I have a 4.3 2014 Silverado and it's incredible. Tons of power and easily 25mpg. The 4.3 is S tier. Very reliable motor. Also had a 3.1 V6 94 Cavalier and loved it. Accurate at B tier due to intake gasket issues.

M279 is the best v12 ever. Especially tuned. Power monster and more reliable then its m275 brother

The V35A is definitely D tier. Plagued by reliability issues, overstressed and unstable. The new Tundras/Sequoias are failing more than even Rams.

The Australian Chrysler hemi 6 cylinder engine was originally developed by Chrysler as a replacement for slant 6 in trucks. But they never went ahead with it..... Chrysler Australia developed the engine further and use it to the early 1980s

Sorry if this is obvious but with this rollbar and a soft top, are you able to still put the soft top up completely over the bar? If so, is it harder to put up now than before or still pretty easy? Also I noticed you had the soft top down at the track day you did. Why was that?

I have an S70 with the B5254T with 193hp, it is fast as af considering it's HP but thanks to the wide range turbo. It's fast almost full range. I accidentally reached 180kph (110mph) while overtaking two cars casually by doing a kickdown (this one's an automatic) right after I purchased it which surprised me. I expected more turbo lag.

I agree with about 90-95% on his tier list engine videos, which is pretty close. I disagreed with the 4.6L rating, although I know he is giving his opinion. I believe it is an amazing engine, although it falls short of the LS and Coyote for all out performance. The 4.6L is reliable and sounds amazing. A little forced induction can fix the hp deficit.

Is there any benefit in a ally coolant tank?

Ls3 especially when twin turbocharger is added would go up a notch the reliability alone puts it there

I absolutely love my Jeep 4.0 I6 engines. I will grant that they aren't perfect, but are quite reliable with minimal love.

The most robust, reliable and longest lasting V6 engine here is the GMC big block V6. While it is a heavy duty truck engine, it put's all the others here to shame in doing heavy duty work and lasting. It's in a class of it's own..

Honda makes the best V6 engine in the world! Just look at F1 and Indy currently and not to mention the history of F1 and Honda. Who else had a 300hp NA SOHC 3.5 20 years ago

Mercedes M275 won International Engine Of The Year at launch in 2004. Replace the Mercedes M275's ignition coils and it's just as reliable as the M279. Because the cars of the M275 generation were better overall. RENNtech plug in tune takes it to 700hp. But I do think credit should be given for massive production volume for the period and move the M275 up to the A tier. g

Now take the S-tier and compare intake and exhaust valve sizes. Note: 1GRFE, 2GRFE (transverse), and 2GRFSE (longitudinal) are very different engines with different valve sizes. The pedestrian 2GRFE minivan engine has some big honking valves like the Nissan GT-R engine.

The gen 5 Viper 8.4L V10 belongs FIRMLY in S-tier. They are the LS of V10 blocks.

No love for the M57?? Not even a mention. Mine is basically stock just tuned. Over 600 lb ft of torque and I can get 42 mpg hwy. there is NOTHING else like it. Performance and fuel economy don’t normally go together. IMO the best thing BMW has ever made

Nah the 5VZ may as well be a completely different engine to the 3VZ. Look how many 3rd gen 4runners and 1st gen Tacomas are still running around with that engine. They are approaching 30+ years of life and are still going.
