I'm on my second can has the first one went knackered on a new up date ,the new one is fine and no problem connecting the app .

Bit late to the game but I recently got a leaf 2nd hand and I cannot set this app up, just gets stuck on the connecting screen forever on the ownership check. Full signal and everything.

I bought a used 2018 and gave up on the app after playing around with switching the car on and off for a couple of hours. I just use the controls in the car instead. Note that there is no app support for cars older than 2017.

I've had ALL these issues with this dashcam in the last week, since it was dealer-fitted to a new car a week ago... SD card 'error' (replaced, no change), camera freezing at start up/random times (no access to menus)! Android app won't find/connect to dashcam and worst of all - rear camera 'not fitted' (it is!) Dread going back to dealer and waiting hours to get it looked at/fixed...

I did a similar thing to my iMac just today. I had watched your video like a year or two ago when I first planned doing this. Upgraded my 21" from an i5 to i7. I also forgot about the gpu chips being lower lol. Removed the heatsink and cleaned it up again and put on some pads. I just left the cpu attached to the heatsink for that. Luckily it all worked out just fine! My iMac is rocking now and for quite cheap too! This computer is a tough job but I haven't broke it yet lol. So far I've changed the ssd to a 1tb, added a 2tb sata ssd, 32gb ram and now an i7 8700. And my screen is held on with electrical tape cause my double stick ain't holding lol. But good nough!

Just looking at a leaf as a second car in 2024 they are very good value 2 years old 10 to 12k just seen a 2023 for 13.500 with 7k miles that's good value i think

The NVMe adapter I got had a layer of tape on it. But it’s not needed because my Mac is a Mac mini 2014, it’s very spacious for an NVMe drive, and even put a heat sink on the drive.

be VERY careful about the wire routing through the speaker, I didn't see it and destroyed the power button... still waiting on a replacement power button to arrive although I have very little expectation that it will run afterwards 😞

Hi watching your video I think the app didn't work as I didn't see you pair it with your phone on the dash cam... I could be mistaken but didn't see that done

Here’s the terrible thing, it’s better by far than a scooter or a Twizy. If you could guarantee it wouldn’t end up on a motorway, it’s be absolutely fine. I wonder what it does to insurance. It’s weird, it seems insurance companies don’t believe zero stars will affect their payouts? ! My daughter’s costed insurance for this, it seems no worse than any other electric car. But insurance is not the logical business the companies like to imply of course. It’s a rotten score, but if my daughter turned round and said she’s getting a scooter (I mean a real, decent-wheeled thing), we’d probably throw money at her to induce buying a Zoe. It’s all relative. And the inevitable problem is, if you select a car based on British motorway driving, you’re going to buy a big used Volvo, aren’t you? It’s a very big issue, and yet, is it. Sliding doors I think, what’s the alternative, is the question.

speed on this WD Black looks to be the same as OWC Aura X2, any other drives that would be better than OWC? What's the best out there? I'm overhauling a 21.5" 2019 iMac with a Vega 20, going to make it a i9 cpu 64GB 2666Mhz, 2TB or 4TB nvme SSD once I figure out what nvme to get. Don't want any hibernation issues, need it to be fully compatible. Any suggestions, please reply.

These are now £9k or less for a decent used LEAF from 2018 onwards. Excellent value.. cheap to run EV

Got Dash cam today updated firmware using IPHONE 14 App works perfect video is great and sound, after 3 years NextBase has fixed things

Hi mate, ever encountered wherein the two usb c thunderbolt ports stopped working after reassembling? The System Report recognizes both usb c ports but they suddenly cannot detect connected peripherals or hard drives.

If you had been patient then your camera serial number would have appeared in white box . Usually have to wait up to 2 mins like it advised!

How about an update to say how you rectified this problem?

I've had a leaf 30 for 4 years , have you still got Zoe? What size battery has yours? Zoe seem good value now. Thanks for sharing and next time I'm down their deffo going to that museum , looks great and it's free, Duxford is £24 per person

External thunderbolt 3 to nvme is a much better solution. No need to open your iMac and risk damaging it. You can boot and run your MacOS from external nvme drive without any problem and the speed is up to 40 gb/s. Internal drive can be used as a backup.

The app worked well on my iPhone with the 522

1) DUAL FILES must be ON , if you want to be able to see the videos on a mobile phone. Has it only reads LOW Resolution videos. If turned OFF you won't be able to read them on your cellular phone. 2) G Sensor is way to sensitive for me. 3) Suction cup is not added in the box in my country. (had to find it extra )

We were part of the trial as well. WTG / VTH is good, but you'll find you still need a home battery like we also found out.... Also be very carefull of voltage, remember each grid tied device increases voltage we had solar, home battery and car all pushing power out and our voltage spiked up to 257v normally 240, this damaged alot of equipment in our house. Zero help from the installers as they blamed each other and I ended up installing a voltage optimiser to reduce the voltage by 10v. Also the VTG home unit doesn't output less then 6 amps. my home base load is 4 amps, I was told once load goes over 6 the unit switches on .... not ideal as the baseload during the day was my main worry.... however good for high loads like kettle and cooker :) hopefully all this has been addressed with the new unit and I will be buying one.

I have just had all my panels removed due to a leaking roof. Two wires on each panel were cut with plyers. This makes no sense after watching your videos. Is it possible the contractor messed up or could it be the type of panels I have? 455W JA Solar Panels. ☹

The price is not worth it. Sometimes it doesn’t record video and it’s hard to connect to the app. Also it doesn’t loop. I checked the videos one time and found out it stopped recording for two weeks. It’s useless if you have to prove something.

I have a Zoe but no Solar. I always assumed Solar charging could be problematic, simply because the car may have to deal with an interrupted supply i.e. as clouds pass by. Frankly, I would want the car to stop a charging session if the supply can't deliver the requested current - in case this is due to a faulty supply. Also - perhaps you might have tried a full reset before visiting the dealer by disconnecting both the 12V battery and the traction battery isolator under the driver footwell. Just a thought.

Have to say I got all the 522 cameras front and back connected up to three different vehicles. I changed the 32GB cards in them all to 128GB and so far av no probs/issues with any of them thankfully.

Hi, thanks for the video. I just went through my iMac 27 from late 2015 upgrade myself. Fusion Drive installed. An NVMe M.2 1 Tb from WD SN770. It's definitely worth doing. The iMac has become very fast. With Black Magic Speed Disk the speed Write & Read measured just under 3000 Mb/s.
