Great video, thanks for sharing! I'm preparing to pull the windshield on my '74 Formula 400 and the sealant looks like it is some sort of fabric coated in adhesive. I'm perfectly sure it is original, as the windshield has never been replaced (yet). I would use that sort of material if I knew a vendor. Do you have any thoughts on that? I know the butyl style was used for first gens (my '68 Bird and Camaro have it). Thanks in advance for your feedback.

With that open element air cleaner your pulling very hot air under the hood (big power loss) the fuel supply may be insufficient, put a fuel pressure gauge on it and road test it, make sure your secondary thorrtle plates are opening up all the way, the secondary air valves may be too tight (just a little adjustment) take the hood off and road test it, watch the secondary air valves, they can also open too fast and cause a bogg, too much quench clearance can cause detonation, you want .038" to .048" or so, Did you block off the head riser passage, if you want good power and don't drive it during cold weather, you should block it off.

Perhaps better than factory because replacement wire is clad/insulated & so will not corrode. Because the wire is also twisted & multi strand, it is probably stronger as well.

its not too hard to do. Just take your time. Some of my body work did show up under the paint after the hood got hot over the motor and out in the sun. shrink swell stuff. Next time im going to do a decent skim coat of body filler over the entire hood and use some more filler primer when i block it out. Im also going to try and leave it out in the sun for a good while and let it cure very well before i paint.

You might want to clock your compressor so the oil filler plug is on top . The way you have it mounted its not on top. Looks like its over by the inner fender side. It could allow the oil to drain from the compressor when not in use, thereby not lubricating it properly. Also. Hope you didnt damage the reed valves internally. Sandens are a fixed displacement and are gas fill only. Liquid fill is highly noted in instructions of what not to do.
