I don't know the house prices, but across the street from your East Windsor area is Rivard Ave (fountain blue), also East Windsor. This is another great area. 2 schools, couple churches, big park and a library. Fire station is pretty close, Freshco up the street. East Windsor is a hidden gem. Everything needed is nearby; bus routes, all the grocery store options, lots of kids and families around.
I am absolutely blown away at the prices. You guys have to pay for those post war time houses! I moved away from Windsor in 1974. My house was $18,000 and it was a two bedroom bungalow on Turner Road. When I see houses of similar size going for $300,000 it absolutely is mind-boggling.😮
Bought my first home on Fraser Ave in that area in 2013-$116,000 sold it in 2018- $205,000 . Next person did a complete renovation top to bottom, sold in 2022 for $500,000. 2 bed 2 bath!!! Completely insane lol
I guess Windsor is more affordable than Toronto and Vancouver including housing. I wanr a safe neighborhood with affordable housing. If we wavt to purchase a house can we receive any governmental help and we will settle the amount with time?
There’s a house on Meldrum road right now listed for $99,000 I couldn’t believe my eyes as someone from the GTA, not to mention it is pretty nicely finished inside as well. What do you think of that area and what do you think it’ll end up selling for?
Hopefully the SandwichTown improvement fund gets spent this year and next and helps with some of the issues.
Hopefully!
I grew up in Windsor and moved away in the 70's. This was quite informative and interesting.

What's the price range of renting out one bedroom apartment and two bedrooms in Windsor?
One bedroom would go for 1250-1650 depending on where it is and how nice it is. Two bedrooms can be 1500-2000

I haven’t been through the house but I don’t trust that listing price at all. That’s a fine area to live - most houses sell between 350k and 450k
What to choose between Calgary and Windsor?
Good question. Windsor has low prices, less cold, and access to USA. Calgary has Banff, skiing, and lots hiking
Thanks
