I can assure you that this bread is the real deal. Mike passed one of the loves over the fence for me to try. Excellent, the best bread that I can remember having. I put aside a couple of slices to have with my breakfast but they had disappeared overnight. Looks like my wife liked it too. My turn now to try my hand at baking . Perhaps I'll pass a loaf back over the fence to the Master Baker Mike.

No it doesn’t you must develop the gluten in the flour to make good bread the yeast will start working as soon as you let rest for at least one hour good luck Mike.
Me either but then I bought a bread machine and every single recipe in the book say's to add bread improver. I suppose it must help. From Google..."The main ingredient in bread improver is yeast. It usually also contains emulsifiers, which help to make the loaf soft and fluffy. It may also contain an enzyme which can improve the texture of the bread as well as help it to last longer, or asorbic acid (vitamin C), which can help the dough to rise. "
I know this is an annoying question, but the method, can you please put it up with your recipes as I'd like to print it to take into kitchen. My house isn't an open plan, built 1913. Otherwise I would put you on pause.

What is bread improver Mike,and where do you buy it,
Most major stores have it or on line if you google it will explain well give you a whiter crumb and helps develop the gluten better 👍

It help conditions the gluten gives the bread a better colour and softer crumb 👍
Does it affect the yeast by working it 4-5 times through the mixure if it’s a cold day? Or does it survive because it’s already activated?
No it doesn’t you must develop the gluten in the flour to make good bread the yeast will start working as soon as you let rest for at least one hour good luck Mike.

No the ideal temperature to finish the dough is 25 C or 78 Fahrenheit yeast will die if it gets to hot and if to cold won’t rise 👍
When you cut the recipe in half, do I cut the amount of yeast in half also?
