Your video was Great!!!! I was looking for a bit of mode action and that's what you showed. Thank you!!! I appreciate it!

Nice review, Lofty. I just wanna correct one thing; There's no auto blipper, it just slips the clutch on downshift.
@@The.JZA. no. That's correct there is and has never been autoblip on this bike thus system gives you the same effect and works amazingly well...I love it, so light too....thanks for
@@theloftybiker3090 I'm sorry, not trying to be difficult but I disagree. The system does not actuate the throttle. It does facilitate a downshift by operating the clutch when you push the gear lever down, but it does not blip the throttle.Maybe you were holding the throttle partially open when you downshifted and that's why you felt like it was blipping. If Honda put a RBW throttle on this bike then it would be able to but it still oldschool cable so the system has no control over throttle whatsoever.
@@The.JZA. I agree with every word you have said.....I didn't say it had autoblip, I said the system allows you to go up or down the box without using the clutch , in the same way a bike with a QS & AB does only quicker...it will be out on the newer models with FBW throttles very soon.....its a game changer...so much so BMW, KTM and MV are all bringing out similar systems.....thanks for watching
@@theloftybiker3090 Okay sorry I misunderstood your last message. Cheers

Linny's 'Born to be Mild' photo coup😂 Sorry Honda, the price tag and the fictional world "commuter bike". I've never mat a youngster or commuter rider who confines themselves to sub 40km riding. 30mph and dropping to sub 25mph is dangerous in many situations! Interesting bike, but very very wrong!
Well said, I do so agree...£3k over priced and 10bhp under powered....what are big H thinking.....ev cycles will burn it off.....I don't think it will be a seller......lets hope petrol lasts another 20 years.......

Motorcycle rules need a complete revamp. These things are an absolute danger. I'm old lol but my Fs1e would hit mid to high 40's and my mates AP50 well in excess of 50.

Brilliant review ta ! Amazing extra for 100 quid, crazy not to have it even if it isn’t used. I did fancy an XSR900 but the bars were too uncomfortable for me and me wrists ached for 4 days after a 30 min test ride. I’m taking a CB650R out for a run with E-Clutch, I’ll probably get one for a laugh as I’m always in traffic and me left hand is too old now. I don’t care what anyone says about it being whatever, at least I’m still on two wheels and can do more time in the saddle and enjoy the ride 👍🍻
No brainer.....I have owned an XSR 900, a wonderful bike. Amazing power to weight ratio....enjoy your test ride.....thanks for watching
We did Portsmouth to Santander a couple of weeks ago. Headed to the Pyrenees this year. You've got to love the empty roads of Spain. Love the restaurant place. Wash your pants and also have a meal. 😂

You can put a lot of meat pies in the trunk
Why make a tall bike, nice high bars upright position then put high sports bike pegs on it ??? At least have adjustable pegs ??? I’m 6ft 3 and love the look and specs on this but couldn’t buy it as it’s too cramped
I agree Paul....deffo an own goal...stupid really, it's not roomier than the GT.....thanks for watching
love mine, but my gearbox is playing up, drops out of 2nd and generally has trouble with 2nd. Will get it looked at at next service. 1500 miles in.
That's not good Roger....are any others with the issue?
I'm thinking about the cbr for my first bike. I love the look of it and the e-clutch at an extra 100, you'd be daft not to.
It's worth £100 to have the up and down QS.....bargain....thanks for watching
Don't be afraid to test it out even if you are vertically challenged. I'm 5'5 (165 cm) and it's no real struggle due to the narrow seat. I ordered my f900gs with the low seat, which will be enough for me, but you can also order it with a lowering kit
Well said...never be afraid to test ride any bike, always try before you buy....thanks for watching
Oi mate, got a question here... i saw you use the front break a lot, but i was always told to use the rear brake most of the time and only the front for extreme situation. Would you explain it to me?
We are different and ride differently....generally on roads riding the front is the power...ideal for stopping and slowing quickly. The rear is more of a stability device, for steading during slow manoeuvres. It can also be used to keep the front on the ground and for backing into corners.....thanks for watching
Hello! Can anyone say something about engine? Is it still reliable as previous years model?
Try the forums or Facebook page....generally happy owners don't have much to say.....thanks for watching
Great cast
Only the best......
Great review! Currently on the market for one of these CBs. My main concern is that I don't look too silly riding one with my 6"1 foot
It's a great bike...try before you buy...thanks for watching
what would you personally prefer, the 900gs or the R12 nint? greetings Belgium
Hiya...2 very differing bikes produced for totally different customers.....The F900gs is a very tall semi off roader, distinctive endruo style....Where as the R nine t and R12 nine t are classic retro style bikes with quite low seats. My question to you would be how tall are you and what type of riding do you do????
@@theloftybiker3090 I am about 6.1 tall and am a fun rider and like sporty riding and sprinting and I also like looks...
@vanaccolor the F900gs enduro is a fantastic dual purpose bike, possibly the best BMW have made....very tall and focused with proper 50/50 tyres I love it, very much....go ride one you will not be disappointed
Very nice review Lofty, you covered everything like a true pro.. well done sir. I have to say that although you did a fantastic job of explaining and demonstrating the e-clutch, I still can't quite get my head around it.. by that I mean it's not an automatic because you still have the foot gear selector, but yet it can't stall.. it actually sounds amazing.. a great concept. I ride a CBR650F and now that I've watched your review I might get down to my Honda dealership for a test ride (purely for curiosity sake) 😊
Thank you for watching
Love your videos and look forward to new ones. Had a ride on an NT1100 last year after watching one of your videos and ended up buying one. Fantastic bike, heading off to Picos and Pyranees end of Aug with it. Always a great entertaining watch 😁🏍

Camera angle little high, cockpit view would be more appealing.
Yes for touring I use an XL pro side helmet mounted. Although not the best view, if far easier to operate on long days. Yes my DJI action 4 gives a far better picture and view, but it's such a faff. Battery life is a nightmare for 7 hour days.......thanks for watching

@theloftybiker3090 - I went to Honda shop with a measuring tape. And measured the steering bars and the extremities of the mirrors on my Cb125R , the ADV 350, XADV 750, the Forza 350 and the 125 Forza. They are all the same width!! 3 foot wide or just under 92 centimeters. 👍

Hi John, hope don'tmind me asking this question on this particular unrelated video (great channel by the way) but had quite a bad experience on a heavy bike so looking for a lighter bike. I really like the Honda 1100nt and noticed you had one would you mind telling me if it is possible to lift this bike on my own if dropped (6'4") (I know, don't drop the bike😉) sorry to take your valuable time but your help would be really appreciated, thanks. Stuart
Well Stuart at 250kg....the NT1100 is a big bike and I think I would struggle to pick it up without the aid of my pillion. If you are riding solo, I would go for a lighter bike. There are lots of good middle weight, ie 800cc bikes around 200kg which are far more manageable. It really is about what you need from a bike and what your usage will be......my other rude is an R9t scrambler....love it much lighter. Its a solo bike for everyday, Not suitable really for 2 up or touring.....
That's great, John. Thanks so much for your time. Stuart

Just bought the exact same bike and colour. 22 plate, 1 lady owner with just 186 miles on the clock. What a lovely little bike. To complement this, I have also just purchased a Royal Enfield super meteor 650. 2 very different but wonderful rides and both for the same price of my previous 22 plate GSX-S 1000 GT which was way too fast.
IMHO 2 very good choices....thanks for watching
Do you know or could you ask when you’re next at that BMW dealer - are they likely to bring out other variables in particular the Pure version. I had a pure many years ago, but don’t need super top spec front suspension which is the same as the BMW S1000R, for a bike of this style, which is probably a bit over engineered in that respect , I’d be very interested in a Pure version which if lower spec front suspension could offer a big saving as it does in the previous range. As ever a top class , brilliant review from my favourite You tube reviewer thank you so much

Hey, serious question, i have a 2011 SH300 i love it but i find it gets blown about a bit in moderate winds, its great round town but not great on higher speed roads, should i upgrade to a 2024 ADV 350 will it be more stable on higher speed roads? or should i keep the old girl and put up with the buffeting?
The gen Honda screen works very well on the SH.......the 350 engine is the same in both models. I do think the ADV is a much sexier looking in machine, but you loose the ability to step through and hang a bag.....because of the power similarities its really down to which style suits your needs.....thanks for watching
