Philippines is the most confused part about their heritage. Some people claim they're not Asian (claimed by east asians) and some claim they're not Pacific Islanders (claimed by Guam, Samoa ect.) We're stuck in the middle.

Filipinos are also Austronesians same as Chamorros. So intermarriage between Chamorros and Filipinos or Indonesians or Malaysians or Indigenous Taiwanese would be like reconnecting with a relative, and not with a totally alien group like with White Americans or Euro Spanish. Also Chamorros intermarriage with other Austronesian people would be like a reunion with a distant family member and promote unity among Austronesians in general. They too were invaded and colonized by Whites. And if people want to restore the original "pure native appearance" than an intermarriage with more "pure native looking" Taiwanese, Indonesians, or Filipinos will help restore the pureblood look in the kids and later generations.
