money, I then bought a comic book, a soda and a 5-cent candy. LaSalle was a great place for a young kid. P.S. Once saw a man carried down from a roof after he got electrocuted, everyone was there.

Poor old Windsor, my hometown. My family used to have businesses on Oeullette and Goyeau south of Wyandoote and now that area looks like a demilitarized zone. North of Wyandoote is a bit cleaner but stilll a ghost town. When I was a kid the downtown was humming, then the Casino really wrecked the place. Thanks a pantload, Bob Rae.

My hubby and I watched a lot of your videos when we were looking for our home in the Windsor Essex area, they were very helpful. We recently moved to Kingsville to a nice quiet neighborhood and loving it. The drive to Windsor for us is about 35 mins without traffic, not bad at all, plus there is a Walmart and other major grocery chains just a few minutes up the street in Leamington. Lots of farmers markets with delicious produce and lots of plant nurseries for those who love gardening.

I'm an international student living in Windsor for the past 2 years now. It is a city of community. Very diverse, and offers countless opportunities to network and build your own community. Lot's of events and activities to live a great life.

Also my brother lived for a time on in ford city, right neat the mural. Definitely run down, and one time I saw prostitutes walking around. There are a few nice places to mingle at, but definitely not a place to stay after dark. His apartment he was renting was the sweetest loft I ever set foot in though. I wanted it for myself really bad!

fuck bro, im from sudbury and i think its almost as humid as Toronto. I have family in timmins and when I go there it feels the same Sudbury. I thought Pine Beatles were the worst bug in Ontario I am wrong lol. I'm in Calgary now. I googled places in Canada without snow cause I lived a year in Van and a year in victoria. but its too expensive at the time rn. Your channel and windsor popped up and being from Ontario its crazy how much I didn't know about this place!

It is CRAZY to me to hear that Windsor is "warm" and doesn't snow. I grew up in windsor but haven't lived there since 2004 (I've lived in bc, nz and now australia since). When I was little we would regularly miss school for snow days. I used to build snow forts and go ice skating ON the frozen Detroit River. Santa's reindeer used to leave footprints in the snow on our roof. A green Christmas was rare. I HATED Windsor and couldnt wait to get out, but as an adult, I am shocked at how beautiful and comforting I find it when I go back. ❤ thanks for this video. I am about to land in windsor again in a few days and am actually looking forward to it. ❤

And just across the border you can get a mansion for half the price. 😂
