Olight Arkfeld Ultra
Переглядів 1 тис.9 годин тому
This is the Olight arkfeld ultra it’s made out of their own new kind of aluminum and is a lot tougher than standard aluminum all of these arkfeld series of lights are great but having the light, laser, and UV light all in one place makes this thing extremely unique. These are great quality lights and they have the best warranty.

I guess the candles are so you can see in the dark while you're applying first aid . You'd be surprised hoe much light a birthday sized candle can make, especially if you put 2 together. Only problem is, you would have to use one of your storm matches to light the candles . That particular SAK is over $15 so Idk how he can make $ off the kit unless he bought bulk in China or it's a reproduction
It’s used but still they are 7 bucks or so on eBay used if you see when I zoomed in on the blade it says victorinox on the blade so it’s not a fake. It’s not a bad little kit and there’s definitely room for improvement
For the first time, I almost immediately understood the purpose of a small kit like this, and what it is not. It's not the kit you rely on as the only thing to survive in the backcountry or a deserted island. But it's almost perfect to supplement the EDC of a prepared mind. You already have your phone, a BIC lighter, a knife, and a flashlight in your EDC, you have your trusted boots and suitable clothing, a space blanket, bottles, some snacks, and other stuff in your car, bag, or office, so you can grab them easily. You can build a shelter from whatever is available. So, what is missing? Water purification, basic first aid, and some backups. SAK scissors and tweezers are great.
That company makes a Bigger kit that comes in a mini paint can to boil water
That’s sweet I’m going to find it and order it up if it seems reasonable! Thanks for letting me know!
Every kit should have a fishing kit inside just in case I'm a Hardcore Survivalist I've been lost for 3 days in the winter and still caught fish only food I could get
That’s an awesome story to here I would like to hear more of it! Jump to my instagram page and tell me the story in the comments of one of the pictures or in here either way I like to hear them! I agree I like to have a fishing kit in my survival kits. Some people are totally against them I guess because where they live or they don’t feel like there’s a use for a single night stay but I would rather have it and not need it!
Upgrade your mic bro
Bro I just started doing this stuff so I’m still getting accustomed to having the camera and whatnot rolling. Give me a year or so to figure this stuff out! Patience brother patience!
Super glue onto cotton can combust. Learned that when I spilled some on a qtip and it started smoking.
That’s awesome I need to try it when I get home from work! Should be pretty cool experiment
Nice kit. Not sure about the salt and pepper. The SAK SD is a great item to have.
Haha I could see the salt for adding electrolytes to your water but the pepper maybe just for flavor to a fish
👍🇲🇾
Thanks
Uh didn't wanna show us how it works? Like how you applied it?
It’s pretty simple you just wrap it in circles 😂 literally
@@whitetailsurvival2430 Does it comes with instruction manual? ;-)
@@Tom_Kowalczuk. just the QR code on the box you scan it with your phone camera and it will show you how to wrap things in a circle 😄 it clings to itself literally i said in the video the recommended wrapping it 4 times for 400lb tensile strength. You literally just wrap it in circles over itself and tuck the tag end in so it’s not flapping all around. It’s extremely simple to use maybe I should make a follow up video on how to wrap it? Simple strap has a video on it also 😂
Just ordered it. Thanks!
No problem at all I use mine all the time it’s great
How much did it cost? I can't figure it out on the web page

@@Semeion7😂
It’ll do .
Yea it works for what it is this video got more views than anything else on the entire channel it’s crazy
The custom engraving option is really cool 😎 i had Olight put a lightning ⚡️ bolt on my Ultra.
Yes that’s awesome I get free engraving because of my tier level I thought about getting my channel logo engraved in one but I’m saving that for a different light 😄
Another good video, nice light but just couldn't justify getting one, did however order a Flex in orange along with a few other things I can't afford 😊 keep up the good work. Peace from Scotland
Thanks for coming back again and watching I appreciate it I honestly wanted to see how the new material is it’s way tougher than the other aluminum I’m impressed. It’s slightly brighter than the pro that I have and it’s way better than the original.
I want to know where to get the light. Other than that I don’t see that as a survival kit. Minimal Fire and Water, no shelter or good signaling. Now in addition to a survival kit it’d be nice. Congrats on 1k and great video
Thanks a lot! Definitely a good addition to edc gear or to a larger pack as a supplement!
Good review! I’m considering buying an Arkfeld pro, which I see it’s very similar to this one… would you say those are more throwers or flooders? I want a flashlight that is good to work indoors, but most of them seem to be throwers to light far away, and I’m still not sure about the Arkfeld series..
It’s actually about the opposite most of their lights are very floody but have the capability to throw out farther in the high modes. This light is very floody but will reach out farther in turbo. I have been carrying a mini baton series light for years and since the arkfeld came out I carry it all the time the pro is basically the same as this so it’s a great option
Thanks for the quick reply and for clarifying my doubt! I’m probably going to get the arkfeld pro then… the ultra looks awesome, but in my local Olight website, there’s an interesting offer for a pack with the pro and an Oclip, which I’ve wanting to have for a long time too.
you won’t regret it the Oclip is so handy I keep one on my edc pack all the time it’s so useful with the clip magnet and both lights it’s awesome! I made a video on the Oclip you should see how far that beacon goes
@@whitetailsurvival2430 I just watched the video you mentioned, and I’m even more impressed with that little light now, haha. The beacon is insane, and the red light very surprising as well, specially for something so easy to carry around at all times.
Does a plastic straw burn?
It will burn a lot but most people think it’s to drink out of but I think it would be hard to drink out of the flat straw
@whitetailsurvival2430 you could pinch one end and blow hard into the other end .. I'd do it a lot and I think it would work
@@frankyturrizo4240I will try it for sure!
Saw a deer gutted with one of those folding plastic handle knives years ago.
It definitely is sharp enough to do that I should try it this year
I didn't realize flashlights could have so many features
Yea Olight is a really good manufacturer and they put out super innovative products!
👍🇲🇾
Thanks again!
I would take that signal mirror and attach it to the inside of the lid. That way, if I have to signal someone quickly (a plane passing overhead, for example), all I have to do is flip the lid open without needing to dig through the kit.
That’s a great idea. Get some 3 m 2 sided tape and hook it right to the lid it would be great
First comment again :p
Haha yea you got this one there’s not as many views on these light and tool videos for some reason but if I’m going to buy it I might as well review it
By the way, some channel merchandising would be awesome, but I imagine it would be difficult to have it shipped to Europe 😅
I never had overseas shipping but I know it can be done but it’s expensive i definitely will make a website shortly and I will put stuff on it with shipping rates for each area!
@@whitetailsurvival2430 I’m looking forward to seeing that website when you can make it. Yes, most probably the cost of shipping so far away will be expensive, but at least I’ll have a look and see if I can get something 😁
@@perepochabsolutely! It’s fun just to build them I’m always open to suggestions also if anyone thinks of anything else that could be added to the master list of the kit they can let me know and I will add it in if it’s popular enough
When I saw the rubber band holding the box I thought it would be a cheap kit, but I actually liked the contents. I think I just missed a small flashlight, as they’re often handy, but for the rest I think it’s quite good for the size and compared to other ones we’ve seen before… and, as always, fun video to watch!
Thank you for coming back and watching I appreciate it 100 percent! I think it is a good thing toss the whole thing in a water bag and add a light and your good to go.
Nice little kit
Thank you I appreciate it! This one you didn’t make first on 🤣

Useful kit, keep up the great work, love the new camera angle. Peace from Scotland P.S. would love some stuff, patches, stickers etc, would support a website and other sales as long as you can post to Scotland.
I would be able to ship there but I’m not sure about the cost of shipping it’s probably going to be high but in the end if people are willing to to help the channel out I would greatly appreciate it. I will definitely link it to the channel when I make it!
@@whitetailsurvival2430 yeah, cool.
Looks like a basic kit to finish out yourself and honestly it's okay, not bad not great either. That tin can hold a lot of stuff if you pack it right and ditch the gimmick items like the tiny button compass or those sachets with medicine. You should always have atleast a mini 1st aid kit with that sort of stuff.
Yea it’s a good base kit and a good last ditch kit sometimes having that one little package of Tylenol is a good thing sometimes to give to other people without having to get into your pack for a first aid kit. Thanks for the comment i appreciate it!
Thanks!
Thank you I appreciate that!
You got a awesome channel, by the way
Thanks I really appreciate that it’s nice to hear that people enjoy the content!
@@whitetailsurvival2430 you are very welcome
I would like to have a patch and a sticker. And that would be awesome. I support your channel
I will post a video about the website when I make it and I would really appreciate the purchases to put back into the channel
I don't quite get the point of the Aqua Tabs without anything to collect water. All in all, it's an interesting kit. But it feels more like an edc/booboo kit. Very few survival items.
Yea I guess it’s marketed as just that SOS SURVIVAL FIRST AID. 😆 they can only fit so much in there. I guess you could toss the whole kit into a water bag before you left
Why add water tabs if there’s nothing to collect or store water?
I thought the same thing I guess on your way out the door maybe you could toss the whole kit into a water bag. If not just hope you find a water bottle or soda can along your journey that some hog left in the woods
I think I would remove the fishing kit. Beef up the first aid part, some tape, a light, and a space blanket. Make it a stand alone booboo kit.
That’s awesome! I like that idea. Having light is a must for me I like to have one because it makes a world of difference than trying to work around a fire!
Is that a used Swiss Army knife? And the other stuff (some free crap) worth maybe 5 or 10 dollars.
Agreed. I know I definitely wouldn't be using the toothpick from a used swiss army knife. It feels like this guy just threw together a bunch of stuff from a junk drawer into a kit.
A used SAK on eBay goes for around 7 dollars I’m not sure if you have tried to price a kit out like this to make for yourself but there’s definitely more than 10 dollars involved. Even building in bulk it’s expensive I have acouple hundred dollars into the kits I’m building and that’s buying bulk.
Yea definitely should swap that toothpick out and clean the tool with alcohol but as for throwing junk together idk if that’s true because it seems like he sells a good few of these kits so the person that makes them must do it all the time.
It ought to go for about 15. But not 25, plus 5 for shipping.
👍🇲🇾
Thank you 😊
Also I have been enjoying the content! Watch all the videos keep up the great work!
Thank you I appreciate that a lot!
Would u be willing to review a kit from a subscriber? I was curious if that's something you would be interested in?
Absolutely! I’ve done 3 subscriber kits! Message me on my instagram with the details!
@@whitetailsurvival2430 right on sounds good
Nice Kit. I personally will take a good fishing kit over say snare wire my snare wire is for gear repair and fishing kit is for food because here in south Carolina there are lakes and ponds everywhere and plus the coast so imo fishing kit is worth having if you are in a state that has water consistently but the desert states I can see not having a fishing kit in a survival kit. Also I'm for the survival kit idea 100% and stickers and patches etc.
That’s great to hear I actually had some patches stickers and cups made so far plus a handful of kits. I live in Pennsylvania so we have plenty of streams lakes and ponds also around so I agree with the fishing kits. It’s nice to have in there just in case it would last more than a night or if you just want to use the stuff in it! I also look at snare wire as gear repair also!
Just bought one. He has them in stock again.
That’s great he sold a good few there was 8 or so on there when I bought that one it’s definitely worth the cost
They should add a nice opinel instead of these multitool wichare unisefulll
Yea they are nice knives I like the opinel knives they are budget friendly and extremely sharp
I don’t have this flashlight model, but I own a few ones from Olight and you can feel the quality as soon as you open the boxes. It’s one of the top flashlights manufacturers right now.
Haha just the quality of the boxes are better than some company’s flashlights
First off, a "Survival Kit" is for when you have to spend an unplanned night in the wilderness. It should be a small kit that is easily carried every time that you travel afield to insure that you always have it with you. If you get "turned around" you likely won't give up on finding your way out until near sundown. It's embarrassing after all if "Joe Outdoors" gets lost. Building a shelter in the waning light is a waste of time for the most part. Building up some insulation (ferns, grass, dead leaves, etc.) to sit on at the base of a gently leaning tree and hunkering down with the mylar blanket wrapped around you until morning is the realistic scenario. Sewing kits, fishing kits, snare wire, etc. are more for a "Bug-Out Bag" than a "Survival Kit". A decent head-lamp, some lifeboat snacks, LifeStraw, etc. would be more appropriate.
Some people use these as a type of edc extension also! Some of the stuff in these kits are multi use and I have actually used fishing kits just for fun to see if I could catch something with the components. That being said I got lost one time in fall archery season and that’s literally what I had to do all night until I found my way out the next morning. I would walk until I was warm but not sweating then lean against a tree and try to close my eyes for a bit then I would get cold and walk acouple hundred more yards and I did that basically the entire night and after the sun came up I was really only a few hundred yards from the road and cell service.
I didn't buy it because I couldn't see what's in it I have 20 years of experience to
What do you think of it with your 20 years of experience? What would you change add or remove?
👍🇲🇾

This is really good for the price ... maybe if there were 2 birthday candles you could get a couple nights worth of light if you used them very sparingly . The survival blanket and cord on the outside is a very good idea ... it still counts as an altoid survival kit because you could get by with just the inside of the tin , if you're able to make natural shelter or weather permitting
Yes your right for sure you could build a shelter with what’s inside no problem. I always used to strap big stuff to the outside of the tin it saves alot of space in the end 😄
