I wish I could use these but I fear they would hit the windshield or fairing on my cruiser at full lock.
At full lock they touch my tank.
@GBeWinginIt considering that they bend and flex my concern may be without merit.
thank you for the response , it was helpful
Any time!
Time to put on those Hippo Hands.
thanks for the review , please what kind of windshield is that ? and do you recommend it for a long ride day ?
Puig and it provides some sound protection at sustained highway speeds. So yes I would recommend it, especially if you don’t have a long torso.
I just bought a 2018 DCT Honda with 3800 miles for a great price DCT because of your videos: I love the DCT (still kieeping my Victory Cross Country).
Awesome. Give it time, the more you know and adapt the better it gets.
Have fun!
My 202 miled 2023 R1250 GS Demo was not quite the complete package, until I added a BMW Nav VI, Clearwater Darla's and Billie Brake light, Touratec Stainless Steel 4 point cylinder head guards, and a year end sale on BMW Vario Side Bags, with locks for $900 additional out the door. 5.2 gallons is enough for most anything I do. 550 # for a touring bike as nice as the BMW is nice. For bigger day rides, I sold the Sport Glide and picked up a BMW 1250 RT. An absolutely beautiful Sport Touring bike.
You’ve got great taste in motorcycles.
Waiting on mine to get delivered. Thanks for the ride along!!!
@@TimDevlin-z2f Best wishes on your new motorcycle journey.
7.5 beats the 5.5 we deal with in the GW!
That would be 7.9 gallons. No complaints here.
Words from the man, the myth & legend. A reminder of all things wonderful about two wheeled travel. A beautiful moment in time captured here for posterity purposes. So that future generations will also learn & benefit from this magic.
Motorcycles are indeed food for the soul.
Show full front and backsides of yourself in the leather jacket and Levi’s or motorcycle gear at the gas pump☹️☹️☹️
Gotta give credits to the Dyna guy for taking it head on without a shield…
He was rolling for sure.
I love all motorcycles no matter the manufacturer or the style. Every time I throw my leg over a motorcycle it’s a new adventure and has become such a large part of my life. Keep up the great videos ride safe. 😊
That's a great way to live. Ride forever.
Let’s goooo!!!
This bike is so good I don’t want to Vlog aboard it. I just want to ride.
@@GBeWinginIt I heard that!
I play with HD’s on my ST1300. They typically have no chance on the acceleration if they are stock.
Boy do they sound good! Hell of a trade off for performance though.
@@GBeWinginIt It’s a matter of opinion. I get tired of loud pipes. Use to have a cruiser and they get old. Nice bikes, don’t get me wrong, but on distance work it starts to become a scratch that won’t go away. It just adds to the exhaustion. On short runs, they are fun.
Upgraded to a Sargent seat and miles better for me. The stock seat was too much like sitting on a log. Also my Bike is the most beautiful… get outta here with that not the most beautiful talk!!!!
I run a Sargent as well the order there seasons. They make a great saddle. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so says the not so attractive 😂😂
My wife can drive it and thats the only reason for the purchase
@@TimeAttack2003 glad she’s enjoying two wheeled travel.
The two wheel motorcycle is so antiquated. I will absolutely spend my money on a dct goldwing
@@TimeAttack2003 it’s sublime.
Why is you DCT people have to always challenge people still wanting a manual and call us them same age person call us like some kind of dinosaur who can't take change Just because something changes and becomes a new technology and new things around doesn't make it better or doesn't make it more importantly what suits your taste and what you want and you like I've written at the DCT I'm impressed in a sense it was cool but I hate how it feels and I hate how it sounds and I love being able to blip throttle and have fun and play and slip clutches and do different things with a manual Just like my Corvette I love my stick shift Corvette the c8 went to an automatic DCT I will never ever buy that car and I have zero interest in it it might as well be a Malibu or something or a just some regular sedan it's boring so enjoy your DCT and ignore the manual people cuz we're not thinking about you
That’s a fair assessment. For the record I’m back on a manual ands loving it. I enjoyed my time on a DCT and would consider another down the road. Thanks for watching and commenting.
That seat cover does in fact look nice! With it being Mesh that just adds to the comfort in so many other ways. My stand out "low Cost" accessory with Function has to be my Mini drop Floorboards on my F6b. Wow! is all that I can say about them. Thanks "G" Keep living and Enjoying Life!
I totally agree! There’s nothing quite like getting one’s seating setup just right.
I thought all GS' were uncomfortable as standard. Most GS riders are always standing when they ride.......
😂 standing in line at Starbucks 😂 😂
Thanks for the review! You convinced me to get those over the Brooks cases!
Thanks for watching and commenting.
Goldwing is the bike I went back to after having a HD and an Indian.. wing hands down
Smooth as silk.
That jacket makes you look like Anthony Richardson
😂😂. It’s lightweight and offers protection.
Thank you for the review. Happy to hear you are enjoying the benefits of the cover. :)
I love it!
why do you look younger in every video?
😂 I’m four months shy of my 61st birthday. Believe me I’ve got the aches and pains😂😂😂
Get out the left lane if you're not passing, are you not aware of all the cars zooming around your old ass?
Will do. thanks for watching and commenting.
Hi Everybody - I've been using the exact same Mesh-Seat Cover for almost 3 years now. Got it at the end of 2021. And Yes, I can confirm that it really performs way better than expected. Being from South Africa where our Temperatures also varies from lows to extremely hot. This particular item was one of the best add-ons one can buy. Allowing a breeze of air to flow through continuously. Not that I only ride GS Adv, but also it made an unbelievable difference on the KTM 1290 Adventure whereas the one cylinder head is smack under your butt, although they do have some Heat Insulation under the seat, as soon as you wait at an intersection, one can feel the heat working its way through, but not with the mesh cover.....
Thanks for sharing your experience.
super pointless. Just get sheep skin. always better option.
Aesthetically inferior depending on taste.
Interesting observation my friend. I have a wind rider as well on my GSA. It’s covering my Sargent seat currently (I reached out to them for fitment recommendations, same size as for the stock bmw seat). I also found the wind rider provides good air flow and reduces the sweating somewhat (living in SC you’re gonna sweat if you ride in the summer no matter what). Unlike you, I can’t wait for cooler weather and remove the wind rider . The benefit of additional cooling for the warmer months is undeniable so I am putting up with it, but I truthfully can’t wait to remove it. For longer rides, I find it annoying and uncomfortable. Of course it goes without mention, the Sargent seat for this motorcycle is amazing. For anyone out there on the fence…place the order immediately, you will absolutely love it as I believe the author of this video does as well.
I have a Sargent saddle as well that it will go on uncovered when the temps drop. I took a shot and ordered it for the Sargent, and it fit well, however i felt it was better suited for the stocker. Nice to have choices.
I used the same product but different brand on my RT and was very happy with it. No more sweaty butt and now have the same cover on my GS.
Ain't it nice to find something that works.
Not bad, my interest is peaked... I may have to check this out.
Who knows, maybe you can score one for your birthday next Thursday. 🤣🤣🤣
I’m fairly new to your channel, but have to say it’s one of my best I have SUBED to! You have reviewed some really nice stuff I am gonna purchase, this being one of them. So thanks for having an awesome channel! Kyle
Appreciate the kind words. More to come.
LOL, I love it! I've put one on my Christmas list :D Besides a cooler ride, did it add any longer-ride comfort?
yup! It's like getting a slightly taller and wider saddle. Additional leg room, no complaints here.
@@GBeWinginIt Ooh, could be a problem for me... I'm "vertically challenged". Might try it anyway - the swamp-ness is real in the summer.
I didn't have this brand, but I did rock something similar on the Africa Twin before I sold it. You are right, G. It's definitely a lot of bang for the buck. I loved that it allowed for better cooling when riding in hot weather. It's hard to beat the look it gives most bikes, as you said. I did have to stretch the fabric, and I used a staple gun, but it was still a small price to pay for the look and feel.
I liked the way it provided more surface area and distributed the weight. I swap back and forth with my Sargent saddle. Looks good too.
House music all night long sound factory nycccc
And you know that!
That Goldwing looks smooth as silk
It’s like glass out there on the road.
@@GBeWinginIt I would love to have that new Goldwing but can’t afford it last time I owned a bike was 1989 and last road was good old 2000 Next week I’m getting a 2014 Honda CTX 1300 getting it kinda cheap .
@@RobertDavis1970That’s a nice ride. Unique to say the least. V4 powered.
I think that BMW and Honda make the Best Boxer style Engines Ever! Milo is a Handsome Feller and of course you have seen my 8 month old "Cookie" She is Spoiled beyond belief! And the "Jump off"! Okay "G"
I must say that Honda's flat six boxer I rode on the Goldwing is smoother than BMW's by far. That might be a compromise of sorts in that BMW's power plant is more DYNAMIC. Both incredible engines.
i love watching your channel
I appreciate you coming along for the ride.
Great review!
Thanks for watching and commenting.
German Shepherd and stock windshield on my GSA. Just got back from a 4 day ride to the Dragon etc - 400 mile ride to get there, 2 days of 275 miles of mountain roads, and 400 miles back home. Except for the brick of a seat, it's a great touring bike with performance. I get a kick out of you posting links to your YT on the Goldwing FB groups and some of their comments - you're not going to get any love out of those guys. They're too busy trying to convince the world (and really, themselves) that they bought the best touring bike and nothing else is capable 😂😂😂
😂😂 I chuckle when post there as well especially since I was one of those blinded by the “ALL THINGS GOLDWING” mentality. 😂😂😂
@@GBeWinginIt I had one too - Tour DCT. It’s a great bike, but it’s not the only bike. But they will all tell you how they left HD, BMW, Indian etc and now nothing else compares 😂. Until they get the ‘five snowflakes of death’ 😂😂 Even then, it’s still the best!! Keep stirring the pot and posting your links there!
One thing that made me trade my 2022 DCT Goldwing for a 2024 Option 719 Tramuntana was the Honda's terrible suspension. This BMW bike is phenomenal! I love it!
It’s amazing what you get straight from the factory.
GBW good video as usual. I run stock windshield although I did add to it. Only issue I have with my GSA is that the new one is out. So I'm hoping to grab a new left over 2024 GSA next year on the cheap
That’s the way to go, patience and snag a deal if you can.
New SUB here, I have the same bike and love it! What jacket are you wearing? Looks pretty sweet!
Thanks for coming on board. I linked my recorded and thoughts on the jacket below. ua-cam.com/video/aVrdo0LBNVk/v-deo.htmlsi=-6P9CZdPYlAqzRep
@@GBeWinginItthank you sir!
I have the R 1300 GS Tramuntana and I know what you mean GBW!
Thanks fire watching and commenting.
An acquired taste, you say? It sounds good to me!
I can certainly understand how another motorcyclist could dislike the boxer motor. The feel as compared to an inline bike, the sound, the protruding cylinders , etc.
@@GBeWinginIt Yeah, I'm actually not a fan of how far the engine sticks out on both sides... but I've never ridden one, so I reserve judgement for then :D
I like it! Maybe some day…..
It’s a sweet ride for sure.
I’m curious did you consider the r1250rt??
This is a great, timely video. Just got back yesterday from an 8.5 hour over 2 day ride from Dallas around Houston and back on my KTM 1290 super adventure S and I am hurting!… made me think to consider a new goldwing. I had the previous model to ride two-up and hated it! It was so heavy. But the new lighter DCT ones sound interesting. I need comfort… I have owned a 1200 GSA and 1250 GSA and 1200 RT… question for you: after the goldwing DCT, did you consider an africa twin DCT? My body is messed up from the military. In my mind the GSA was ok comfort, RT a lot better. I hear the africa twin is not as great comfort as GSA. But to your point, I like ADVs. thanks for your thoughts!
I strongly considered the ATAS DCT AND THEN MADE THE VIDEO BELOW. ua-cam.com/video/yfqoVFVII_k/v-deo.htmlsi=lHvdFZVYwKUmyPaH
@@GBeWinginIt thanks for the response and the video. Interesting that with the additions to the ATAS, it would still be about $6k less cost than the GSA. I do see the value in the tank, shaft drive, and comfort package.
@@dpinedoblog Absolutely! It's a premium riding experience and while the shaft drive, tank and overall comfort trump the ATAS by a long shot, it's the cleaner controls and TFT interface that puts it way over the top for me. The stock suspension alone covers the difference and if you consider the long haul, two up power difference well it's in a different league.
I liked the goldwing until i rode one at low speed. It may be a good touring bike but no comparison to an HD soft tail at low speed. To be fair, that was an old dyna no windshield. Had that been a new Road Glide, you wouldn't have went by him like that.
You are correct. Not unlike yourself I love them all. All bikes are good. Turns out I see this motorcyclist regularly and have formed an on road bond of sorts.
