There are some articles from Pacific Daily News' Michael Lujan Bevacqua about some cases in the *general captaincy* time. Another thing, will you talk about the Chamorus militia in the 1898 war?
Was the Chamoru caste system still in practice during this time? If so, it would be fair to assume that perhaps those not in power or a part of the higher class would willingly help the Spanish out of spite or a desire to be elevated.
If i remember reading correctly. In the mid 16th century The Chamorro's and the Spaniards had at most part, decent relation between each other. It wasn't until the late 17th century that most of the massacre took place. I recall it had something to do with some priest being killed. Does anyone know anything more of what im talking about?
We Spanish brought Jesus Christ to the Marianas while USA brought " Little Boy" Nuclear Bomb to the Marianas...has visto la diferencia? have you notice the difference?..
Okay that’s fine we appreciate some of the things you brought here but here’s the thing…….no one asked your ancestors to come here. Yes you brought a new religion new foods, clothing, and music, but you also brought disease, genocide, death, loss of indigenous culture, and despair. 🤙
@@jasonsan6708 speak for yourself, the Spanish civilized our people with ethics and moral values. But most importantly they brought the gospel which saved many souls in the process.
@@thaphenom9446 “civilized” in the European sense. Yes they brought some stuff but they took away what our ancestors made for us. No matter what they do what they give us we’ll never be them nor would I want to be them
They still talk shit about each other till this day. Mostly people from the North always talk shit about us from Guam but there’s a shitload of them living here now 😂😂

Si Yu'os ma'ase' as always! I do hope this video may start conversations concerning the Spanish arrival!
In spite of the lack of unity and the other reasons fighting the Spainish for 30 years is impressive.

You should stop speaking your colonial English.
Well English would be preferred to reach a wider audience.
