I'm a little confused - how did mining platinum gain you all that Pranav reputation? I'm souring on PP2 a bit because I keep getting ground missions that take a LONG time and risk fines and bounties.

I love PP2, and Pranav's bonuses, but holy hell he keeps assigning me "scan megaships" tasks and they're so boring.

Little heads up. For even more merits it needs to be in Boom, the system you choose, and a refinery economy. Demand too for the ores you want. Also sell in batches of 5 to avoid bulk tax

I'm really liking PP 2.0. It gives me that extra feeling of the Bubble being alive. It also gave me purpose on trying different gameplays like settlement raids or even piracy/sabotage/hacking. The best thing .... Stronghold Defense/Attack. I can't be bothered by the merits I gain per hour, I just measure PP 2.0 in fun per hour.

Either the servers or I will go to the grave without me having pledged. I really wish that wasn't a major component to even start to mess around with PP. I guess I won't be colonizing the galaxy at 10 Ly per go either.

Quick tip, turn off auto-landing as it can take too long to land sometimes, especially in tough terrain.

Is there a higher drop rate of titan drive components on a recently deceased titan? I was at Hadad and in 3 hours had one single drop, and the game bugged out not picking it up, although it was nomore to be seen on the contacts panels. I picked up other titan commodities without issues. It was such a waste of time. Feels like I lost 3 hours of my life.

Its a shame they nerfed the hell out of the payouts for this. I loved it so much back when it was actually profitable. I still do it just for fun, but if your goal is credits per hour this is near the bottom of the efficiency list these days.

I don't know if anyone else is experiencing it, but my game will occasionally bug out and not update my inventory when I scoop things or buy or sell things. Lets me jump further than I normally should, and I just transported a Drive Component without an anti-corrosion cargo rack.

The drop rate is so fraking tedious, I gonno skip this for now, with the hope this will improve. I not gonna spend Christmas days in a dumb, stupid grind, as the brain-dead edevs want us to do... the drop rate for propulsion element is miserable, atm.

I find E:D engineers hilarious: "I'll grant you the benefit of my knowledge and wisdom, IF you are worthy." A real engineer would be: "Why are you bothering me? I have work to do. Upgrades? Talk to my assistant. They'll put you on the schedule and give you a bill of materials. Have it filled before your start date. Now please excuse me."

In my T8 (normally outfitted for SAR), I tried using normal cargo racks but when I got to about 3 Titan Drive Components, using an AMFU alone was difficult to fix the damage. At 4 drives, it was so difficult I still had a cargo malfunction and lost two of them. It's been easier just to grab two 1F anti-corrosion racks and 1-2 Caustic Sinks and then either store the 4 Titan Drive Components on a Fleet Carrier or unlock whatever grade of desired FSDs. That many sinks is a happy balance for me, especially with being so power limited in my setup. The other thing about carrying more Drive Components at once is that if you get ganked or whatever, it's a lot less painful to lose 4 Components than it is to lose 16+.

Really wish we had some local storage for cargo and items. It's long overdue.

I've been unable to find some info, but why would i want to farm those? Are there any more benefits than getting more pre-engineered jump drives? and what's the difference between those and an engineered in a normal way? thx!

Can you mix regular and anti-corrosion cargos racks and have that work as well? Or will one end up suffering corrosion anyway?

Or use guardian module reinforcements to help protect against caustic damage from Thargoid commodities. Also going full guardian hull reinforcements can decrease damage by up to 30%, so allows more time for sinks or repair limpets.

If you run a efficient power plant/clean drive thrusters on just about any ship those goids in the dead and non caustic titans ignore you and are much easier than dealing with that caustic all the time at Cocijo. I like to use a Cutter but also have a Krait 2 that works just the same. Just less cargo space. Wih a setup like that you can fly beside the interceptors and hunters without them even noticing you. I spent about 10-15 hours in the last 3 days getting titan drive components and never once got shot at. At times it made me feel like i was just flying in formation with them. Lol

The older Titan remains make you a hundred million while collecting materials on the side by offering Thargoid victims. The AX NPCs spam repair you. All without a caustic cloud. What's the fun in going to a caustic cloud titan without victims?

My asp explorer build lasted 10 minutes in the caustic cloud (i used silent running to keep temperature at 125%-160%) also it was made for exploration

Wanted to point out that "a single anti-corrosion cargo rack" does not negate the corrosive effect if you go above the cargo capacity of those racks. ie, if you have one c4 corrosion rack (16 capacity) and one c6 normal rack (64 capacity), you'll have 80 cargo space but the resistance only covers the first 16 caustic items you pick up and anything above that will see the normal effect of one module per item-above-16 receiving damage every 30 seconds. To that end, bringing more modules that you don't "need" will increase the pool of things that will be rolled on and thus provide some small protection just through probability adjustments. -signed, a guy who did too much sampling in early war.

got it, just grab any power play commodity from one of my strongholds (Any will do) , sort for exploited systems/undermining, which shows about 200 across the galaxy for all other powers (when you have all powers selected) and a power contact from that station will take them...........

I prefer to use the targeted limpet approach. As long as you bring a cargo hold full of limpets, yes the limpets expire after each item, but they gather the items much more quickly. Since time in the cloud is the main limiting factor, I usually don't run out of limpets if I start with a full cargo bay.

Do you think there will be a CG where we have to go loot materials from the dead titan?

I tried to go in there and collect some materials, but I got ganked in a manner of seconds. Didn't even realize it at first. I did not have much in the way of defense because I only have the one ship that is caustic resistant, which is my Titan buster. So had no chance against the Python MkII (Jerkface). It's all good though. I used to get mad but I realize that in a real scenario where we are pioneering the frontiers of space, there would definitely be opportunists like this. Wish I was better prepared.

I am way out in the black on STAR deployment, how long will I have to get this done?
