as a side note the amalgamated usage is pretty great, there hasn't been any sinks for amalgated gemstones so they've been going down in price. nice to get a bump back up

It's okay, they just got rid of bull pushing (5min CD,), so that's no longer an option now.

I enjoy WvW and PvP but I get how people can be frustrated with this. My recommendation to you is: Try and get into a public commander's squad when you can. Pop on all the boosters like the candy corn and snowflake gobbler, Guild bartender reward track booster and reward track boosting amulet enrichment from laurel vendor. It will go by quick enough. Just 15 -30 mins per day should be enough not only to get the gift of battle but also work towards getting some skirmish tickets that you can use in the future for legendary rings/backpack etc. It is also possible that while running 15 -20 mins you actually end up finding a WvW group that you actually enjoy the company of! I only liked PvP and hated WvW and only went in wvw to try to progress conflux. Ended up liking a commander and joining a WvW guild and now I have legendary everything but still enjoy playing WvW with my guild from time to time

I kinda mean it if you discard the gold price (I know discarding gold price is a bit stupid lol). But it is the quickest legendary weapon to craft with minimal map comp and most of the mats are easy to come by, if you have been spending some time in the new maps especially. Unlike gen 1 and gen 3 where it feels like a grind, this one doesn't feel like a grind as much.

@@coffeedart_gw2 Gen3 is stupidly easy for the base weapon if you're just after QOL. Sure, you have to map complete four maps instead of two, but almost everything else you should just have laying around by the time you get around to making one. It only gets complex once you toss in the variants and have to start chasing various activities. Here, Klobjarne giving you the variants on unlock is a nice breather.

​@@K44nebuying it from tp is way easier for people who don't like pve. If not enough gold for it, just buy gems. And to buy gems just do some overtime in your rl job, way more efficient.

And if you have played the expansion a decent amount you probably already have a lot of the materials.

No lol, 275 amalgamated gemstones alone makes it harder than gen1 But several components are tradeable including the precursor and spear itself so overall I'd say it's easier than gen 2 to make.

​@coffeedart_gw2 lol you're rage baiting, it is obvious. Gen 2's are not harder than this at all. Theyve been out for years and the materials can be gotten from the majority of the game.

Fractal backpack is such a pain honestly, it's so hard to get a group together to do some of the achievements

@@basvriese1934 Well, it's very long ago since I crafted the fractal backpack but there are very few achievements that could be a problem in my opinion. It's enough to ask a group for help while doing daily fractals. Just choose achievements of fractals that are in daily rotation. Never had a problem ^^

@@lcZahark If i remember correctly, you don't have to do a „regular“ CM like Nightmare or Shattered Observatory. It's just normal fractals with the addition of 80% heal reduction while fighting a boss or something like that.

Maybe for like a month or two. I don't think it would be THAT expensive for a long time.

Grats! Yep luck does play a bit of a role in these. I mentioned in another comment here, but my first Halloween in the game I got 2 ember infusions too and the only ToT bags I opened were from pvp and wvw reward track. Not that many

magic find does not affect opening the bags but magic find does affect how many bags you get while farming in the mad kings lab

It feels that way, but it likely isn't. There is a way to find out though. ArenaNet exists as a subsidiary of NCSoft. NCSoft is based in South Korea where there is an actual patent on the exact thing you're talking about. For them to utilize that patent, paperwork would have to be filed. You can follow the trail if you really want to find out

This is probably not the case. Let’s take BL chests as an example. If you were to open 20 chests and you get one item of decent value like a 50g skin, you’re unlikely to feel lucky, because you’ve invested an amount where you would expect to get at least one rare drop. Even though loot boxes do not operate on a cumulative chance model. However if someone gets one key randomly and opens a single chest, and they get the same 50g skin, they’ll probably feel pretty lucky as the investment they put into that one key would have been far less. This also makes the occurrence memorable, because it’s a rare event and a good story. However, if this same person didn’t get anything of interest from a single chest, they’re less likely to feel disappointed because once again, their investment was low. It’s also much easier to forget a small loss as opposed to a big loss. This is why one off keys seem luckier, because you probably don’t remember the dozens of other one off keys where you didn’t get anything.
