None More Metal
United States
Приєднався 26 сер 2022
Hey everyone! My name is Kennedy, and I am the creator behind None More Metal. My goal with this channel is to foster a community focused on Heavy Metal and Hard Rock music, with a particular emphasis on bands from the 80's and 90's.
Think: Metallica, Machine Head, Slayer, Alice In Chains, Megadeth, Anthrax, Pantera, Danzig, Fear Factory, etc...
Anything that gets a discussion going about these bands and this music is fair game for this channel: reviews, rankings, in depth analysis, etc...
My hope is that I can share what it is I like (and possibly, dislike) about Metal/Rock from this era, and maybe have my ears opened to some stuff I previously didn't appreciate enough.

I was WRONG about Metallica's M72 Tour
The past weekend Metallica kicked off the M72 World Tour in support of their new album 72 Seasons.
Each stop on the tour consists of two shows, 32 total songs, and no repeats.
A couple of months ago I took a shot at predicting the set lists for these unique shows. This video contains a comparison of my predictions against the actual set lists from the first two M72 shows.
72 Seasons in the 11th original studio album in Metallica's discography, and features the following songs:
- 72 Seasons
- Shadows Follow
- Screaming Suicide
- Sleepwalk My Life Away
- You Must Burn
- Lux Æterna
- Crown of Barbed Wire
- Chasing Light
- If Darkness Had a Son
- Too Far Gone?
- Room of Mirrors
- Inamorata
Metallica's current band members:
- James Hetfield
- Lars Ulrich
- Kirk Hammett
- Rob Trujillo
Metallica former band members include:
- Cliff Burton
- Jason Newsted
- Dave Mustaine

Based on having extensively studied Metallica's past se...

Mastodon - Ranking the Albums from Worst to Best
Переглядів 437Рік тому
In this video I'm ranking the albums of American heavy metal band Mastodon. But, I'm limiting myself to exactly two sentences per album to justify each ranking. If I can't explain the good/bad of an album in two sentences, I don't know it well enough. Mastodon formed in 2000 in Atlanta, Georgia. The following albums from Mastodon's catalog are ranked in this video: - Remission - Leviathan - Blo...

From their beginnings in 1980's all the way through today, each of these four bands has had tremendous success and a lasting impact on the heavy metal community. Today I'm comparing, contrasting, and ranking these four bands. I'm doing so by scoring each of the bands in five categories: - Musical Abi...

Metallica's 72 Seasons - Best and Worst Song Titles, Ranked
Переглядів 30 тис.Рік тому
Metallica's newest studio album, 72 Seasons, will be released on April 14th, 2023. Because I'm an impatient fan, I'm not even going to wait for the album to come out to rank the songs. Or, rather, the song titles. In this video I rank the songs based solely on their titles, and take a stab at what some of the songs might sound like. It's a guarantee that I'm going to look like an idiot when the...

Anthrax - Ranking the John Bush Albums
Is this true that they will played Crown Of Barbed Wire live in 2025
Yeah
JON BUSH VOICE IS AMAZING ANTHRAX IS BETTER WITH BUSH
Hetfield: YEAAAAAAAH Mustaine: *_BAAAAALLLLLLLLS_*
What is the name of the song in the background, please? 🙏
Great video! Being a big fan of prog rock/metal number one choice is obvious for me, Crack the Skye. Leviathan is a close second but for completely different reasons to Crack. Emperor of Sand was a surprise album because I genuinely did not expect it to like it as much as I did. Blood Mountain is brutality with panache and it flows marvelously as an album. Now, this is were I agree to disagree, I think Once More 'round The Sun is the better version of what The Hunter wanted to be but couldn't. Hushed and Grim is a great diverse journey of an album with a somber mood and matured pace but everything felt familiar and in the comfort zone and at times directionless, it did not move me as I expected it and it is possible that it felt this way because it's the album that came after Emperor of Sand. The Hunter has some great songs in it but it felt short as a cohesive album, to me it felt like b-sides songs that were recorded during the same studio session. Remission is their intro album and as such it is unrefined and frantic but you can hear their style coming through. 1 Crack the Skye 2 Leviathan 3 Emperor of Sand 4 Blood Mountain 5 Once More 'round The Sun 6 Hushed the Grim 7 The Hunter 8 Remission
Dario play best solos )))
i was lucky enough to see trapped under ice in Prague 2022
Bush was never the problem, it was the subpar songwriting
They should have stayed with John Bush
Every ad is Kamala, where’s Trump?
The black album got me hooked so it makes sense
“Bush Era” Anthrax wasn’t Anthrax, they should have changed the bands name to PearlGarden
When I listen to The Sound of White Noise, I don’t hear one ounce of Pearl Jam or Soundgarden
@@NoneMoreMetal Only ? This Is Not An Exit? Having suffered growing up in Oklahoma where Alice In Chain, Perl Jam were constantly played on the radio, it was so sad seeing the “Bush Years” as an Anthrax fan. Trying so hard to be mainstream. I get it though $$$ it worked for Metallica. Can’t believe “Anthrax” attempted Indians with Bush 🤮thank god I haven’t heard that atrocity. Joey for life!! However Fist Full of Metal is in my top 2 Anthrax Albums, Neil Turbin was in his prime
Tip
Persistence of Time is still their best album from either eras, but John Bush gave em a new edge.
ZW all the way! NO QUESTION!
The video preview image asks, "Was John Bush a Mistake?" 😅😂🤣 Is that a joke?? -- The best material that Anthrax ever recorded was with John Bush... rendering everything else unlistenable.
I don't mind artist like Metallica charging more, since the majority of the paying audience are older (me being 39 myself). The number one predictor of wealth is age (not that it's guaranteed). So as long as the audience can afford it, I'm cool with it. What I HATE is when younger artists like Taylor Swift charge $1,500 per ticket for backrow seats in a stadium, to her younger audience. That is a HUGE financial burden to someone (or their parents) in their twenties and younger. People going into debt just to watch your show isn't cool!
John bush era is great🤘🏻
#2: Real live capuchin monkeys? 🐒 Spoiled kid. All I had was a sock monkey.😉
Dude!!! Those Fillmore shows had to be great!!! Lucky to catch that one!!
Leviathan at 5 is just.... bro..... ?
Aquaman on guitar
Best Metalic Vocal
Armored Anthrax sucked..... period.
JBs I Am The Law- Way better!
fuck no. sound of white noise is their best record and its not close
He is a great grunge and thrash singer.
I love We've Come for you all. Don't know why people hate it so much
I think Lars Ulrich reached his peak in “And justice for all”- 1988.
Interesting. Sound of White Noise was the onky era i really got into. I've seen many comments claiming the polar opposite to you, that firing Joey killed their momentum and they would have been significantly more popular. That theory makes no sense to me.
Yeahhh gives me a thousand years of life🤓☝️
Thumbs up if you spotted the photoshopped ESP
I was just a fan of the band before they fired Joey. John made me a die hard fan. With John leaving Anthrax, I stopped being a fan of the band. Thanks to that, I can look at things from a different perspective now: I totally understand the fans who didn't like the John Bush albums. (Not only) Anthrax were influenced by new musical trends when writing songs for the new album (SOWN), unfortunately parting ways with music companies and poor album promotion broke the band's neck and caused huge debts. It's hard to say how it would have turned out if they hadn't been fired by the new management of Elektra Records. Metallica released the Black Album in 1991, which made them fucking famous, and even though they recorded crap albums after that, they survived and are still one of the most famous metal bands in the world. I don't think John Bush was a mistake by any means and in my opinion any album with John is better than any Metallica album from that era.
Honestly Anthrax was a step down for Bush. He was so good during that time he should have been A superstar but it is what it is I will always scratch my head on that one.
I was a fan of both Anthrax and Armored Saint before John Bush joined Anthrax, I loved the albums he did with them, more than anything they did previously. I still listen to Armored Saint, in fact I just saw them live the other week and they were amazing. So much energy on stage and Bush's vocals were stellar. I haven't listened to much of Anthrax for years, I've no interest in the new Joey stuff while Armored Saint just keep getting better. Bush made them more credible in my book, I cringe at some of the Belladonna stuff now. I'm glad he refused to return to Anthrax, his old band are better.
And here I am at 2:30 AM
I loved it and love John Bush and Armored Saint
Probally going to get some hate 9 - dawn patrol 8 - five magics 7 - poison was the cure 6 - rust in peace 5 - take no prisoners 4 - hanger 18 3 - holy wars 2 - lucretia 1 - tornado of souls
yeah you are gonna get some hate
Young James looks like a bully in a Stephen King movie, who is eventually eaten by a giant plant. Old James looks like a manager in a bus garage.
When I first listened to leviathan i was so impressed i re-listened the album two more times (which i never do) and that album alone made Mastodon one of my favourite band ever, so, to see it only at n°5 really set the bar over the moon for crack the sky (I've still hasn't found the time to listen to hit as I impose myself to listen albums in one take)
John Bush without hesitation
Papa Het!
Seen spit out the bone played in Lincoln Nebraska in 2018. That song hits hard live. Good guesses for the shows setlists.
I like Belladonna and Bush eras. Ive never heard volume 8. But agree with the rankings overall. WCFYA I absolutely loved when it came out but doesnt hold up very well imho.
He looks friggin awesome 💯
Damn im getting old 🤷
I just finished listening to Category 7. Although I'm glad Anthrax is still making music - there was almost a decade without them between WCFYA and Worship Music and it's been nearly decade once For All.Kings - Bush's voice on Category 7 will remind you of just how much his talent and intensity are missing from their recent albums.
I was not going to subscribe if there had been a different winner.
Volume 8 is highly underrated.
