There was a lot that was cut sadly due to it being a movie, largely the scouring of the Shire where Saruman managed to escape and ransacked the Shire, but the hobbits managed to drive him away and take back their homes, and a long epilogue about the fate of everyone after the war. It still a great ending to a long journey.

Also, when the ring is in the lava, until Frodo decides to go for Sams hand, (and let go of the ring fully) the ring melted

The wound from the blade was never going to heal and he would slowly succumb. Elven magic in the undying lands was his only hope.

At the point Gollum is strangling Frodo and Frodo tells him: Smeagol swore on the precious, Smeagol is long gone.. Since faramir treated gollum so badly, gollum completely took over Smeagol. Frodo almsot made him go back.. It failed.. Gollum is the one that said "Smeagol lied" (Fun fact, Look at the pupils, in two towers when smeagol has the intern conversation with gollum, everytime smeagol talks his pupils are wide, when gollum talks they are tiny. They are tiny this time, Smeagol "died" at the forbidden pool, basically...

I love the detail that the ring does not melt until Frodo decides to live and takes Sam's hand

I am always on the verge of tears for these entire movies - everyone is so pure heroic and noble-hearted. It is such, such a beautiful story :')

You were right the first time. There are only 3 Indiana Jones movies.

Two things, trivia about the ending: The Undying Lands are the motherlands of the Elves. The Elves' mission in Middle Earth was to destroy Sauron, the last bastion of evil in the world. Since that's done, they leave to go back home. Noone but Elves and Istari (what Gandalf is, a low ish lvl angel) are allowed there. But there are some exceptions: Frodo and Bilbo were ringbearers. So they got to go. Sam also left to go there, considering he was a Ringbearer briefly, after Rosie passed due to long age. And finally, Legolas took Gimli with him, the only ever Dwarf to go there.

I was watching the news today and they have an auction going on from things that were used in movies. For instance : ET - The Bike They Used In ET - The Ark Of The Covenant from Raiders Of The Lost Ark - The Dance Floor From " Saturday Night Fever ". Just to name a of many.

The thing about smeagol is, that he was a sneaky little weirdo before he got the ring. When he then got the ring, he used it to spy after his people and stuff so his grandmother (the matriarch of the family) banished him. That’s when he went into the misty mountains

Obligatory „faramir was better in the books“ comment: in the books faramir let‘s them go as soon as he learns about the ring, he gives them what they need and let’s them go, even though he knows his father would never forgive him, because he was the wiser one between him snd boromir

If Faramir had been sent to Rivendell instead, Boromir would be alive. Faramir is like Aragorn, the ring doesn’t tempt him.

Only in the "Undying Lands" of Valinor can Bilbo and Frodo be fully healed from the wounds inflicted on them by the ring. As well as Frodo's stab wound from the Witch-King. In the future, Sam, who also briefly bore the ring, will also go to the "Undying Realm", when he gets old. 😎🇺🇸

It's nice you didn't look at Boromir as a villain. It's easy to jump to that conclusion, but there's more to the man than a few moments of weakness and temptation, as we learn in the later movies - and in particular, after having met his father... (Not spoiling anything; 20 years old movies, and you watched them all already... :D) I greatly enjoy your intelligent, open-minded and insightful takes on things, thanks for that. :) Subscribed to the channel too.
