Like the welders AC hat. Don’t see them very often.
Good timing with this release. Too hot out here (96°) to do anything but watch this! 😅
They way these RV's are put together , I would be afraid it's going to pull it apart.
Wow Greg maybe grand design should hire him no more frame flex lol 😝
Looks alot better than Grand Designs welding. Lol. 😅
The Welder has far tougher "spark resistant" skin than I do 🙂. When you run your wiring plug for the rear trailer, I recommend a 4 wire and a full 7 wire harness all the way to front for an option of a 2nd brake controller. I double tow, but every axle has brakes including my small 1000 lb 12' rear trailer for my SXS. Having sway control and a separate rear brake controller on 2nd trailer has saved me on a few occasions. .
Understood, brother. My single axle aluminum utility trailer doesn't have electric brakes on the axle hubs, otherwise I certainly would want to allow for that little bit of extra stopping power.
Did you do anything before welding to trailer like Disconnected battery, unplug power etc?
Both, yessir.
@@CruizinWithTheCarsons thx for the reply. Just trying to ensure not causing my own headache.
@musimowingmoreinc9031 if you have any questions I'm happy to help, feel free to hit me up. This is the 3rd time we've done it to a 5th wheel camper.
Looks good Greg.
Thank you.
Yes sir! That looks awesome Greg! Josh did a great job!
Great looking work.
Looks great, will you protect the steel from corrosion?
Yes, as mentioned toward the closing of the video, nothing left but lights, sand, prime and paint.
@@CruizinWithTheCarsons, you’re right. I read that toward the end of the video because I was thinking about that process and then you threw that out there. Great work CWTC.
Did a very nice job of voiding the warranty
@@Ned-p1y I checked and not the case as long as it's done by a licensed certified welder. Also, several dealerships have added custom welded hitches to the 358RPQ and all have confirmed it wont void the warranty.
I’d like to see more specifically what he did. Looks like (2) tube steel beams running side to side separated by 12” or so. Then the receiver placed below the beans and secured with side gusset plates. Did he weld the tubes to the underside of the RV main frame.
