Super video thanks for making this
You are welcon=me...thanks for watching
Greetings,
As always another brilliant detailed video 🇺🇸🍾🎉🇺🇸
Keep producing more videos.
Thanks, will do!
Log burner on, Single malt in hand watching you great show review - the perfect autumn evening!
thanks Tone....have a wee dram for me
Good video and comments, china bikes hopefully good value (price wise) anyway , i looked at zontes and really nice bike zt350 @ £4999 ,.thanks for informative video, cheers ,.
You are welcome, thanks for watching
Missed this year's show
Many thanks for the vid
Glad you enjoyed it...thanks for watching
Greetings from wolvo , great video I'm gewing there on Saturday. I remember the bike shop at moxley used to pass it everyday gewing to work when I was a kid on my brand new 400 superdream !
Bostin ay we.......ta very much for watching
Good video lofty👍👍
Glad you enjoyed it...thanks for watching
great vid lofty
Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for watching
Absolutely brilliant just like a big kid in a sweet shop 😂 as you mentioned the new Himalaya looks great as does the Suzuki’s and the CF Motos ..thanks for taking the time to share this year’s NEC bike show it’s much appreciated.
glad you enjoyed it....thanks for watching
A few interesting bikes, but not enough to make the ticket worth the price. KTM 990 looks a tad small, but then the Dukes always look low, I'll wait for the new 1400 variants. That Suzuki GX looked well tasty, pity they didn't offer radar cruise. Thanks for the round up.
you are welcome ...thanks for watching
I’m glad I didn’t go, ticket prices are way too much, £30,plus car parking and fuel, not worth the effort 😮
@@Achilles22 I believe the in advance prices were very reasonable for the amount of entertainment on offer......thanks for watching...PS I was amazed how many people were paying £30 on the door
@@theloftybiker3090£31...and £60 parking ,if I didn't scam it..,£3 for 2 days, if you know how 😂
@@theloftybiker3090 yes I sold a spare ticket last year as my wife was Ill, got £25.00 for it! Not enough for me to see this year.
Great video, thanks for all your efforts.......👍
thanks Lofty.....lol....
Brilliant vid big boy with lots of useful information. I also thought that your side kick performed exemplary 👍
PMSL my sidekick.........he nearly smiled....see you Thursday...it's your round LOL
You were very impressed with the Himalayans fit and finish i would have loved to hear your comments on the Triumph 400s fit and finish which so many reviewers say is nowhere near as good. It looks to me like the RE is built up to a quality whereas the Triumph seems to be built down to a price.
The way RE have consistantly uped their build quality and finish is amazing......I was really looking forwards to the Little Trumpets, unfortunately I had technical problems with my cameras. Thats why they are missing along with BMW and Yamaha....Hopefully I shall get to ride and review them in the new year....Sorry, but thanks for watching
Likewise very curious try E Clutch on Honda & Hybrid Kawasaki be interesting ride
Best review of the show yet, John………….thank you
No than you..very kind words
Great coverage Lofty. Very impressed with the new Suzukis and Triumph 900 Tigers. Prices in general seem to have sneaked up putting many outside the reach of lots of people. Lots of unnecessary complications on some like the Hondas and hev kwackers.
For the money, I’m tempted by the Suzukis. Some cracking new models including the GX.
Thank you.........Yes about time Suzuki got their fingers out, the GX is a very promising bike indee....EV bikes are a fad that the manufactures are being forced into persuing...pertol aint dead yet>>>>>>
Best show video I’ve seen, well done Lofty
thank you so much
Nice one Lofty, great review of the show and the individual bikes.
Remember on KTM’s black frame on the S models and Orange frame on the R’s😜
It's all a blur Woody sometimes...so much going on in the little head...thanks for watching
See you there Saturday!
I'm back in Cornwall now....enjoy the show
I went this morning (Tuesday) and really enjoyed it. Loads of great machines, but for me the highlights were:
The RE Meteor 350 in pale blue
The R18 full tourer
The Indian tourers
Watching the BMW off-road display guys.
great show, especially if tickets and parking are bought in advance......thanks for watching
The only BMW I wanted to see...wasn't there...900GS green/red one
@@williamrae9954 ME too...I was hoping to see the R12 9t (unveiled Friday)
I’m there tomorrow Lofty, looking forward to it.
it's got some great entertainment going on Brucy, in addition to looking at the bikes!
Great video lofty.. The new suzuki can have heated grips, centre stand, panniers, but are extras.. Plus suzuki advise against a top box for some reason.. Nice looking bike..
I noticed the center stand while I was editing the vid...the GT is a good bike , but I think the GX could well be a great bike......thanks for watching
Hi lofty, I was there Monday, way too busy, I liked the honda hornet 750 in yellow 🟡 xx
Great bike....super engine....thanks for watching
Not able to go this year.
So well done, especially enjoyed the KTM section.
thanks for watching
You didn't miss anything, trust me, place was struggling to fill space.
I had to laugh when I saw my wife and myself in your vid on the Kawasaki stand looking at the new Hybrid.
Glad you had a good laugh, thanks for watching
Love ya ou honest reviews , did you grr E t a look at the CF Moto 450 MT it looks like it’ll tick the box for a few older riders like myself if you’re looking for a lightweight adventure bike .
CF MOto are on it....It will all depend on Dealership support...They are getting hard to ignor..........
2024 Adventure Sports AT is lower as now fitted with 19"Front wheels instead of 21" plus Adventure sports only be available in DCT, manual only available pure off road option.
Half the show of 2019...no Dot,BSA,HD,Moto Guzzi, Aprilia, etc...went for 2 days, didn't bother with Sunday...spent the money in the pub with the parents of the Louis Tomlinson fans :)
P.S; Honda e-clutch is basically a 3 pedal Scania Opticruise truck, same principal...and in my company colours, green and silver!
I really enjoyed my day at the show this year......the cost of exhibiting has gone wild...HD didnt come and saved them selve £50,0000 a day in costs....obscene!!!....
@@theloftybiker3090 Those leggy women don't come cheap ;)
£17 for parking if you do not pre-book someone is taking us for fools. BMW had an excellent stand, Indian put in a lot of effort, loads of electric bikes but where were Harley, Moto G etc?
You can still get a nice bike for under £10k but it's hard to see some of the £25k+ bikes sell more than a dozen or so models a year.
Would I go again? Probably but I'll start saving up from tomorrow.
I agree entirely.......HD have financial problems...MG are part of the Piaggio group who only did EIMCA this time
£3 parking...if you know how 😂
@@williamrae9954WOW...thanks for watching
BMW had brill stand, pity you didn't view it
As I said I had technical problems...yes BMW was ace....shame the new model release was at the end of the show.....thanks for watching
the bike in the beginning is that nt 1100 white?
Yes thats my 2022 NT 11000 DCT with a Fireblade Burntout design sticker kit....ua-cam.com/video/IJ8Sd4EEM9I/v-deo.html
Hi wat was the bike shop in Walsall again only I'm in wednesbury thanks. And the video was well good
It was back in 1976/7...can't remember now. We used to go to a little Brit bike only shop in Moxley too. The ower was Panther mad....those were the days....MOT's at Hartills in Bilston
@@theloftybiker3090 yes I remember the one in moxley and there was a couple in Walsall think one was called the bike mart opposite the troth pub or machine mart maybe. But thanks for the reply your video was great. I'm thinking of going to the show need some fleeces as I'm running out is there any good clothes shops at show ?
@@theloftybiker3090 And yes Harthill was still using the place before covid came cheapest in the black country
The Bike Mart was the one up the road from Balloons and The Watering Trough … was owned by Henry Smart …. Used to drink with him and he hired me a CG125 to do my bike test in 1992 !
@@DucatiDave68 1992! you are only a wee bairn
Wonder if the Chinese Brembo brakes are knock off
Italian owned Brembo are made in many countries......Brembo have their own factory in China too. The factory was opened by Alberto B himself in 2019.........thanks for watching
Be nice see your future ride on kymco 550 Premium see what you think of it certainly more value for money maxi scooter what rip off Yamaha are. Kymco done well 550cc bike putting out 52bhp only 2bhp off my 2015 nc750x DCT. It does look like nice machine ideal commute on bit shopping and leave bigger touring bike AT or NT for what it's meant for.
I rode the MAX SYM it too is a great super scooter...hopefully the Kymco will be just as good....thanks for watching
Thanks but your video is out of focus on my android
thanks for watch, sorry to hear you are having focus problems with your phone......
I've stopped looking based on looks, I only buy based on dealer network, and dealer sense. I had to stop buying Kawasakis because the dealers where so rubbish. Royal Enfield anyone? Everyone?
I'm axactly the same!
It was very bad, very sparse exibits,no Harley, No Mv Augusta to name but a view. plenty of electric bikes of the push bike style (although technically they're not) Distinctly lacking, I was shocked to what it used to be. Some great looking bikes of ones I've never heard off. £6 plus FOR A SANDWICH, £16 FOR fish and chips.£5 to £6 FOR 2 coffees. You could get round it in half the time of say 15yrs ago. If you could do 2hrs you would be doing well. And get this, One of the only stands that didn't have prices was ural, they start now at around £23,000 you can get a bagger Goldwing for that, how on earth are they going to sell them?. I'd rather be honest to help the place and manufacturers up their game.Hugely disappointing. I'd travelled 300miles to see this. One more thing Triumph ( my favourite brand) you need to put more colours in your Rocket, 3 choices as far as I could see and all of them chrome and one colour and one in all Chrome, those colours do not do the largest Capacity production bike in the world justice you need one in at least Black and BRG, (subjective I know,) .and no touring model. Mind you I think all manufacturers are very unimaginative when it comes to colours lately. BSA where surprisingly good, great to see the marque, regardless of where its made. Good deals on full sets of A I.O. leathers start at under £200, gorgeous thick hide leather jackets, especially in Brown, £100. Not taking away anything from the lofty biker, always good, I saw them there on Tuesday.
thanks for watching
just open visor ffs ? why are people getting lazy ?
Hiya Wombal, often touring bike with tall screens don't allow enough wind blast to clear visors , even when open. Especially when the vents are taped up the give better sound from the Microphone.....I have no problems on my R 9T, the NT is the oposite, always misting...thanks for watching
Two things I do not understand... a quickshifter at a track to save a few tenths is great on a sportsbike... why put it on a naked, I'm in no hurry to get my milk from tescos 2 tenth faster... more electronic rider aids (that reviewers are showing how to turn off) that will eventually lead to twist and go 1000cc bikes becoming as prevalent as honda c50's... what's next, a bike with no rider input an autonomous bike with the route laid in via an app and the "rider" and pillion are merely passengers who refuel it 😁 but seriously why quickshifters on road bikes?
Secondly the gsx 8r... it's the gsx 8s with 4 or 5 bits of extra plastic for another £1500. Sportsbikes used to remove the fairing to become (overly) powerful naked bikes, now we have modest powered naked bikes that we are led to believe become fire breathing sportsbikes by adding weight and a couple of panels....
Unfortunatley correcr on many levels.....Not sure how old you are but I would say enjoy the bike of your choice now whilst you still can.......PS you never mentioned ULEZ? Self driven cars & bikes on open roads will become a myth......all in the name of safety and saving the planet.....thanks for watching, keep safe and fill yer boots
@@theloftybiker3090 I'm 65 😁my first bike was a Hercules 50cc, followed by trials bikes, 2 strokes including a kettle, gpz 900r, hayabusa, fireblades and several gsxr 1000's before comfort dictated a move to a gsx s1000 in 2021. Now a 750 hornet or mt09 look quite appealing due to the lightness of their front wheels 😉. I remember when it felt like every housewife had a 50cc and an open face helmet that barely covered their hairdo 😁but governments have become increasingly anti bike, Ulez, 60's becoming 40's 30's becoming 20's and speed cameras generating money I mean creating safety on roads that have never had accidents lol. Plus manufacturers are trying to appeal to the younger generation with technology which increases the price, personally I just want a bike that's fun and comfortable, I can live with a few quirks and drawbacks as long as it excels on the 2 main points. Your channel is more in touch with the average biker than other channels who sometimes are reluctant to say anything that may upset a manufacturer. Keep it up.
@@davidgray8863 I agree....thank you for watching more videos
Not aimed at you Lofty, but I find the vast majority of bikes on display have acres of cheap looking gaudy plastic that is bad taste personified.......in my opinion! What happened to style and aesthetics?
Bikes became too heavy, plastic is lighter than steel........😉
@@theloftybiker3090 Old bikes were lighter. They didn't have all the "must have" electronics that we have been brainwashed into expecting. I'll stick with my Guzzis and am selling my DCT Honda. It's very clever, too clever and none of its tech makes it any more satisfying to ride.
@@clay2pot I do agree....very dissapointed the new W/C Stelvio was not at the show!
Absolute garbage! . It’s been for a couple of years since I was there, and I will not be going ever again! . £18 to park, disgraceful.
Why not try EICMA or Cologne.......thanks for watching
