I Visited HUNSTANTON For The First Time & It BLEW ME AWAY!
We are back at the Great British seaside this week as I take you on a 4K walking tour of the seafront of Hunstanton in Norfolk! A west facing beach located towards the north of Norfolk (near King’s Lynn) with amazing views over The Wash. If you’re looking for a seaside dog-friendly resort with something to do for all the family, then this is the place to go this Summer!
Starting off on the picturesque rolling sandy beach with its calm sea, I make my way from South Hunstanton beach up towards Old Hunstanton. On the way I pass numerous tourist attractions and things to see and do. Starting with the fairground Rainbow Park with classic rides and amusements, passing the adventure golf and Sealife aquarium and the huge number of bars and places to get fish and chips right on the promenade. Of course as usual I get a beer and indulge in the classic traditional cuisine!
We then take a boat trip to view the coastline on ‘The Wash Monster’ with breathtaking views of the unique stripy cliffs and the Old Lighthouse. They also do seal safaris!
Walk with me as I explore the charming town centre with its quirky independent shops including Britain’s largest joke shop! The amazing hilly green area perfect for a picnic, with amazing views all along the beach, and of course Hunstanton Pier, one of the smallest actual piers in the country!
Perfect for a daytrip from London, couples break, solo trip or a family holiday, come and see why this spectacular town is one of the best places to visit in Norfolk! It’s a completely different feel to Great Yarmouth and Cromer and I cannot wait to return!
If you don’t know me already, I’m Jack and I’m exploring the UK, making travel vlogs as I go. I’d be so grateful for your support, so please do like the video, leave a comment and subscribe to the channel!

Hasting used to be quite an attractive place to visit, then it went downhill!! The seafront was the 1st to experience decay! Lots of ugly abandoned buildings. 3rd Generation Hastings here. It's always been a great place to live. Its always suffered from the classic modern day seaside down condition. Its slowly being gentrified in the st leonards end by DFLs. You'll note the general accent changes and the general attire goes to that of a prebuild persona choice brought from a personality off a shelf shop. The town centre is still suffering from everything shutting up and turning into vape and phone shops. The council removed all the benches and toilets due to drunks taking up the seating and it being a poor attempt at moving them on. The music and community is great. It's been great for years and years. Well presented video of the town.

I lived in Granville Road near the Dover patrol memorial with my brother and mother where we rented a 1 bedroom flat 1981-1989, it was such a small village. The primary school was (and is) outstanding. As French nationals, we could capture French TV on our French receiver on the white cliffs, way before satellite! My 1991 A'level Geography project was on the management of St Margaret's seashore and required much fieldwork at the beach! @6:17 No parking fees back then, it was free. Unfortunately, St Margaret's is completely unaffordable today. Lawyers, principally. Rocco Forte has a house there. Best to buy in Deal or Walmer for affordability.

Nice video. I joined one of those heritage sites a few months back. All my paternal relatives from my Great grandfather who moved to Greenwich ,London ,as far back as I've got to the early 1800s are in the Romney Marsh area . Great Great Grandfather married in the church in Dymchurch... The Census records him and his family living in a village called Orgarswick ,I think Dymchurch swallowed it up as I can only find a street of that name! They were all agricultural workers...he went on to be a tenant farmer in the village of Newchurch more inland. All sheepfarming I believe. I still live in London.

Well done for featuring Hastings, where I was born and grew up, and which was my home for most of my life (I moved to France in 2011 and now have followed my family to Manchester). One important part that you did not visit was the Fishermen's Museum in Rock-a-Nore. My grandmother, Eliza Veness, wrote many poems about the Old Town and the fishing fleet, and was affectionately known as the "Poet Laureate of the Old Town". When I visit Hastings these days, I always go and do a selfie with my grandmother, whose photo is on the wall of the museum, as is that of her son Glencoe Veness (my dad's older brother). I never met Eliza, who died before I was born, but love this connection to her. Her poems are on sale at the museum. My son was christened in the Fishermen's Museum and is on their baptismal roll which hangs on the wall.

Go back when the winds are blowing. Night walk would be ideal. I live in a 124-year-old house and it has had it's ghostly moments. Its a bit dormant now but one never knows when the activity returns. I live in Virginia USA

Yes indeed I thought this would be a cold atmospheric October day but the weather turned out better than British summer! Wow Virginia! I’m glad my video is reaching people in the US 😄

The last time I went to that pool place was in 1999. I used to live at Allenby House in the late 90s.

I bet that pool place has hardly changed since 1999!

The events seem to keep it in the press, not always for the most positive reasons but on a sunny day it looks great, shame the residents of those flats didn't like the rides actually!

I’ve seen this year they’ve managed to get some really big music acts there so hopefully it stays in business. Although as you say a bit of bad press recently 🙁

Love Herne Bay and its pier head at sea, great arcade and cafe inside decent cappuccini... was hoping to see the Tele Go Round, Rotary charity game on seafront, where if you get the jackpot all the characters including thomas the tank and miss piggy all open up...

Some places are great out of season, Hayling and Margate two places I much prefer in season. The railway (with it's Thorpe Park connection) and Funland are the main draws, really like that small fair, awesome donuts

Do love piers that still have the fishing platform at seaward end, especially there where you can see right through, really like the chippy opposite pier for an eat in fish supper
