i love Giratina, i'd ask if i may copy your profile art but i'm boycotting NINTENDO and only willing to buy their MK, MP, and Sonic franchises. if i do at all. And i especially love how your doing the shiny version of Giratina.

I think what makes the ToT bags and DCs more beneficial is that they drop a lot the holiday currency (candy corn and zhaitaffy) whereas the wintersday gifts drop way less snowflakes in comparison. This means that there isn’t really a buffer to stop you losing money, as at least with the other bags, you would generally have enough candy to make up for most of your losses, it’s still a loss, but not as severe.

I really need to change that thumbnail lol....Yea those new mats can be annoying .. I do the hearts every day to get those "heart bags" that have those mats in them. Hearts and the Janthir meta give a lot of those new mats

I mean you can farm XP, but It's nowhere close enough to what you get by rift hunting. This festival is good only for karma farm. I know and share your pain of being always low on spirit shards

@ I was just asking because I saw somewhere where they were comparing the Halloween lab farm to this wintersday festival but seems like this festival is not it for SS lol. Anyways you think rift hunting is the best method right now? I usually do TMs and some wvw but I need hundreds of them lol

@@arge12 Yea rift hunting is great for SS ... unfortunately they also get boring quick lol.. WvW is great! I enjoy wvw a lot! I should really do more TMs

@annabellemacdonald candy cane stacks up with peppermint oil but coffee does not stack along with it. Candy cane has its own special buff

@@coffeedart_gw2 I just checked and all 3 stack. candy cane buff does not count as food I guess? its about 200 extra karma for me on gifts.

@@annabellemacdonald yep cane is not counted as food! but you have to use 30 of them for 30 mins of buffs which is annoying xD

@@coffeedart_gw2 Yea I get that but I prefer killing mobs. I don't nail the jump puzzle every time and it gets really annoying having to start over.

@mightymochi6320 yea fair enough.. maybe give the bell choir a go .. once you get the hang of it, it's really simple. Just stand and press buttons. Although, that can get boring quick. The most I have done at a time is 1 hour

There used to be a PVE gold farming event (ca 2013) with mobs of snowmen and Santa's train back when Wintersday was fun, rewarding and worth spending time on. I wish they would ditch this pvp event and bring back the old PVE one and quit punishing players that enjoy PVE content other than the current meta gold farm that the dev's choose...This new Wintersday event is very disappointing for Veteran players that remember how much more rewarding the old was was..

@@DeltatechActual Oh thats interesting to know.. I only started playing 3-4 years ago. While I consider myself a veteran of the game with good command over every aspect from pvp to wvw to instanced and open world, I always wonder how it must have been for the real vets of the game who played through the early game without mounts and experienced living seasons that changed the open world. Now the wintersday stuff that you mentioned as well. Its fascinating to me on some level

It can be good for people not going to the title. Instead of sitting on millions of karma, put it to some use

yea thats the auto-clicker. I accidently had 2 autoclickers on .. If you look closely you'll see 2 icons! One on top and one on right of mouse

Great Question! You are absolutely correct. If you want to convert karma to gold and have limited karma, then you should only buy 20 Wintersday gifts from the vendor (700 and 1050). With that being said, I prefer to buy all because Wintersday is a festival where you can earn a lot of Karma and the game also chucks a lot of karma at you just for playing the game. I also want to gamble opening the gifts, which are valued a lot less than what they go for on the TP (thus its better buying them from vendor) AND they drop snowflakes that I can hoard in the form of gifts for my Snowflake Gobbler which I use every day I play the game for 25% PvP and WvW reward track bonus and kill bonus. So I value the snowflakes and the gifts more than raw liquid gold in that sense. Plus the value of snowflakes and the gifts will rise over the next year until just before the next wintersday. Another thing is that the gifts drop snow diamonds too along with snowflakes which I will need a lot of to buy all the fancy weapon and armour skins before the festival is over!

All of that being said .. Strictly speaking, you are correct and you should only go for 20. You can always buy the snow diamonds and snowflakes and all the other things I mentioned after you get more value out of the karma that you have

The best farm is always the one you can do over and over again without wanting to pull your hairs out imo so in this case both are same-sih and JP is slightly better but if you suck at jumping (like I do) its not the only option.

Correct, but a LOT of players absolutely HATE jumpimg Puzzles and won't do them.
