I recommend a Milwaukee 27in 1 screw driver. It has every type of bit you will need. It ratchets and is magnetic so you don’t drop anything in a hard to reach place. They also make a stacking hex driver in SAE and metric. These 3 tools have cut down significantly on the amount of individual tools I need to carry and shaves pounds off in weight.

The Welder has far tougher "spark resistant" skin than I do 🙂. When you run your wiring plug for the rear trailer, I recommend a 4 wire and a full 7 wire harness all the way to front for an option of a 2nd brake controller. I double tow, but every axle has brakes including my small 1000 lb 12' rear trailer for my SXS. Having sway control and a separate rear brake controller on 2nd trailer has saved me on a few occasions. .

Where did all this talk about frame flex come from all of a sudden. I could have sworn it was an issue a while back but I searched UA-cam and there was nothing about it? It was as if it never happened. Now it is a problem?

Greg, you said about 3/8" was acceptable. You just measured 1-1/8" on your Durango. Are you saying that the flex on your new Durango is excessive?

I had a 2013 Alpine and you could watch the hitch box moving going down the road.

People with Lippert fifth wheel frames purchased in the last eight years or so need to stop using rigid pin boxes and hitches. The MoRyde pin box will do nothing for frame stress, it does help with chucking (horizontal movement) but nothing for Vertical. There are some pin boxes that will absorb some vertical impact with air bags but the best solution is a hitch that can take significant vertical impact, absorb and dissipate that energy from the pin box going up and then down hard which is where the breakage comes from on the frame. There are a few energy absorbing hitches on the market, expensive yes but what is a broken frame worth to somebody? Been pulling 5ers for decades, the last ten years when frames started to fail I switched to an energy absorbing hitch and have not had any issues with my newer Lippert frame. By the way do yourself a favor and upgrade away from the Schwintek slide system, have the Vroom system put in, you'll thank yourself.

Greg , I have been pulling 5th Wheels along time. I never experienced the frame flex because my last unit was 2014 I bought new. The first thing I did was to buy G rated tires as I always have on my 5th wheels. I have never had a tire issue or blow out. A friend that is a dealer told me this years ago. My last set were Goodyear 614 expensive but very good. I sorry for all the flex issues I’m glad I never had that. Those tires hold 110 psi, I ran them at 105. It will pull a lot better with those.
