Great guide, love the engineer app. Though I now have about 5 different modules at various grades so my shopping list looks quite big and complicated compared to the one you had. Though the app is really worth using :). I noticed this is 6 months old now, and that they were some recent changes by fdev to engineering -- other than more materials found etc, they said something about the wheel click spins are not random anymore. :) Q: If you upgrade a part to level >0 -- e.g. Heavy Duty, lvl 5 -- can you redo the part to have a different upgrade on it? e.g. FSD for range, but then decide you want something else, not range? or do you have to buy a new FSD ?

Incredibly annoying

When scooping the cone for the fsd boost you can hit it at a 90 degree angle (or whatever angle you want) and just slow down to make sure you get the boost. This can shave some time off of your travels because you don't need to line up a specific angle.

To me in SRV Night Vision is a game changer when looking for Stratum...

how do you manage to use the galaxy map whilst in vr ? , some have said to use an xbox controller but i cannot get one to be recognised as well as my x56 hotas . People also say just take the headset off and just use the galaxy map on the computer screen , i think that just defeats the object of playing in vr . cheers for any help

CAUTION PULSE NEUTRALIZER is for getting in the maelstrom, when you go for the Titan! use SHUTDOWN FIELD NEUTRALIZER instead for not getting disabled by thargs!

How can i find AX conflict Zones ?

I love it on my Quest 3, I just hate the aliasing I see even with the super sampling cranked up to 2.0. This is in Odyssey, Horizons is fine.

If you don’t have engineered or guardian weapons I recommend joining anti-xeno initiative private group so you can fight cyclops interceptors as long as there are players, it’s set on auto accept so you shouldn’t have any trouble joining, glory to mankind o7

My Cobra Mk III with modified plasma chargers is particularly good against scouts (and scythes when they interdict me while I’m carrying escape pods). But those weapons, while great against Thargoids and human enemies alike, are a bit a palaver to obtain.

The first time I came across a neutron star I had been playing for quite a while and was in that hypnosis kind of immersion where I felt like I was really there. It popped up and I was genuinely terrified for a moment. I still get kind of on edge when I'm in those systems, especially when the jet cones move as fast as the one at 5:10 like something that massive shouldn't move that fast and your brain knows you are in incredible danger.

My Python mk2 is designed to be disposable it only has just under a 3mil rebuy so when it is destroyed my premium ammo is replenished and since ill be making hundreds of millions from combat bonds as well as turning in several missions before that happens that 3 mill means absolutely nothing

Didn't mention keeping below 20% heat to avoid interceptor fire or that the thargoids ignore shield and hull resistances. Also nothing about how to use the utility modules

I'm struggling to follow the platinum map in the video, it is confusing to me because all the asteroids look further apart for me than they are in the video. Is this an FOV change or another graphical setting?

Ive got the python mk2 is it good for bug squishing?

This was the most fun week iv had doing ax combat in over a year. Was so cool fighting along side other AX commanders defending Jamison Memorial. Also the most money iv made in such a short time (insert Donald’s Trumps Billions & Billions meme)

I used the prebuy Cheiftan, as I have never done any AX stuff. It worked out really well for me as I was only destroyed once ( 2 interceptors lightning and shutdown field lol ) with a 0 rebuy... Even got to take down a few Interceptors, just had to learn how etc lol

sadly at this time the event is over with no confclict zone or any missions in jameson station for some reason even the bar was at 75%. maybe Fdev will clear this out in the future

Python Mk2 has 4 large hard points. Just sayin.

I think you need the Shutdown Field Neutralizer (not the Thargoid Pulse Neutralizer - which is for Titans). I also like to switch out one of the Caustic Sinks with a Heat Sink. And to note: If you can score hits on the goids (doing damage) - you can get pay outs on those too. Good to have experienced AX pilots do most of the work - just get yer boot in.
