The amount of callbacks, Easter eggs, cameos, and meta jokes in this is almost unreal. Like the shop that Deadpool and Wolverine get thrown into when Cassandra snaps her fingers, the shop is called "Liefeld's Just Feet." Rob Liefeld is the artist that created Deadpool, and he's known for drawing feet terribly. Then there's the "Stanlee Steamer 1922" ad placed on the side of the bus when they fight the Deadpool alternates which is a nod to Stan Lee, born in 1922. This film gave all of us fans pretty much everything we could have wanted. The fight scenes, the rapid fire jokes, seeing the Fox era heroes get their justice, and a couple of scenes that genuinely made me cry, this film was nothing short of incredible.
Bye Bye Bye is callback to X2 , when Wolverine, Rogue, Iceman and Pyro were getting away from the X-Mansion, Pyro turned on the car radio and Bye Bye Bye played.
It really did hit so much harder than I was expecting. I grew up watching those movies, but I really wasn’t expecting such a large wave of nostalgia that hit me.

I loved this movie. It made me feel cool for being a fan of those pre-Disney Marvel movies. I grew up with those movies. Should I have seen Blade when I was 15yo? No, but I sure as hell have fond memories of sneaking into a theater to watch it with my homies. And this movie just hit me in all the nostalgic holes.

I think you missed the reference to the movie The Wrath of Khan when Deadpool quotes Spock. Not everyone gets the joke on Dwayne Johnson when Deadpool says that "the hierarchy of power has changed" (or something like that, I'm paraphrasing), which was something Dwayne Johnson tweeted to promote Black Adam.

I wish Wolverine had been more tempted to stay in the void. In his world he is shamed and reviled. He says himself, he has nothing to return to, now that he knows Wade was lying about the TVA fixing things. That moment where Cassandra silences the screams in his head is an incredibly powerful moment. That’s the first time it’s been quiet in his head for AGES. That sigh of relief wasn’t false. I just think if he’d been seriously tempted to be selfish but chose to give up his peace for the betterment of others, it would’ve been really powerful.
I still think there is going to be a re-introduction of Blade into the official MCU. Unfortunately I don't think it's going to be Mahershala Ali. I think it's going to be Wesley Snipes. Which leaves me very divided. Because I really want this for Wesley Snipes. I feel like he is trying hard to rebuild bridges with other Actors, Producers and Directors and I think that's great. At the same time I feel bad for Mahershala Ali if his reboot of Blade doesn't end up happening. Not only was it a role that would of really catapulted his career, but he has also lost a lot of dedicated time and effort if this doesn't end up happening, which he could of been working harder on trying to get other roles that were available over the past few years.

On the subject of who will potentially, inevitably play a new version of Wolverine: Daniel Radcliffe. Here's hoping that will happen!

This movie hits all that much harder for those of us who grew up on the Fox Marvel movies. This was a beautiful send off to that era.

My question is: Deadpool's katanas are Adamantium, are Elektra's sais, also? I would have thought that her sai would have be cut by the katana.
Adamantium is stronger than standard steel but that doesn't mean it's going to cut through other stuff easier, just that it can't be cut.

@Parallax-3D - *_ALL_* live-action counts when discussing the literal fictional multiverse. That's why they brought up 5 Punishers. Nobody is discluding Lou Ferigno's Hulk. That's why an actor & character who's movie _never even made it into production_ got such a prominent role.
dont worry about watching the new MCU movies. they are all bland and subpar after endgame.

I’ve seen Endgame. It was the last MCU movie that I saw before this one. I watched Loki recently after being told by a subscriber that I needed to see it to understand Deadpool and Wolverine.
