this film does so much with so little, I remember seeing this at the theatre and becoming a blubbering sobbing mess when Wall-e got crushed by the plant podium. And again when EVE brought him back but his personality was gone.
It’s important to watch the end credits because it shows how the people were able to rebuild society and agriculture on earth. It also shows Pixar’s love of art history through that story, with the evolution of art to the present.
As a kid i cried because it was beautiful and sweet. As an adult, I cry because of how much humanity falls, and their happiness and excitement and determination to keep going. And WALL-E.. his dedication, his perseverence, his love.. reminds me so much of my boyfriend.
I remember getting this movie shortly after it came out on DVD. I was about 5 or 6 at the time, and it was one of my favorite animated movies then, and remains up there now, as a 21 year old.
I like to believe that WALL-E is the offspring somehow of Number 5 aka Johnny 5, from the movie Short Circuit, 700 years later, because they do resemble each other, it's the eyes. 🤣👍
"Where does the food come from" The only explanation I can think of is that humans have discovered a Star Trek-style replicator, because not only do they have unlimited food, but they're somehow generating enormous piles of trash for WALL-A to throw out. That could also explain why Earth is so full of trash. If you have a replicator, there's no need to recycle, so the trash just piled up and up and up.
I don't know if you buy physical versions of any of these movies but there's a criterion collection version of this that has a Blu-ray packed which a bunch of special features.
@@kahlareacts Strongly recommend getting physical copies even if they're [REDACTED]; never know when the companies will decent to pull them for streaming or paywall them even harder. Them kids will never the joy and horror of having to rewind a VHS 🤣
Speaking of putting her boyfriend back together you also should check out Lisa Frankenstein. Same concept as the original Frankenstein but set in the 80s.
Such a cute reaction, it was nice to see! If you want to watch a movie(animated film) with a similar level of emotion, I highly recommend watching "How to Train Your Dragon" if you haven't seen it yet. This is also both a fascinating and sweet story, with very well-developed characters and touching moments.
Thank you for a sweet reaction to a romantic and silly story couched in a deadly serious environmental setting. I hoped that you would also watch and listen to the song at the end, sung by English elder alternative rock star and activist Peter Gabriel. Given that at the end of the movie-story people have returned to Earth, the animation showcases the history of human visual arts from a start with prehistoric cave paintings to the post-Impressionists, and includes Egyptian hieroglyphs, ancient Greek vase painting, Byzantine mosaics, Chinese classical ink drawing, Renaissance Old Masters drawing, etc. If you have time to see and hear it, I hope you will enjoy the experience. I was struck by it when I first saw the movie at the cinema when first released. ua-cam.com/video/hscu7cc1_2Y/v-deo.html

The escape pod scene: Wall-e did not activate the self destruct. Go-4 did that when he pressed the button and left.
The next Pixar movie you need to watch is "UP", make sure you bring tissues for that one.
There is a short. It is called Burn-e. The story takes place in the background of wall-e's story. It starts here 11:59
A masterpiece of a movie that will forever be a favorite of mine

I'm OK with robots dating, but I just think that only robots of the same brand should marry each other. Think of the children.
Do robots have gender/sex? I know that tanks do.
@@lindala2602 IDK. I'm joking.
