The question is why eren didn't learn to transfer his consciousness to body

  • @shicaboogala

I don't think Ymir was in control of everything. And here's why: As a victim of abuse myself it makes perfect sense to me why Ymir was "in love" with Fritz. Ymir wanted a family, connection, a husband and children. Fritz gave her all of that and then rewarded her with praise for helping him conquer everything. To a victim of abuse, this is enough to fall "in love". And I use the quotes because she wasn't actually in love. Like all abuse victims, she convinced herself that she was in love in order to avoid the reality of her situation. Without Fritz, she would have had no children, no family and no purpose. At least from her perspective. She could have, at any point, killed Fritz and taken the throne for herself but she didn't because she associated him with the only good things that were in her life. In the end, abuse tricks you into believing that you need your abuser more than anything else and that separating yourself from them will cause you to lose everything you care about. Ymir was not a slave to Fritz, she was a slave to the lie she and all other abuse victims tell themselves out of fear. That's why Mikasa was the one who set her free and not Eren. Eren told her she was wrong but Mikasa proved it. All the choices Eren made was not due to Ymir, its perfectly in his character. The reason why when he looked in the future there was no version where he didn't go with the rumbling, wasn't because of Ymir. It was because the ones where he didn't do the rumbling, or did a limited rumbling, would require him to put his faith in the people of the outside world to make the right choices that would lead to a good outcome. But Eren would never choose that path because as he said during his last message to his friends in the paths, he wasn't going to leave anything to chance. Eren wanted freedom, freedom means control, and he would never give up control of the ending to his potential enemies. Any ending he didn't have 100% control of would be off the table for him. He just wouldn't risk it. I get why you have your perspective on the ending, but I see it completely differently, and I like what I see. Also I literally only just finished watching the ending like and hour ago which is why I'm dumping this here 6 months later. Sorry. Thank you for coming to my TED Talk.

Personally and I know this is a hot take I think Levi is the dumbest thing in AOT, he had a little bit of good character development and then just turned into one of the most smug annoying garbage characters of all time who the author just would not let die for some reason even when he should have obviously died no other character would have survived that worst character if I could remove one character it would probably be Levi.

she shot Eren AND Floch, she is the season MVP as far as I'm concerned you could rewrite any character out of the story moving the pieces like that. I actually like the growth that happened with Sasha's family and Nicolo. And about being anyone who could've taken the shot, it's stated that Gabi is by far the most talented child soldier from the new generation, it makes perfect sense her not only being positioned to take the shots, but also hitting the mark at the crucial moment under pressure. Also Colt wouldn't have turned Eren's head into a football, as Marley wanted to capture him, not kill. Only her would've done the deed. Also being brazen enough to grab an alien grappling hook to go 100 meters above ground without safety and kill Sasha. It's not into Falco personality to do that shit if not for Gabi's sake, and if it was you would be bitching about Falco instead

Just finished watching the show. And I think the ending was perfect. We didn't get sunshine and rainbows, we got reality. There is always going to be a bad guy, scapegoat, and victim. The temporary peace that was obtained was short lived. Eldia got bommed and turned to rubble and that would have happened sooner. If Eren didnt wipe out 80% of humanity. I belive the kid at the end is a reincarnation of Eren. The cycle will repeat. As it repeats irl.

I read the manga ending and thought it was beautiful a few years ago, then I watched the anime ending and I bawled like a baby. It was perfect. There was nothing that could top this for me. AoT is overrated, but it's overrated for a very good reason.

The best part of releasing a manga first then the anime is that you get to see the audience's reaction then can go back and fix the issues.

she has the greatest arc when you rewatch the series all the way through. it's so genius how the entire show switches up on the final season to the marleyan perspective. everything about it makes you dislike these interlopers on the story you've been involved with for years (if youd been watching it since it first aired). it makes you think as the viewer, about your own hatred and disdain. it's meant to make people introspect.

I just wished they made it clear that the armored titan was able to do that, its basically an even better way to protect yourself. But the way to author wrote it was so stupid. It was like when a little kid is playing pretend and just makes up some bs to not lose. "Uh the bomb actually didnt kill me because I put my bwain in my body 👶" Like ?????

A sword through Reiners chest wouldn’t kill him instantly, and with the sword in his neck, he was already get prepared to transform. Reiner knows Levi is dangerous so he was gonna wait until the last second to transform

I'm not going to lie, I'd rather think that Season 4 of Shingeki no kyojin, never ever happened. The ending was so ASS, that it genuinely made me think that watching this series was an utter waste of time. Despite how well written, engaging and epic the first three seasons were, I can't really excuse the Autor for having a stroke at the very end. I don't know about You guys, but I despite with all of my heart stories where the previous events, character arcs, stakes and losses DON'T MATTER by the end, just because somehow, someway, the Cycle of violence, loss or chaos just so happens repeats itself, and in the case of this series, in the most stupid and arbitrary way possible. A lot of people might try to pull a snarky smart-ass comment like "Hey that's just like REAL LIFE, where the same mistakes are repeated over and over again". But honestly fuck that, this is fiction we are talking about, most people don't care if the series takes inspiration from life life events in one way or another, visual media is an escape from reality, period. The story of AOT was always been tragic and dark, but also surprisingly inspiring as well, as our protagonists always overcame the challenges and horrors they faced, always coming out on top, but not without major losses, trauma and scars... All I'm saying is that the series could have ended in much more positive or interesting note. The sad thing here is that Shingeki no kyojin was something special, lightning in a bottle kind of special. And this absolute dog-shit ending just leaves a sour taste, and at least for me personally, ruins the rest of the series, because it was all pointless by the end. Thank You Isayama for snorting 20kg of fentanyl just before ending the series, truly a based and sigma male power-move.

Not only this, but they changed how it all ends. In manga Paradis basically gets flattened immediately because Eren half-assed a genocide and proved that Eldians truly were devils. In anime it's just "war will always be there" without stating what exactly happens and when

Not sure if this is a headcannon or not, but basically a secondary power of the armoured titan is this "conciousness transfer", he survived levi by moving enough of his contious to his torso (which was not damaged severly enough) and survived the thunder spears by transfering it into his entire titan. the being saved by zeke and peike is honestly fair though, it makes sense from a narrative perspective as riener is a comantary on survivers guilt but still. Loved the vid, some things id never really thought about, even as a long term fan <3

Falco killing Sasha would’ve completely changed his character for the worst. Gabi was a great addition to the show and the Sasha plot line was perfect. Also she’s been a trained soldier for years, and one of Marley’s ‘warrior unit’ so she definitely had special training.

  • @GamingWITHsKeLeToR

agreed, the dumbest part obviously being "consciousness transfer". He was hit by Levi before he even knew what happened, sword one would have cut both carotid arteries instantly, also separating his spinal cord and most likely his brainstem. Second sword went directly through the heart and would have severed his spinal cord a second time. I guess since neurons in the brain are electricity and would technically fire at "light speed", this is their argument for how the consciousness would have been faster than the swords? But since Reiner was taken completely off guard, he didn't even have time to make that move, by the time he would have already been dead, or at least not been able to move his consciousness due to a severed brainstem. Without even going this in depth the consciousness transfer was just an all in all stupid unrealistic concept.
