great car. we had one for 2 years. only annoying issue was a leaking door seal. We sold it after 2 years .. it was NOT rusted to bits! Overall its the cheapest to run and most reliable car we have owned. it was a step up from our Leaf. im sure it will be a great car for you👍
Enjoy your new car, it’s better than the one i had with the 44 KWh battery, which always gave me range anxiety along with charger anxiety, that was back in March 20, things are a lot better now
Great review solidified my decision to order one i have managed to pass my order just before they removed the sunroof lucky me. (Did have to compromise on the colour wanted red but ordered White). The reviews i have seen and especially yours really confirmed for me that even if i had a very short test drive in it was the best choice. As you said you get everything included and not end up paying much more than expected just to have all the features you wanted in the car. Will follow your reviews and hope when I finely get mine (December January) I will be able to contribute to your review
Amazing feedback thanks! Let’s hope the long term reliability is all good too, long journeys coming up hopefully will be able to post some soon. Enjoy yours when you get it!
A good review. I very much liked my MG ZS EV back in March 2020 which I had initially intended to update to the new LR Trophy but then changed my mind and ordered a Kia ENiro which didn’t arrive so waiting for the Kia Niro EV 3 which I hope to get end of this month. Agree totally with the panoramic sun roof being brilliant and the seats and material not ideal especially in the original one as there was no tint on the windows and they got extremely hot when car left in the sun. I did get my side windows tinted which helped but still had lots of sun heat through the windscreen. The other big thing for me was MG pilot which was brilliant for motorway driving, I am surprised you didn’t mention it. Overall a brilliant car for the money, you will definitely enjoy it.
Thanks Bob! I’m finding it good so far, we ordered before the new eNiro was announced but it would still a bit too much I think. I haven’t really had enough time to drive the car to fully test the pilot but I think it will probably deserve it’s very own video, the bits that have pinged at me have impressed me so far like the reversing sensors that detect crossing traffic, very smart.
I have had one for a month, after driving an e-niro these are my thoughts - (I purchased mine in France, it is the top of the range with a tower fitted) The positives - the app and remote control, panoramic roof, lots of toys, charging flaps, 360° camera, BSW, amazon music, heated seats , touchscreen, 11 kW AC charging. Downside - no sunglass holder, manual dip on rear mirror, no regen on cruise control (why?), Intelligent speed assist can't get data from GPS so does not work in France., very heavy boot and bonnet, spoken welcome message with random wrong date. When it is charging it gives you the amps and volts - so you have to multiply to get the kWh. On balance, I would say the Kia is nicer to drive, but noisier.
Interesting Tony, agree with everything about the MG, really weird cruise control behaviour. Not sure about the eNiro never made it to drive one due to objections from the other half!
Really enjoyed your video . Have you found traffic jam assist yet as well . Double pull forward on cruise control stalk . Getting mine next week but saw this in another video .
Good choice and great first look at your MG. We have a MG5 long range in base trim and are thrilled with it. It has cloth seats which was partly why we went for the Excite model. Looking forward to your next video. Take care.
Great video thank you We have had ours for only 10 days and we are very impressed Please could you help me with something you said in your video regarding the Quick Menu off the star button You said you could add items to this Please could you explain how to do it I would so much like to add a shortcut to the Manual Speed assist it would save so much time. Many thanks in advance
I drove the same car 200 mile trip on motorway, got 10% left, so about 220 full range on motorway, set adaptive cruise control at 75 mph, I don’t think regen will help the range too much tbh
The more basic SE model does not have sun roof and is cheaper, also has fabric type seats which I prefer...but doesn't have other features one might like such as heated seats, cordless phone charge etc.
I have a new ZS EV, collected it today after owning one for 2 years. I hate the new car, it is so uncomfortable. The headrest is rock hard and pushes my head forward. I have tilted the seat so that the headrest isn't a problem and have no support in my neck and shoulders. I have ridden 18 miles in it and am in agony. I hate it. Wish I could have my 69 plate one back. £35k of misery....
Interesting, I also don’t like the seats but if anything these are overly soft and squeaky. A lot of head rests these days push forward to protect the head more in accidents, I’ll have to pay it some more attention and see if it’s similar.
Thank you for taking the time to review the instrument controls properly - always missing from the other reviews!

Thanks G, so far so good 🤞some longer journeys planned so let’s see if it’s rapid charging is upto the job!
Ours is great. Indicators are loud as mentioned by default, but can be changed to any volume via the settings.

Interesting overview I need to go and try one, may call into MG Ipswich over next few weeks and have a look

Ooo I have not thanks!
I'm glad your happy with most aspects of your new car. It seems it will give you just what you need for the next few years.
Yup as long as it doesn’t fall to pieces I think we’re good!
finely getting my car end of April been can't wait
😊usb for dash cam is always on passenger side.
Looking at my zs ev left hand drive...

Cheers Andrew, went out with some friends for lunch and they rocked up in an mg5, they got theirs in 7 days, looks like a great car for the money 👍
Good specs , hard to beat and the price well below most competitors
It’s such a great deal, easiest sales job in history. Let’s see how the reliability goes🤞

The cruise control doesn't use regen braking so will drain your range
Yea that’s somthing I have some second impressions about
I was going to add the same comment.

I’m not a big fan of sun roofs. I hate the sun on my head when driving. I have never liked convertible cars.
Ah well Clive have they got a deal for you! you they’ve removed it and put the price up by £500… 😬

You didn’t test drive it before you bought?
Heat pump ?
I think not but I need to check that one. If it has its even more of a bargain as it’s another option on the Skoda!
Handling perfectly acceptable, will not do more range than its competitors
Range wise If it does what it says on the tin I’ll be impressed enough!
Vegan leather , faux leather just vinyl , industry garbage
100% with you on that one, but Renault seem to have done a better job with theirs, so it would seem like everything there’s A variety of quality.
Corners at speed = pukey kids
