Guess who's back?! RICH! The hot chip eating Rich, lol! I know it's been a while since you guys have seen Rich in a video. We have been fishing together, just haven't recorded or didn't catch enough fish to make any videos😅 But on this day, even though it was definitely slow, we caught enough so I went ahead a put a short video together anyways. Always a good time fishing with Rich and at least...
What is a SUPER SLAM?

On this episode, I'm back on the kayak fishing a new creek and attempting to catch, what I will call, a NorthEast Florida "SUPER SLAM". That's a Redfish, Trout, Flounder, Sheepshead, & Black Drum - all in 1 day. I chose this creek because it seems to have a habitat diverse enough to sustain each of those species. Watch the video to see if I was correct! Check out my Facebook page if you have ti...

Tournament 8 : Return to SISTERS CREEK - Fishing Jacksonville, FL

For this episode, we gathered a small group of friends together on Mother's Day weekend for a little friendly tournament. We'll still call it tournament #8. $30 entry, total of 5 anglers. Whoever catches the longest individual Redfish, Trout, and/or Flounder wins 1/3 of the total cash pot. Slow and tough day for me, but caught a few fish and had a great time competing with the fellas. Hope you ...

This huge pristine white sand beach sandbar hasn't always been here. The topography at Huguenot/Ft. George Inlet is constantly changing due to the natural forces nature. I've noticed it while driving by maybe for a 2-3 years now. So on this episode, I actually hop on the kayak and pay a little visit to this sandbar. Main objective was to catch Pompano and/or whiting. That didn't go as planned b...

Tournament #7! After a few months break, we finally got a group together for another tournament. Same group of guys with a few new participants this time. The group voted on Usina Boat ramp (AKA Mike's Place) down in Vilano Beach, FL. as the location. Also, instead of the usual "Slam" format, we decided to only target redfish. Any and all sizes - Catch, Photo, Release. Everyone took photos of t...

Wind Ruined Our Plan, But Still Found FISH! Jacksonville Fishing
We catch shrimp from those seawalls every year when they're running. fishing is good when you hit some schools of red and sometimes you get hybrid stripers there on the St. John's
Never got into shrimping. Would love to learn one of these days. Would love to catch a hybrid striper as well. That would check off a new species. We did see quite a few people cast netting for shrimp out there though. Seems to be a popular spot for them. Thanks for checking out the video!🤙
@@VISUAL-LY Shrimping is fun and easy. Have you been down to Guana in Ponte Vedra?
@@chefslifechronicles4650 yes I have. I know people catch them down there pretty good. Along with blue crabs. But I’ve only kayak fished there lol
I Live in Orange park and im just now getting into saltwater and i would love to get up with you on a trip if possible
yeah, can try to set up something. I only fish weekdays though. You have a kayak?
@@VISUAL-LY yesir i do have one. ive only used it once lol. but im off days of the week also i work swing shift
But I won’t lie I don’t have luck fishing lol
Awsome!
👊👊
That exact spot is where flounder fishing started for me 😊 BTW great content on all your vids! Keep them coming. Side note: Just this past weekend caught a 19.5 speckled trout in that same spot.
Appreciate the support! Some good fish can definitely be caught there! 19.5 trout is nice! Sheepshead too. I caught a bunch off the bridge pilings🙌
Enjoyed video great way to learn on fishing
Thanks for watching! Glad you enjoyed🙌
Man i absolutely love these video. I live in Jacksonville too I just got a kayak but I don’t know where to find groups to fish with any tips? Keep up the content!
@@gammyvelazquez4161 appreciate it man! There are several Jax kayaking Facebook groups and I occasionally see people posting about getting out fishing together. Jax Yaks, Dirty Duval, North Florida Inshore Slayers. Check out those pages🤙
@@VISUAL-LY ok great will check these out thank you
Wow that’s awesome I pass over that bridge every day and always wonder what’s down there we fish down mayport and white shell a lot but kinda hard fishery here lately without a vessel
Definitely a cool place not many people get to see. I have to try it again, I know there’s good fish around that island
@@VISUAL-LY most definitely
Just moved to jax and grabbing my kayak tomorrow, you inspired me to check out sisters creek!
Heck yeah! Good luck out there!🤙
Anyone know where this is in Jax?

Was out at the sound over the weekend wade gigging smacked a 23" flounder stuck in a small tidal pool. He must have been trapped from the tide going out. Easiest, most free flounder I've ever caught or gigged 😂😂
What!? That’s crazy! Def gotta check those tidal pools🙌
Looks undersized.. @FWC

@@VISUAL-LY looking forward to our next outing on the water bro 🤙🏼
Lessgooo! Rich said boat is ready and he wants to target mangoes
That thing was THICK
became a nice dinner for someone lol
Do you like incoming or outgoing tide better for creek flounder fishing?
For the creeks, I like to fish both. Last 2-3 hours of outgoing tide then stay for first of incoming.
Very very cool.
🤙
good ol haulover
💯
Beautiful. Im trying to catch my first Sheepshead. Any tips or suggestions? Im in Charleston and its some nice ones here.
It may be a different how we fish for Sheeps vs how they’re caught in S.C. The fish may feed slightly different too. I would highly recommend you watch a channel I also watch. Sheepshead fisherman out of S.C. Check out “make time for fishing” on UA-cam. Christian is the man when it comes to sheepshead🙌
I bought 2 St Croix rods and broke them both not too long after, I think Im gonna stay away from them for now. Would you keep using them in the future? Maybe im not used to handling a higher end rod, not sure. A limit of flounder, that's nice man, looked like a fun trip, wrangling those things with the net.
I’ve broken 2 as well. But I love how they cast and how light they are. Maybe time to start trying new rods and maybe spend a little bit more😓
Nice 🤙🏼 what rod and reel are you rockin with?

Impressive move, still fishing with a broken rod tip. That’s some pro stuff there. Hey man, I’d like to go fishing with you, one day. Let me know. I’m in the Jax area. Yulee. Good luck!
LOL, got lucky. But Thank you! Can def try fish together some time. Kayak or landbased?
@@VISUAL-LY Kayak, I have an Old Town Sportsman PDL 120. let me know and I’m down brother! Thanks for replying.
Ok cool! We’ll make it happen!
Ok, im kinda trying to be funny, but also not. Your rod is better now that it broke. Always wonder while guys flounder fish with long spongy rods. I use a 6'6" medium heavy casting rod and i set the hook like shaw grigsby! Been using a cajun Savannah in heavy for the last 5 years or so. Good video!!
LOL Thanks! Since you said that, I'm gonna keep it as is. Seem to cast ok too😂😅
Easier to handle in tight places also, I fish the docks up around huegenot. Biggest flounder last year was 27 inches, hope to break the 30 barrier before I die, hehe.
You seem to catch and keep a lot of flounder. Can you do a video on how to fillet them?
I usually dont' filet flounder. Cooking them whole is the best IMO. But if I do, I'll make a video if I do a good enough job lol
Nice job buddy! Great video!
Thanks Roman! You been out at all?
@@VISUAL-LYno, unfortunately not. Life’s been busy

Damn! Any fish left? Great video!
😂thank you!🤙
Man U really showed me how it’s done that day. Rocked em out and damn nice fish too. Awesome day!!
The broken rod must be good luck!! Gonna use it again next trip and see what happens😂
Man, breaking the rod tip immediately is tough! Only thing you can do it cut it off at the next eye so you don’t keep wrapping the line around the tip all day
I’ll prob keep using it like this now😂😅
Enjoyed the video sir!
Cool! Thanks for the support!👊👊
Damn good job hand! You have some of the best videos on yt.

how long did you fish for and how many gulp did you go through? I've had a lot of luck with gulp too, but I feel like a zman curly tail or grub would give you the same results, what do you think? and how many gulp did you go through?
@@christopherpeterraby prob 3 hours. Used 2 gulps. One had to be cut off on the fish that swallowed it. I’ve tried fishbites curly tail but never Zman. I’ll prob take a look at them but would take a lot for me to switch lol
