Basically the reason that this was better than the entirety of Dead space 3 is because Dead space 3 was an action game with some horror on that's where is this actually attempted to try to capture the things from the original dead space and Dead space 2 the HP Lovecraft style storytelling

I was about to buy this game today because it’s on sale but decided to find a review for it. I thought it was 3rd person. I’m so tired and bored of first person horror games so I’ll pass on it.

I played revelations 2 first and I loved it. I am now playing revelations 1 and wish they had the ability to swap characters but they don't have quite the support vs combat make up between Jill/Parker, Chris/Jessica, Grinder/Jackass. If I could remake it then I would make it like this: Jill (stealth): lighter guns, knives, lockpicking, stun, modification Parker (combat): heavier guns, explosives, tank (attracts enemies to allow Jill to do her thing) Jessica (stealth): sniper, knives, acrobatics Chris (combat): heavier guns, explosives, strength (like you can't move certain things with Jessica but can with Chris) Jackass (stealth): lighter guns, tech, crafting, scanning Grinder (combat): heavier guns, explosives, tank, strength (hand to hand combat)

Time is an interesting commodity. This game recently went free on Epic Launcher. My experience with the game was around 5 hours or so, on and off at a friends house. from ch1 to ch6. I would go there and we played while we hung out and had drinks. I went through it, from "This is cool", to "this is crap" and back again. The primary issue was MARKETING. Glen and his crew were talking it up as if it was going to follow up and surpass Dead Space... and that set it up for failure. over a year removed from that hype, and on a free copy, I beat the game in 8 hours and immediately booted an NG+ and am 3 chapters in... over the course of a handful of days. I love this game. I have found depth in the combat, with various ways to 'extend' combos and keep enemies from retaliating. NG+ has been great because as i bring my gear to new levels, I am excited to see how much they wreck house. There are many complaints, but this far from release, and on a FREE copy (which is pretty important to note), I am having a blast. I would say if Dead Space Remake is a 9.5/10 for me, then Callisto Protocol is easily an 8/10. It has issues, it has flaws, but it is FUN. The combat initially came across as one note, and monotonous but that is a really poor criticism to lay on a game. This game basically inverts the norm... so most games you shoot and use melee as a finish or in a pinch - but this game is more melee focused and then you shoot for crit dmg... okay? how is that 'repetitive', but shooting everything 90% of the time isn't? Furthermore, this game plays almost exactly like TLoU 2. You can shoot a kneecap, charge in and melee. The dodge system is basically exactly the same as TLoU 2. I'm rambling, but it's a real shame this game caught the hate it did. Everyone wants to enjoy a witch hunt nowadays, but this game deserved better and could have possibly gotten better reception if they didn't misrepresent themselves on Glen's shoulders.

you had a alot of great points in this video I was 21 when this came out and the online mod was ok I guess but it was way ahead of its time has we well know and for capcom to remake it in the hole new RE-Engine would be wicked but will that ever remake this game who knows right it would make them a loads of cash a online server now that has potential I wouldn't stop there they could even update it by integrating every Resident Evil game into it citys monsters zombies they would make a killing just think about it for a mint here DLC's it would be like GTA 5 online but a horror this would be the key for RE fans well thats my idea anyway

I admit, I have a soft spot for this game because it’s actually the first Resident Evil game I ever played. After this, I went back and played the original and I was hooked

I absolutely love RE0. The fact that you have to leave items on the floor rather than in an item box is on one hand a bit annoying, but with a little experience, you get used to it and it does make you consider when and where it's best to leave an item, and if you're willing to go back to an area a couple of times or not. Picking up the item at 8:57 was so frustrating, as if the developers at Capcom were giving us the middle finger. But the entire atmosphere was great, I loved the puzzles and to me it still felt like a typical RE game. Code Veronica X is right up there with RE0 in my opinion, and you don't always have to question what you need an item for, you've come across, because with item boxes you can leave the item for later. Voice acting in Code Veronica X isn't good, in fact it seems cringe worthy. And the puzzle in the room with the paintings doesn't make any sense at all. But still, excellent game👌

I've beaten the game countless times, but Rachel still gives me the chills from the moment she begins humming. But it's also sad when she screams "it hurts!", but you know it's either her or you, and she can't control her behaviour, because she's infected and clearly suffers.

Playing now! I fn love it!

Re revs 2 was EXACTLY how you use co op in a survival game

The reason why the game looked so rough for you was because you are playing on PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360 play it on box one or series x or maybe pc with a good monitor 1440p or higher game actually looks decent just played a while ago for first time in like ten years ps3 was not powerful enough for a few of the games around that time it struggled quite a bit I remember it being pretty bad on battlefield 3 would get mad texture popping and low res images

RE5 in terms of gameplay improved on RE4. It added omnidirectional movement, a stomp, a real time menu (meaning you can’t pause the action, which is a good thing), and being able to swap between weapons. Also, I personally feel this game is paced like a beat’em up.

Not sure what yall are expecting. Resident Evil has never been a great story. Thats not why RE fans enjoy it. 2 hours of ranting about a movie like this. My goodness.

RE6 was my first RE and I loved it for the action not the horror

It was an ok-ish remake for me. There are quite a few negatives in this game. First of all - modern day leftwing politics. It's much more than "Nicole is a cougar now, grow up". There are gender neutral bathrooms, race swapped characters, Nicole uglified, planet cracking and oil industry parallels, several gay relationships, etc. It is very noticeable and has a negative impact on the immersion. The story is ok, but I prefer the original one. I do not like that Nicole and Isaac, instead of a loving and caring couple, are now a beefing couple and Isaac is feeling guilty because his last convo with Nicole was an argument about his parents. Sure, they tried to expand and add something, but it just does not work for me. The same goes for the regenerator enemy - a meh story. I don't know why nowadays every single game thinks that each boss fight needs to have 3 phases. The Remake boss fights are not hard, in fact, you can cheese them. During the first Leviathan fight you manually shoot the weakspots and skip the last phase quickly, in the second Leviathan fight you can use the turrets in specific order to make it very easy and the final boss can be downed with just a pulse rifle and its grenade option during the last "hit the weakspot" section. If you know how the game works, you will realize that backtracking is only necessary when you have obtained the third security clearance. Up until then it is actually detrimental. Since you need the third clearance to unlock all doors and the mobs spawn when you open doors, it is best to minimize backtracking. Most of the mobs have scripted spawns, except those spawned by opening doors. The game looks great though and is pretty atmospheric. I think the difficulty is higher than the default level of the original game, which defo makes it more fun. Btw, the game never tells you about the peeling system. In fact, I completed the game two times before I saw someone mentioning it on UA-cam. Flamethrower is actually a bad weapon because it does not stagger the necromorphs. You probably want sth like - Plasma Cutter, Force Gun, Line Gun in your arsenal. Overall, I think that Deadspace Remake is an ok effort to recapture the magic of the original Deadspace, but fails short of actually being amazing and memorable due to its issues. 7/10.

I think the action focused gameplay makes sense with the context of you playing as someone who is experienced in dealing with biological weapons as apposed to the relative novelty of previous entries.

KNIVES AND STABBING WEAPONS

I only play games on my PC so I actually had no idea this existed until recently due to a mod for DS2 since I'm replaying it. Thanks for the in depth video on this since I'm never gonna play it.

Good DLC with tons of nostalgic moments. If you're a psycho like me, you can bring the foam finger with you on this journey. Explore everything within 30 minutes and refund it by the end of the day. (Yes, I'm a dirty achievement hunter, and the 250 gamerscore sitting there as I literally had every other achievement bothered me.) Genuinely nothing essential but if you love Dead Space, you'll love a little more Dead Space.

this is a TERRIBLE resident evil game as a survival horror game but an amazing action fun game with a lot of fun and replay value and playing ti with friends as well never taking it seriously.

I feel that if you want a more tense experience, you should probably try to avoid cheesing through various sections and actually fighting all of the bosses properly, this can lead you into quite a bullet squeeze through some sections of the game, especially with the fight with "It" and Krauser, I'm just replaying the game on pro difficulty, and when I got to the Krauser fight, I was almost completely out of ammo, and had to trade in my fully upgraded red9 so that I could get the exclusive upgrade on the striker to get 100 shotgun shells to even stand a chance against Krauser. Watching those shells gradually go down as Mike then refused to do anything about the minigun operators in the following section was quite nerve-wrecking, and a really enjoyable and tense experience! My favorite part of this playthrough has to be the double El Gigante fight! It was tough at first, but it was so much fun learning the behavior of the giants and finding opportunities to strike at them, leading to yet another bullet squeeze that made the section with the novistadors and the sections after that really quite tense, every bullet had to be planned.

Its OK at best. Miles better than the live action Netflix show anyway

It's aight, playing this on pc though, was quite difficult.

Turn brain off while playing, have fun with a friend and goof off. Like me and my friend always on our backs and aiming our gun whilst moving very slowly forward singing I got high. Mindless fun.
