mike i had one other question some say to put a pan in the oven and before you put the bread in add water to the hot pan for moisture what is your opinion on that step mostly for the irish loafs i am trying to make yea or nay ?

Brilliant Mike, thank you. I use my camp oven and caste iron pot for a lot of curries and stews these days, especially over winter in NZ. But I cook inside so what temp and time would you recommend putting my camp oven inside the electric oven for this? Many thanks, loved your video.
@@nzkaka8293 pre heat iron pot in oven at 250 C when ready put dough in hot pot back in oven turn oven back to 220 C and bake 👍

Wondeerful video and the look delicious. One thing I struggle is that my dough doesn't rise as much as yours and some times only half as much. I will keep fighting with it. Any tips?
Are you using strong baker’s flour keep temperature of dough around 25 c make sure you well develop the dough when mixing good luck 👍

Yeast makes the bread smaller, and less easier to share with others. Unleavened bread is God's type of bread. ✝️

Batch loaf is one of the things I miss most from home. My local shop in Ireland used to stock them from a nearby bakery. They came in a big clear plastic bag in batches of 9. If you wanted one, you'd have to tear one off, I used to love doing that! Thank you for this video, I'll be trying to make my own.

well done the master baker.i just recently pass ,my bakers nc 6 level our college. Recipe ,was strong white flour 500gms 0r 1lb .but we ,used ,warm milk .instead of water. As a Scottish. Baker and 2nd chef .its a thumbs up .from me.well,done mike.👍👍👍👍

Best advice look it up online it gives you a whiter crumb and helps develop the dough etc I don’t bake without in.

I like to make bread Mike but I've never come across flour improver, can you tell me what it is?
It helps develop the gluten and makes the crumb whiter I never bake bread without it you can get online 👍
