- Installing new budget weather stripping on the firebird roof rails. Also replacing blowout tab on the roof rails with a new one. These prevent the windows from blowing out when going down the highway at higher speed. Also installing Metro Brand Super Soft Seals on the roof rail to seal up the window and also on the door shell to seal the door.

I am choosing to add the water gutters on mine simply because the car’s black and will require regular washing & cleaning - and want to route the water down the gutters rather than leak past windows & into the car - cheers Nath - hope you & fam are well, merry christmas from downunder where its currently 95f

Silicone lubricant.. I have to try that! I have stiff seals and I’m hoping that it will help them break better.
Seemed to work pretty quick too. If you try it, let me know what you think. I can’t be 100% that that’s what did the trick. But they seemed to be super set the day after I put the silicone on.
Love this video! I’ve been watching all your videos and I have an issue that I haven’t found you cover. For the life of me I don’t know how to put the headlight bezels in and I feel really dumb cause they look like it should be simple but won’t squeeze in the bumper holes. The headlights are in the bumper.
Its all good Adam, there have been plenty of times where ive had to scratch my head WAAAY longer than i should have to figure something out on this build. Once it clicks though..... youll get it! So my next video will be the install of the bezels on this 71' bumper. Maybe that will help if you havnt got it by then. And mine closed hard till I let it sit in the sun for a day
Yup. I did about half of the first door without the push rod! Rough!
Me too. I think working in the silicone spray helped a bunch as well. I think the silicone softened it, but the sun formed the seals and set the memory on them.
