01. ... And Justice For All (1988)
02. Master Of Puppets (1986)
03. Ride The Lightning (1984)
04. Metallica (1991)
05. Kill 'Em All (1983)
06. Hardwired... To Self Destruct (2016)
07. Death Magnetic (2008)
08. Reload (1997)
09. Load (1996)
10. St. Anger (2003)
You are correct sir
1. Master Of Puppets
2. Load
3. And Justice For All
4. Death Magnetic
5. Ride The Lightning
6. St Anger
7. Metallica
8. Reload
9. Kill Em All
10. Hardwired
lmao
10. St. Anger
Snare drum is horrible, some lyrics are so bad "My lifestyle determinantes my deathstyle" I still like some songs like Frantic, even with that horrible lyric
9. Hardwired… To Self Destruct
Even if I like this album, I don’t think it compares to the next ones, it has some bad songs imo and I have a problem with a riff being "Murder One", literally a sanitarium and fade to black mashup
8. Reload
Reload on 8? Don’t get me wrong, it’s a good album, songs like Devils dance or the best in the album Unforgiven II are absolute bangers, but it also has some bad songs like Slither (worst Metallica song)
7. Death Magnetic
This album is so good, even if it’s at 7 I love it, some of the riffs are killers and I like the vocals, it also has one of the top 3 Metallica instrumentals (Suicide & Redemption)
6. Load
Alright, this album doesn’t deserve its hate, it’s so good, songs like The Outlaw Torn or Wasting My Hare, Bleeding Me, it has some bangers
5. Kill 'Em All
First Metallica album, how is it in 5? Well, even if it’s completely trashy and it has one of Metallicas best songs (The Four Horsemen) I can’t stand his vocals, well because he’s basically screaming
4. Black Album
How the fuck black album is above Kill ‘em all, idk just my taste, I enjoy this album a 100%, James vocals are almost in point in this album and it has songs like Unforgiven or The God That Failed, both have some of Kirk best solos
3. Master Of Puppets
3rd studio album 3rd place, this album is a masterpiece, even if it’s not the best album, I can enjoy it even more than the black album, riff are killers and every song is a banger, also it as "Orion"
2. Ride The Lightning
What? Number 2? How? I don’t even know, this album is so good, Fade to black, creeping death, call of ktulu, they are all bangers, it’s trashy and aggressive, definitely better than MoP
1. …And Justice For All
Metallica at his PEAK, even without bass, this album is the best of Metallica, like RTL it’s trashy and aggressive, James vocals are ON POINT, and the riffs are just incredible, the guitar tone of this album is probably best Metallica tone, this album is also so hard to play, it makes it more incredible how everyone can play it, you can hear the real James Hetfield here, how tight and precise his playing is, not a single note failed even live, absolutely incredible
Wow, thanks for taking the time to make such a thought out post. I agree with a lot of the points you made, but I disagree with at least one... I love the song Slither. I know, more people probably agree with you than me, but it's one of my favorites from the Load/Reload era.
Thanks again for the comment!
We have the same top 4! 🤘🏼🍻
1. ...And Justice For All
2. Ride The Lightning
3. Master of Puppets
4. The Black Album
5. Load
6. ReLoad
7. Death Magnetic
8. Kill 'Em All
9. St. Anger
10. Hardwired...To Self Destruct
I think Mater of Puppets and the Black Album are their two best albums, but that’s the order I like thm. I like all of their albums! You have to make a new ranking once 72 Seasons comes out! Cheers! 🍻
@Mikey McRae: I’ll definitely do an update after 72 Seasons is out.
Interesting that you have HTSD at the bottom. Any particular reason?
As always, thanks for posting.
@@NoneMoreMetal Right on! Hardwired just seems a little stock, and Kirk didn't put any effort into the solos. I still love the album, but I don't feel it's anything special or different. At least St. Anger had attitude and a unique sound.
1. ...And Justice for All
2. Ride the Lightning
3. Death Magnetic
4. Master Of Puppets
5. The Black Album
6. Kill Em All
7. Load
8. Reload
9. St. Anger
10. Hardwired
Wow, you really connected with Death Magnetic.
@@NoneMoreMetal It's an amazing album, man. I loved it when I first listened to it and I still love it now.
Glad to see Death Magnetic on Number 3 🎊
10. St. Anger
9. ReLoad
8. MetallicA / Black
7. Kill’em All
6. Load
5. Hardwired… to Self-Destruct
4. Death Magnetic 🧲 + Beyond Magnetic 🧲
3. Ride the Lightning ⚡️
2. Master of Puppets
1. … and Justice for All
It’s always so interesting to see others rankings. Thanks for posting this. Interesting to see Kill ‘Em All and The Black Album at 7 and 8.
@@NoneMoreMetal Thanks for the answer and for the great content of your channel ☺️
Yes, I think I have heard the Black Album too much or too often, that is why it is number 8. And although I discovered MetallicA in 1991 with “Enter Sandman”, the first album 💿 I heard in its entirety was Load, so probably a reason I like it so much…
Kill’em All is a banger album, but I find the vocals a bit harsh. They should re-release it under its original name of “Metal Up Your Ass” 🤣
Hardwired would have been better with maybe “ManUNkind” and “Am I Savage” as B sides on the Bonus Disc, otherwise I really enjoy it
Regarding the top 3, I doubt that they will ever be topped, cause they are soooo good and close to perfection
Where will “72 Seasons” ends up in the list ? That is the question 🤔
1. and justice for all by far
2. Black album
3. Master of puppets
4. Load
5. Ride the lightning
6. Kill em all
7. Reload
8. Garage inc
After 1998 Metallica was gone. I don’t even consider the rest of their discography to exist.
1: master of puppets
2:...and justice for all
3: MetallicA (the black album)
4: Ride the lightning
5:HTSD
6: st. Anger
7: lulu
8: load
9:reload
10: death magnetic
11: kill 'em all (yes I like this one the least because I like metallica albums with the harmonies and balads most)
My Top 5: 👍
1: The Black Album
"A Classic with fantastic sound"
2: Garage Inc
"I like the originals so I like the covers"
3: Master Of Puppets
"The best of the thrash era"
4: Re:Load
"Eclectic with power"
5: Lulu
"Well, I like Lou Reed" 😜
You've certainly got a different top 5 than most, but that's cool. Thanks for contributing!

Second comment mentioning for Inamorata as it clocks in at 11 minutes long.
1. Ride the Lightning
2 (or 1A to be honest). Master of Puppets
3. Kill Em All (I'm partial to the raw aggression of Motorbreath/Jump in the Fire)
4. ...And Justice For All
5. Death Magnetic (I found it to be the revival of true "classic" Metallica when I first heard it)
6. Metallica/Black Album
7. Hardwired... To Self Destruct
8. Reload
9. Load
10. St. Anger
If we count production
1 Master Of Puppets -fight me
2 Metallica -I was putting this in 4 place but, the production is so good i can't
3 Ride The Lighting -I had to lower it down, fight me x2
4 And Justice For All -Kinda overrated (fight me x3), the guitar tone is great but production is pretty mid
5 Hardwired To Self Destruct -The production is pretty good here
6 Kill 'Em All -Kinda overrated, doesn't have good production (fight me x4)
7 Load - I love it, BUT, this album has a lot of mediocre songs
8 Death Magnetic -I love it, BUT, this album has a awfull production
9 ReLoad -I like it, BUT, this album has forgetable songs (And some gems)
10 St Anger -seint *a n g y*
If we DON'T count production
1 Master Of Puppets
2 Ride The Lighting
3 And Justice For All
4 Death Magnetic (fight me x5)
5 Metallica
6 Kill 'Em All
6.5 Beyond Magnetic (U N D E R R A T E D)
7 Harwired To Self Destruct
8 Load
9 ReLoad
9.5 72 Seasons (So far)
10 St Anger
My opinion the black album is the best
There’s a lot of people that agree with you.
@@NoneMoreMetalthere are also alot of people that don't agree with him...... sadly
Where would you put 72 seasons?
My subjective top of albums:
1. And justice for all
2. Master of puppets
3. Kill 'em all
4. Ride the lightning
5. Death magnetic
6. Black album
7. St. Anger
8. Reload
9. Hardwired
10. Load
I actually think that metallica doesn't have any failed album. I like some songs from each album. Any album is like a period of a great history for me. But yes, i think that early Metallica's art is more interesting
I totally agree that there’s no such thing as a bad Metallica album. Interesting to see that you see Reload as much better than Load. Thanks for posting.
I agree up until #5
5 the black album
4 ajfa
3 master of puppets
2 kill ‘‘em all
1 ride the lightning
Rtl is my favorite album and my first Metallica album i heard
I find that it's pretty common that the first Metallica album a person is exposed to ends up being their favorite.
My list (including Garage Inc, 72 Seasons, and Lulu):
13. Lulu: If you like this album, you either have really bad hearing loss and THINK this was a good album or your music taste is the most garbage attribute about you, This album is the worst 87 minutes of music ever created if you can even call it music.
Pros: NONE
Cons: ALL OF THEM
Best song: NONE
Worst song: ALL OF THEM
Overall rating: 0/10
12. Kill 'Em All: I get it, this album pioneered thrash metal, but I just can't get into any songs on this thing, especially Anaesthesia. I just can't get to Metallica instrumentals in general.
Pros: Jump In The Fire is a great party song, Phantom Lord was the first Metallica interlude.
Cons: Seek and Destroy and Hit The Light are near identical songs, Megadeth stole The Four Horsemen to make their song Mechanix and it was a lot better than the former.
Best song: Jump In The Fire
Worst song: Anaesthesia
Overall rating: 4/10
11. Load: I think this is an overall pretty weak album. The only good songs this album has are Until It Sleeps, Kind Nothing, and Mama Said. The rest of this album is like a very poorly put together sandwich that doesn't have any mayonaisse on it.
Pros: This is the most experimental album in their discography.
Cons: The poor distribution of bluesy riffs and softer songs.
Best song: Mama Said
Worst song: 2 x 4
Overall rating: 5/10
10. Hardwired... To Self Destruct: It's a solid record. Songs like Am I Savage and Atlas Rise really get me headbanging, but the rest of the album is just okay.
Pros: The first album with Blackened Recordings, First album with good production since St. Anger, THE AM I SAVAGE BREAKDOWN RIFF.
Cons: Poor choice of singles, drums are mixed a bit weird, lack of ballads.
Best song: Am I Savage
Worst song: Confusion
Overall rating: 6/10
Okay, this is going to be very controvertial but...
9. Master Of Puppets: BEFORE YOU CANCEL ME, I HAVE GOOD REASONS. Only half of this album is very good. Those good songs and Battery, Master Of Puppets, and Damage Inc. The other songs are garbage. Disposable Heroes is the core example of a bad Metallica song.
Pros: This is another album that made what metal is today.
Cons: There's a lot so I won't bore you with them.
Best song: Damage Inc.
Worst song: Orion
Overall rating: 6.5/10
I've been writing this for a while. I'll finish this list some other time.
Lol. Sorry man, but don’t bother finishing. You have no clue what you’re talking about.
Why is orion the worst??? That song has more meaning than your entire life!
01. Metallica (1991)
02. Master Of Puppets (1986)
03. Ride The Lightning (1984)
04. ... And Justice For All (1988)
05. Kill 'Em All (1983)
06. Hardwired... To Self Destruct (2016)
07. Death Magnetic (2008)
08. Reload (1997)
09. Load (1996)
10. St. Anger (2003)
I started to listen Metallica back in 1992, song Sad But True attract me to listen Metallica and it is my favourite band of all time. Black album is the first album I've heard from the band and it has a special place in my heart. If you look how band played earlier and after load reload era, the bands best album in my opinion is Master Of Puppets (1986). 🤘
That’s a good list right there. Thank you for commenting.
1. AJFA
2.Black album
3. MOP
4. RTL
5.DM
6.Load
7. KEA
8.Reload
9.St anger
10. HTSD
Very cool. You're the second person to rank HTSD below St. Anger. Is there any reason? I'm just curious.
@@NoneMoreMetal st anger songs are actually pretty good and fun to listen to exept all within my hand and invisible kid, its something new and different and i like that HTSD got some good songs but it is kinda boring and nothing new
Halo on fire is the only song that feels like they put some effort into it. But st anger is not that good but it is better both bottom tier albums
You never disappoint
Thanks! My parents would disagree. :)
