I have seen every episode they ever made (I think). I miss them so. Their episodes were/are (even now in re-runs) absolutely riveting. LOVE watching them cook. Turned my children and grandchildren on to them so their escapades will live on. There’s been NO ONE like them before or since. They’re the originals!! Miss them but their videos NEVER get old. 🥰 🇦🇽 (Is that the amberjack?)

I can't even count how many times I have watched all of their shows over the years. Periodically I look them up and watch them all over again! I certainly have the theme song memorized!

I was visiting the UK when the first episode aired just before I left. It was some time before the show was aired in Australia and I could continue watching the two ladies. Still really entertaining today - somehow posh but ordinary though with tales of extraordinary lives. Quite complex !!

This was my favorite show as an older teen. I was very poor, working at night as a CNA and college in the day. These ladies soothed me in the naps in between. Inspired me to drop college and go into culinary. ❤Bless PBS

Been watching these episodes since Christmas with the flu, given so much nostalgia joy. My daughter asks me to repeat the outrageous noises and funny songs, esp the moment they smell the cooking with that lions roar of pleasure! Ha! It would be amazing to have these two at a dinner party. Love the frank enuendos. Lets keep humor and comedy going and not be afraid to upset the emotions of those that get offended whod create a very bland life.

I’m from Brazil and I’ve grew up with two fat ladies. Part of my cooking was from Ms Paterson… she taught me that I can cook with my confused mind and never to take anything too serious. She also taught me the importance of “anchovies”… I don’t have it here but I’ve always put a hint hondashi in every meat plate… makes way tastier! Today I’ve made a focaccia… in her honor

Incidentally, I went to Ireland during the summer and saw Kylemore. It's a castle now which is open to the public while the nuns have a new abbey on site, I believe it has since been finished and opened. Definitely a place to visit. So it was very strange to see it back when the nuns occupied it. Miss these ladies, I remember watching this as a child who wouldn't understand why her mother laughed at certain parts. Now in my 30s, I have a very fond chuckle.

Corn tortillas on a hot cast iron griddle (dry, NO OIL) Once warmed they puff up. Much better.
