What lovely phrasing you’ve used ❤ The wonderful ladies certainly provide a comforting way to pass half an hour; I’ve been watching them for many years and always come back to find them when I need a nostalgic hug to keep me going. I hope you’re doing well 😊
Them, and stuff like this, are by far to me the most effective way to deal with that. I believe it's because they remind us of older women in our families ❤
These ladies are such a riot ! They are very posh with a wicked sense of humour! Their colourful and descriptive speech is so entertaining. It’s a bygone era, I’m afraid .
I loved these 2 funny ladies, great cooks and always felt happy watching them. The sad truth of Clarissa's father who used to beat her and make her eat carrots with worms on them!! I'm currently reading her book 'Spilling the Beans'. Makes me sad to think this beautiful lady had a cruel parent. Rest in peace.
To be fair, her father has been dead a long time, as has Clarissa. Maybe we should just leave our well wishes, and refrain from extrapolating on what may have been done, as no one is around to defend themselves.
@@1888starz Absolutely, I’m not saying you have no right to comment, only that you should reserve judgement, as nobody involved is alive to defend themselves. Her claims of being forced to “eat worms” have been called into question by relatives, so maybe we shouldn’t refer to them as “truths”.
The rabbit dish sounds very nice & I'm sure it could be reproduced using chicken. I don't have rabbit readily available, but if I did, I would use it. I think it'd be a nice dinner party main.
I love this show and have watched many of them now, and only just realized that the beginning song is actually Clarissa and Jennifer singing! Extra love it now!
I love them and I know it’s not supposed to be realistic but it’s funny the amount of food they cook. Usually enough for 4-6 hungry people when they always have a dozen mouths to feed.
I wish i could share my limerick with them as WE Cook! “ As Trishan was mixing Rose Madder, His Model reclined on a ladder... Her position,to Trishan suggested coition..... So, he climbed up the ladder and Had Er!” 😆🤣
You look at vegans starving & starving their children & pets & vegans destroying their digestive systems & quitting veganism at a rate of 80% & they're right. But morbid obesity from eating processed CRAP & "fat acceptance" because of PC culture is no better. These 2 ladies were older & simply over indulged.
@@grannyearth5496Agreed! It was the worst lie ever sold. Most people thought low fat/fat free meant you had free reign on every food. They rarely mentioned daily calorie intake.
"One of the advantages of being as heavy as I am; is if you put your weight into it... It doesn't take very long..." Well for those of us that are not as big as Clarissa... I guess we'd need to find a bigger person to do this for us... Love these two ladies..
A geographic correction - Asturias is in the north of Spain rather than the center. Madrid is indeed in the center of Spain, though it is surrounded by the region of Castile.

Veganism & morbid obesity are 2 "accepted" politically correct ways of life that are BOTH unhealthy. These ladies ate a LOT more healthy than either of today's PC accepted extremes. They simply overindulged.
I raise meat rabbits and always have plenty in the freezer. I should give this a try... I love rabbit pot pie and chicken fried rabbit, rabbit curry, rabbit stew, rabbit salad, and rabbit au vin. But I'll always try a new recipe.

Thank you for posting these shows. My partner and I used to watch these religiously. He passed 15 years ago and this reminds me of my love. RIP Bill.
😢🤗❤️✨
December 2023 and still vibing with these ladies! I love everything about the show, including the intro song that Jennifer and Clarissa sing.
I live in a nursing home in Texas. Watching these shows gives me a place to live in my mind.

These ladies are a large dose of Very Good Medicine!
Perfect antidote for depression.
Quite true.
Them, and stuff like this, are by far to me the most effective way to deal with that. I believe it's because they remind us of older women in our families ❤
I watched this, seems like years ago. Anyway for some reason it makes me feel comfortable. Their voices I think. Love it
Same. Love their accents. Especially the one with the black glasses.
This show is my #1 anxiety relief show. It's so comforting.
It's the old England that no longer exists.
I always have loved these two . Not only for their culinary knowledge but also for their character!❤️🇨🇦
Clarissa's best throwaway one-liner at 22:09 "Oh that'll be nice, sure they like a good tart"
Bagahaha
These ladies are such a riot ! They are very posh with a wicked sense of humour! Their colourful and descriptive speech is so entertaining. It’s a bygone era, I’m afraid .
Just love these 2 "gals" .....so honest and unassuming and full of life...and of course their marvellous cooking...❤❤❤
Another perfect sunday. Eight episodes watching these two lovely plump girls.
I’ve made that pie a few times following Jennifer’s recipe. Quite lovely actually. Easy to make too.
I love the way they cook. The old way. Full fat, full flavor, big pinch or 1/2 teaspoon. But to YOUR TASTE. ❤️
NOSTRILS HEAVENWARD
CRAZED WITH LUST
Jennifer was such an amazing character 😂
I remember seeing this episode as a kid and still love it and watching with my grandma
Such a pleasure. I wear my headphones, not to miss a single quick joke, perhaps a little risqué.
I love the way Clarrissa always joked about her weight, the world is certainly a lesser place without them
Indeed
For me, they are always with us
Namaste.
They’re definitely missed. ❤️
22:09 - I'm sure they'd love a good tart... Just for fun.
22:35 - You go round and have a glass of sherry and try everybody's sausages.
A good tart can indeed be quite fun!
Clarissa was the queen of double entendres! She was hilariously naughty!
Only the tarts try all the sausages.
I like the old boy keeping the bees. Very calming voice.
These wonderful ladies are keeping all of heaven entertained for sure.
"I'm sure they like a good tart". Dead! xD I love these ladies
I was just going to add the same thing, and I saw your comment right on top! I love when brilliant minds come together...hahaha
Who doesn't enjoy a good tart? LOL
I love revisiting the ladies -- great basic techniques, that, with a well-stocked pantry, can lend to any dish. I have learned a lot from them.
Every single word, coming from Her mouth, is a pure gold to me. What a person indeed.
'I sits among the cabbages and peas' was performed by Marie Lloyd (1870 - 1922)
Crrrrrrazed with lust..... Jennifer is amazing. They both are!
"Lovely legs..keep your legs together"! Love it Clarissa.
This was a goodie episode that I had never seen.
These recipes would be a nice change for a boxing day lunch
These women are so classy and REAL ❤❤❤
One of the only episode dear old Jennifer didn't use anchovies in everything!
Jennifer finds the beauty in everything it seemed.
love each episode and enjoy watching them again, and again :D
That honey and cheese tart looked good.
Jennifer’s face when the beekeeper says the honey is still in the hive! 😂 12:40
Clarrissa was all about these young men. I would be too. 12:41 - That look on her face is priceless.
I lost it at 3:38 when Clarissa goes kung-fu style with the knife.
And how she was joking about her weight!
Mesmerized by their charms.
Gratitude always.
that ham hock was fabulous
So freakin' adorable!
Bees are so clever, and honey is gorgeous.
Is bee honey vomit or poop?
I guess I'm not the first to ask.
What a fantastic show…thank you
"I think it's delicious! Very fond of bunny." Love these two ladies...
A fruit tart for the boys..... I love how Jennifer missed Clarissa's joke when she said: "Yes, I'm sure they like a good tart".
Clarissa drops quite a few naughty innuendos which go completely over Jennifer’s head ! Lol !
The peas and lettuce are green. It’s a French way of cooking peas.
"The Fluffy Bunny Brigade....ewwww" omg these women are my Goddesses.
Love the way Jennifer says “vegetarians,” as though they smell bad. Also, who knew rabbit meat was white? It doesn’t look half bad. 🐰🍽
It may be farm raised. Having had both that and wild, wild usually is much darker. Farm is typically quite mild
Rabbit meat is generally white. Meat from a hare is darker.
They DO. Gaseous constantly.
I don’t think she was into protein and plants?
Rabbit is wonderful.

Her sister (and other relatives) said it was all lies and she was a fantasist. I'm not convinced...something must have made her turn to drink.
I just finished her book- her father was terrible to Clarissa and her mom. No wonder she wanted to poison him with mushrooms when she was a child!
To be fair, her father has been dead a long time, as has Clarissa. Maybe we should just leave our well wishes, and refrain from extrapolating on what may have been done, as no one is around to defend themselves.

Loved the show so funny and relaxing
love these ladies
12:41 The look on Jennifer's face 'Did you hear that Clarissa it's still in the hive!!! STILL IN THE HIVE??'
I would invite them to a dinner party...have so much to contribute to conversation ...

Love the way Clarissa can barely bring herself to say 'fat free'; as though it's the worst thing in the world.
Fat free and sugar free started Obesity... Good fats and natural sugars help to lose weight.

Would you believe those guys would have to be in their 40’s (or late 30’s) now if they were early 20’s then. God time has flown.

I think Clarissa would have made a competent coach but also a terrifying one
Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee…😂😂😂 sent me back 40 years and giggling for a good 10 minutes
the ladies can keep their young lads, that beekeeper with the silver hair and glasses was such a daddy 😏
Old joke, but 20 goes into 80 a helluva lot more than 80 goes into 20.
I don't care what people say, fat people have a beautiful personality, and are happy. and they can dam well Cook. love them both.

Actually you can. ;)
Lenny Pearl go shoot one?
I wonder if the filling for that tart could be used to make a cheesecake.

handsome boys :)
Easy there, Christopher.

I had a little of crush on them actually
