White Rim MTB- The Trip That Almost Wasn't
Got caught up in the story, forgot to thank you for the beautiful trip you allowed us to accompany you on❤
The Sheriff needs to talk to this guy as he gets older he may become more aggressive. I would definitely make a report as it may prevent someone from getting hurt one day. I am all for second amendment even ARs, but not in the hands of people who have been filmed breaking the law.❤Thank God for tbe safety of you and your wonderful wife.
Inspiring. Come and see Mongolian Gobi, guys.
Glad You Both are Safe.
What happens when you run out of money
Your guess is as good as ours😂
My 1967 corvette could drive down that "gravel" road faster, consider a suspension upgrade with softer springs, install shock absorbers and tires not made of concrete.
@@FrancisoDoncona lol I’d pay good money to see your vette try that. I don’t think you understand the scale of the truck and the rocks in the road.
looks real rigid 😂
Nah, we got like 2.75 inches of suspension!
awesome! what was the total size of your door cutout in the rig?
its 39 tall by 42 wide, but I recommend building the tray, mounting the bikes and then measuring.
Beautiful photos. Best of luck on your journey. Life is short. Enjoy it while it lasts.
@@bandit1732 thank you! Yes, life is short!
Me and my brothers saw your rig In wa.
Nice to watch a video that is not mostly footage about making a campfire and cooking...bravo!
@@tewster2 thank you!! We love campfires as much as the next guy, but there’s so much more to life!
If this was by Timberon, i drove on a similar road that cut through a ton of private property. Luckily i didnt come across any macho men, but if it was that road, that would be crazy knowing what i could have seen,. It was a LOOOOOOONG desert road that connected to the 506.
@@minusmartin hmm, not sure it was the same area- sounds like there are a lot of places where public roads cut through private land.
I wish you the very best of luck. We retired three years ago (pensions are wonderful things paid each month) after a lifetime of mixed travel abd work, and are in our Promaster van in South America. There’s a lot to see and you’ll get here. Even if you are young…
@@conchscooter thank you!! That sounds like an amazing adventure, we cannot wait to eventually see South America.
Man, that bioluminescence was amazing and I am not surprised what an affect it had on you! AND, that place in Baja looks unbelievably amazing! I think you definitely did the right thing. Some of my best life memories (at almost 70) are the wild and possibly foolish things I did. There's no way you will look back on these memories as a mistake. Also, love your rig. Looks like a great overland vehicle (as a part time overlander myself). Your drone photography is awesome. You make me want to go to Baja!! Stay safe, be well and happy overlanding to you !
@@Bluebird-wj4nj thank you so much!! We’re so thankful to be able to take time off and travel. If you can get to Baja, we highly recommend it!
As someone that also recently quit my job to fulfill my dream of being “the guy that lives in a van down by the river” Here is to finding your path and enjoying the life we have while we can. Congratulations!
Thanks!! And congrats to you- we get the "van down by the river" shtick all the time😀
You guys are definitely risk takers. But I know the reward is so worth it. Thanks for sharing
Thanks!! We try to take calculated risks, but what would life be without doing scary things from time to time?
OK, great ! But nobody tells us what your income is, from where you survive, hmm . It's coming nice, one camera " quite the job ".
I thought we were clear in the video- the income was from working and saving the last 10 years! We ARE still doing "work" to build this channel, but it takes a long time to actually make real money off youtube. Very thankful for partnerships we've built so far, but we have a long way to go until the revenue we make here even pays our diesel bill🤣
Amazing video!!
Thanks Adam, it was great to meet you the other day!
That's amazing. I know that can be a tough decision, leaving your jobs, but exploring and having fun is what life is about
Thanks! Yes, absolutely! Only so much time- use it wisely! Enjoy your travels!
Amazing, it take so much courage to follow you dreams, huge congrats. In a world full of so much uncertainty the time to live is now.
@@volksman3 Thanks!! Yes, the time is now!
That awesome I just got a yz250 and it had lights and a plate on it when I bought it so now I have a street legal 2 stroke motorcross bike
Sweeet!!!
Me in my brother's were riding bikes in downtown Port angeles near the transit center. We were all flipping out when we saw yall drive by😂
Ahh no way!! We wish we rode while in town there- next time!
Super cool! Congratulations, really great job 🎉👍 tell me please where a you bye fibreglass panels?
What an epic journey! Bringing your house to Baja sounds incredible. We sent you a DM on your Instagram, take a look.
Great work!! Thanks for sharing :)
Thank you! Cheers!
That guy is lucky. Pointing a gun at me would be the last mistake he ever made. Good for you guys for keeping the adventure going.
NM sucks. Im a native new mexican. There alot of weirdos and criminals here. They like to camp out to get away from cops. Police wont do anything. Take report and thats it. They wont chase down people.
Fantastic build. Would you guys be willing to make a video to share the costs associated with the build? Particularly the habitat box and sub frame. Have a blast!
Thank you!! Yes it is on our list of videos to make!!
How much did it cost
We're going to shoot a video breaking down the cost soon!
When you say street legal do you mean a normal plate or an HOV playe
Normal plate. Legal for any road in the state.
Amazing video! Thanks
Thanks!
A friend that is equal weight to yourself 😂
Haha yes!!! Very important 🚛🚚
Lol wish i could do this with my ktm 200
You could in Colorado!
Hi there. how much this garage build cost you?
Hey! We're going to shoot a video on the cost of our build soon!
If I had to guess, Heather grew up on Conway Lake maybe off Stritch Rd.
Dear, thank you very much for charing your experiance with us. I'm in the proces of building a camper on a 4x4, Mitsubishi or Isuzu, not sure yet. I've never met someone who builded himself this torsion free subframe. Is it possible please, to have some more information about this topic? It would help me a lot. Regards. Willy
Hey Willy, thanks for watching! We have a build thread going on Expedition Portal that explains a bit more about the subframe:forum.expeditionportal.com/threads/heather-and-danas-2007-fg140-camper-build.237170/#post-3161654
What a cool build. Congrats 🎉
Thank you!
Is it possible that I saw you guys in person randomly at Sunspot Observatory parking lot a couple months ago? I had a very dirty 4Runner with orange traction boards mounted to the side of the roof and a WeBoost antenna. Was there with my baby daughter. Saw a large Earthroamer type vehicle with a young man and woman. This was while there was still plenty of snow on the ground. It was probably someone else, since I seem to remember their vehicle being a darker shade than yours. Still, curious if it's even possible? Safe travels!
Hey! Sounds like a cool rig you've got yourself. But it probably wasn't us, as we've been in Baja, Mexico for the last couple months!
Haha. Welcome to New Mexico! We all carry guns. Get used to it!!
Carrying guns is fine. But pointing them at me while on a public road is not.
As a Brit I am loving your new found content! Your narration is second to none! Looking forward to more adventures ❤
Aww thanks so much! We're looking forward to them too!
Great adventure. in polish that would be "czas sie zatrzymal" next year I am coming to Bahia sur with my sprinter 4x4 I am building now. Can not wait with fishing report, planning to do fishing there.
Thank you for sharing!!! I knew someone would have it! Now how to figure out how to pronounce it correctly😀So awesome to hear about your build and future plans. You'll love baja
First time on your channel, I am a Baja local and travel the Peninsula as much as I can, just a tip for travelers, avoid the pacific side on the northern part, sadly it's just not safe anymore, I've wild camped south of Ensenada to El Rosario for surf and luckily I've had no issues but it's been getting sketchy. If you do wan't to explore go surf during the day, camp in a dedicated gated spot and go with as many people as possible.
Fair tip- there unfortunately are parts of every country that are best to avoid, or at least be cautious of. Local knowledge is critical for keeping safe.
Amazing first episode 😊 I do love how English speakers pronounce Baja, sounds fancy ❤
Thank you!! Ha, we try to pronounce things correctly, but we know our Spanish needs work!
Love this!!
Thanks james!
You don’t need to talk you
From someone who has never been to Baja, this video inspires me to go. Thankyou for your generosity on the guide and video. Looking forward to the next one!! Ps do have any fishing tips from your experience?
This comment makes the entire video worth creating. Thank you. Yes, we certainly have some fishing recommendations- our final video will have some footage from a panga trip we took out of La Ventana- 100% worth it, and we still have half of our freezer full of fish! We did post a few pics of this on our instagram! Getting out on a boat is the best advice- whether it's just a paddle board, or you rent a charter boat, almost all of our luck was when out in the water, vs going from shore.
Great video 👍🏼
Thank you!
Beautiful.
Thank you!!
yup , really cool place , spent almost 2 months exploring . we had a blast also . thanks for sharing ~peace~
It's such a special area. Thanks for watching!
Thank you for sharing your journey with us. My rig will be ready in late September and Baja is high up on my list for next Winter. 🙂
Thanks for watching! It’s worth a spot on your list for sure! So much to explore.
Is this the first video? Trying to find the first one so I can see all of them…
This is the only video we have for the southeastern US, but have plenty more videos on our channel with other spots. Just released our first of 4 videos from Mexico today!
