    Just realized we must be neighbours the Dealership in Ipswich is really nice and friendly I’m sure if MG didn't have the production issues due to Covid chip shortage etc. we would have seen many more can't wait for mine arriving December January.

    Looking forward to your future videos, I’ve just been told my ZS should be here Dec, ordered last Nov, I have an MG5 but wanted the higher ride and more range.

    I always thought the MGZS was the same size as the Niro. I guess not, anyway excellent choice. Friend of mine is waiting for the smaller battery version and it seems to be taking ages

    Hi link for you if it’s easier for the MG podcast forum and your welcome I may go back to MG4

    Brilliant brand I e had a mg5 and it was brilliant you will tell a difference from the Zoe . The mg is a lot more refined than the Zoe . I got rid of the mg for a Zoe wish I’d never swapped now . The mg in summer was a mile for mile car at 65 and 70 mph . I did 8000 miles in mine and never missed a beat . You have done the right thing . China is leading the way in Ev s and other makers are way behind their technology. Enjoy it pal 😀

      There is a forum podcast called MG Evs podcast on UA-cam . It will tell you while there is delays on the MGs and other interesting stuff it’s a good podcast . Maybe get yourself on there when you got your ZS .

    Interesting video, thank you!
    I swapped me 40kWh leaf for an e Niro - very happy with that 18 months on. Now, what to do with a 15 year old diesel A3 🤔. MG maybe?

    When did you order your ZS, I've only been waiting 6 months so far but I can't wait to get it.

      Hi Phil, I ordered Feb 22 and received in June 👍 although the dealer had very little information on ETA until about a week or two before it turned up!

      @@eviain I ordered the same time and it has had a TBA against it since May, I hope to get it this year.

      I get the feeling my dealer got a load in and one happened to match my order rather than getting the actual order, they had a few without owners come in at the same time

    Morning Evlain. Well you sound almost word for word what I’m thinking and planning to do, I have a Nissan 40 kWh almost 3 year old Leaf with a year to go and I will buy this one and sell it myself. Then I was going to get the MG or the MG5, but, I think you have almost the last one that comes in this format and price. They have stopped offering them with the sunroof, which has been confirmed when following the MG club UA-cam channel. I would have ordered one to arrive in a years time because that’s almost how long you have to wait, the order books have been closed for over a month. I like the car, deal and price but you can’t order it, and the format has changed . So I will see how you get on and then see what they are offering and hope they don’t change thing’s to much. Good luck.

      Cheers Robert, glad my thoughts chime. Yes I was told they had made some changes, I'm guessing that long lock down in Shanghai has put production out of sync with orders, and perhaps suppliers too of parts like the sun roof, so they've had to stop re-specify and regroup (i'm guessing here I don't know). It's a shame the sun roof will not be an option for new orders, it was really a massive selling point for me particularly as it wasn't a costly option! Hopefully it was supply issues that forced its removal, so there may be hope that it may return one day. Selfishly I'm hoping its not down to reliability! The dealer near me seems to have a decent stock of the MG 5 at keen money, as I think there is a new facelift model coming soon.

    I've had the MG ZS EV Trophy since February and it's been a great car.
    Just for awareness, it does not have a heated steering wheel unless they've updated specs since I got mines.

      Nice 👌 yea thanks for mentioning the non heated steering wheel I don’t think It does have that, your quite right

      @@eviain I found thanks to the app and being able to heat (or cool now) the car remotely, I haven't needed the heated seats, so I doubt I would've used a heated steering wheel anyway.

    My MG ZS EV LR Luxury (73 kWh), as they are labelled in France, arrived two weeks ago, am now selling my 64kwh 2020 E Niro for about the same price.

    I have a 2020 Zoe ZE50 and whilst I’ve not had the same sort problems as you it’s been to the dealer an awful lot over the past two years (2x time squeaky boot, dead 12v battery, broken preconditioning, software update for dodgy BMS, broken reversing camera). I am in a similar position, needing something with more space now we have 2 small kids but quite long lead times on everything. Going to be looking at the Megane E-Tech soon when the demo car is at the dealer for viewing, seems very much in the Niro EV category. I know lots of people love the ZS EV so will be interesting to see what you think vs the Zoe. My one concern, and I know it’s probably silly but I’ve come to rely on the speed limiter in the Zoe and worry I’d miss it now on other cars that don’t have them (despite driving for many years in cars without one).

    • @eviain
      @eviain  2 роки тому

      Hi Rob! Yes there does seem to be that Renault reliability/consistency issue which is some what of a problem. My wife uses the limiter all the time and had the same concern. But I found that with the leaf as it had radar guided cruse it fulfilled the same function essentially, and the mg has this.

    The leaf will also have a zero ncap rating so don’t see the logic , many of the ncap tests are like the wltp range tests and are not real world tests , if you also ask my wife she absolutely thinks the leaf is the ugliest thing out there, marmite car

    • @eviain
      @eviain  2 роки тому

      It’s a question of expectation. I’m paying for two brand new cars one with zero ncap, which was not what I expected. If I choose a less safe car, then fine, and will use it accordingly. However the 40kwh leaf is a safe car.
      The older ones less so I’m sure but I haven’t looked in to them yet. Agree the ncap are not always real world tests but you’ll be a brave manufacturer to go against them, Renault have rolled the dice on an old model that is soon to be discontinued so perhaps they felt it was worth a go.

    The eNiro isn't the eNiro anymore, it's Niro EV now you are using old terminology globally it's now Niro EV. It is not cheap though which is unfortunate.

    • @eviain
      @eviain  2 роки тому

      Thanks. When we looked at it, it was the eNero and the old shape.
