She was quite correct & way ahead of her time! Little did she know how RIGHT she would be that in the coming years, the UK’s inescapable tie to the EU wouldn’t be humorous at all.
Its more efficient than the awkward American manner of constantly switching knife and fork. It not just the Brits that have these table manners is Europe on a whole. Besides it is the only efficient way to get peas on your fork.
My friend and I LOVE this show but one time i couldnt remember the name of it so I called it Two Bitches in the Kitchen and now that is what we lovingly call it every time.
Oh I used to watch these ladies years ago what year was this it doesn't say when are they still doing this are they still around hopefully still doing what they do best. Pretty funny ladies too, but they definitely enjoyed what they were doing
In NZ we call chard 'silverbeet'. Because it grows so easily, it's a great staple for vege-deprived students! And 'Beef Wellington' has no connection whatsoever to our capital city. Quite how it got its name remains a mystery.
Same Here in Australia we call it silverbeet. It is generally agreed that the dish was created in celebration of the first Duke of Wellington, Arthur Wellesley, and his victory at the Battle of Waterloo on June 18 1815. The Duke was given his title after defeating Napoleon Bonaparte the year before, and not long after he became Prime Minister.
With Julia Child, they are the best. Julia stayed lean and fit, with everything in moderation (except sex?) but both fat ladies, probably exaggerated in everything (except sex?) anyway, the 3 of them are the best.
OMDios!!! I absolutely love all the ingredients these, lovely wonderful women offer us!! I only can wish and dream that I moved to the UK, and areas there... Instead of bland (Yucky) Costa Rica!!!
I wonder why Clarissa quit being a barrister/lawyer? I heard her mention hangovers so did she used to drink a lot? Some of the food with anchovy pate or ugly fishy smelling food I would not eat. Still like to watch and the banter between them while cooking or out on a walkabout in the towns.
