I grew up in that area. We were on vercheres not far from the St. Denis Center. I think it's all student housing mostly. A lot more run down than the 70s and 80s. There's some decent houses there but I'm not sure 350 to 400 prices are that great for that area if I'm being honest

True story: decades ago when my parents were house hunting, they found a nice little house on Askin but there were some issues with the house. We ended up living a few blocks away near College and Campbell. These areas were mostly family-oriented neighbourhoods, but yes the students are now moving into the area, same as in Askin (near Pelletier) as well. What's great about these areas is that you're about 15 mins walk from the University or a bus ride away from St. Clair College and downtown so a lot of students are renting. There are still lots of famliy-friendly homes there today (especially east of Campbell and south of College) and if you don't mind living near students, this a great affordable area!

Closed on a duplex on McKay for $315k back in August. Made the right decision because the University will only grow and the Gordie Howe bridge will bring more attention towards the west end. Not to mention it's super near Detroit for day trips and the food around here is top quality.

Hi Ryan, new subscriber here.. We’ll be moving to Ontario as PR late this year from UAE.. I’m currently surveying and looking for a good area for a family of 4 with small kids (3 and 6).. Windsor is one of the places in our list.. Any suggestions?

Yes Windsor has lots of good neighbourhoods that would be suitable. South Windsor, LaSalle, Riverside, Tecumseh, Lakeshore etc. I have many videos on each. You can call me to discuss if you have more questions

I wouldn’t necessarily say up and comer. But it’s a place for a family to get an affordable(ish) home in a safe area. For that same price you could end up on much worse streets
