  • Rich joins me on another adventure I had planned! This time, we explore a desolate island right in the middle of Jacksonville, FL - THE BIGGEST CITY IN AMERICA! (landmass wise). We kayaked over, found a place to set up camp, found some new fishing spots, and even enjoyed a nice meal of our fresh catch! Hope you enjoy the video! Thanks for clicking!

    When those Bull reds start running it’s a good place to hookup in the kayak on the channel side.

    That's right off of reddy point dude such good fishing around there. Bull Reds galore when the mullet run comes through. I kinda despise the homeless population here in Jacksonville. They all act helpless and hardly ever clean up after themselves 🤦

    • @VISUAL-LY
      @VISUAL-LY  Рік тому +1

      Are you saying someone or some people actually live on there??😳
      But 💯agree with you. We live in historic Springfield and the mess they leave is ridiculous. Not only from homeless people either. See Mfers open their car windows and tossing out trash constantly

    • @matthewbruce5682
      @matthewbruce5682 Рік тому +1

      @VISUAL-LY We have people here in Ortega that take advantage of areas like that that cops won't go to so they live there and trash the whole place. Then they just move on to the next area to trash when they do get called out.

    • @VISUAL-LY
      @VISUAL-LY  Рік тому

      Wow. Sad truth is, I don’t recall any other city I’ve visited being this bad with homelessness and they trash they create😔

    Cool video. Did you paddle from Readie point? It’s only a few hundred yards. Just curious.

    • @VISUAL-LY
      @VISUAL-LY  Рік тому

      Thank you! Yeah, we did. Unfortunately my propel drive is still being worked on and the crazy wind/current made the short paddle a lot tougher than it should’ve been😅

      I see that you were using your paddle instead of the pedal drive.....is this the same Yak?

    • @VISUAL-LY
      @VISUAL-LY  Рік тому

      @@pedrocordero7898 lol good observation. Yeah, same yak. But i didn’t have my pedal drive that day. I dropped it off with a friend to have it serviced/repaired since the trip before it was making some weird noises and wasn’t turning smoothly. Def the wrong day to kayak without my drive. It was tough!

    If you cut yourself on any of the rocks in the river, you must immediately clean it out with fresh soap and water not the river water. There is a lot of staf bacteria on the rocks in the river. Also seek medical attention if it does not heal in time. The river is generally clean but I wouldn’t use it to clean out cuts.

    • @VISUAL-LY
      @VISUAL-LY  Рік тому +1

      You’re 100% right. Bad decision. But we did make sure to put lots of alcohol on the cut when we got back to truck. Hopefully all is good!
