To me, every campaign of RE7 encapsulates an aspect that people love about the series: - The main game encapsulates the survival horror aspect. - Not a Hero encapsulates the action-heavy aspect brought about by 4. - End of Zoe encapsulates the cheesy, B-movie camp that makes the series so charming and stand out among the crowd. All of these combine to give the complete, Resident Evil experience. I also like how both DLCs exist to not only tie up loose ends from the main game, but to also give us better final bosses since Eveline was so anticlimactic. Also, sometimes I feel like the only person who didn't mind Chris' redesign in this game. Oh well, they turned him into a refrigerator again for Village so I wouldn't say it was much of a loss.

You forgot to mention that in Not a Hero, you can parry enemy attacks to instantly open them up for a melee attack. It's pretty useful for conserving ammo.
Yeah, you're right, all of them were fun but the banned footage stuff didn't hold much weight. I didn't fancy bloating the video more than it needed with a 3rd piece of content
I pretty much agree with everything you said about “Not A Hero” and have three other thoughts to add below: 1.) Besides the white “Fumer” Molded, I recall N.A.H. also adding in these exploding Molded (which remind me of RE Revelations’ exploding “Chunk” Ooze) and tiny crawling Mold enemies (which remind me of RE2’s G-Young). While those three creatures still have the issue of not adding much visual variety in RE7’s enemies, they at least add a few more gameplay niches in RE7’s enemy roster. So I felt N.A.H. slightly helps in that regard. 2.) Speaking of DLC enemies, it irks me that those infected alligators from End of Zoe were not featured in the main campaign, when they could have easily functioned as a RE1-Neptune-style enemy for Ethan and Mia to confront. Given how starved of enemy variety RE7’s main campaign was, you would think that they would want to make every enemy idea, which they took time to develop and implement, count. 3.) Rather than Joe Baker and his robotic gauntlet, I sometimes wondered if would have made more sense to bring back Jake Muller from RE6, if they wanted you to play as someone who can out-punch Chris Redfield himself with superhuman power. At least then, for better or worse, it would have helped RE6’s story to contribute something to the later games rather than being even more of a black sheep which seemingly goes nowhere.
U know i just noticed tht not a hero dlc has a lil easter egg/nod to the very 1st RE : On professional difficulty,chris starts out with only his knife,havin to look for his handgun just like OG/remake,like goddamn chris keeps losin his gun 😂
@SSJdavey ya I remember playing this dlc on highest difficulty and thinkin "this is some bs!" Like I feel it's a running gag at capcom,the whole chris losing his gun bit 😆🤣

I am a freaking die hard RE fan and when I played the N.A.H DLC during the foggy like chamber where there are white molded creatures, I legit froze because idk where to go and not being able to see that much along with that creepy BGM playing didn't really help either LMAO and I am playing CHRIS BOULDER PUNCHING REDFIELD btw 😅🤣 I think the fear wouldn't have even enteredthe chat if it was in OTS view with me seeing Mr. Boulder Puncher hahaha..RE7 is just brilliant even if that DLC was mostly action oriented 🥴 I still haven't 100% this game but I have Platinum'd it so let us see if I'll ever decide to do it or not someday 😅✊🏻 The Zoe DLC is also amazing! I really enjoyed this DLC and it's lowkey terrifying going up close punching up Molded and Jack 😂😂😂 and those damn alligators are giving me a heart attack with their insta-kills 💀😭 Story wise, what if the BSAA uses the white molded strain to subdue Rose? I really wish S.o.R didn't take place 16 years into the future because it means Rose is unscathed so I wouldn't mind Capcom retconning it to her aging KINDA fast for the next 16 months after the events of VILlage (instead of years) 🤞🏻 RE7 is such a great game and I am so glad I finally decided to play it back in 2021 (I even Platinum'd it within just 1 month hehehe) It's mind-blowing that this game will turn 7 y/o this January and 5 y/o for RE2R... 🙃💥🧠

4:55 I don't get why they stopped letting you ADS in Village with the shotguns , that are equipped with rear sights ? They do the assualt rifles the same way , and it looks wired.. It's Like I'm playing counter strike.. but with werewolves . It's the same way with the M4 Assault Rifle in RE 4 Remake, why make only usable down Sight ? When every other automatic machine gun is used from a 3rd person perspective? I wanna see Leon in 3rd person shooting an M4 dammit.. Not just see it on his back , when im not using it 😂
The first person assult rifle in re4 remake threw me off too, its also wild that it uses rifle ammo. I used the mag included with the gun and then put it away preffering to use a standard rifle over it 😕

Well done on getting it done! Re7 is one of my favourites from the series, the more traditional gameplay elements (albeit in first person) really hook me. I'd love a more traditional RE for the next mainline (remakes aside) I guess we have a while till we learn about RE9

Daughters from Banned Footage Vol. 2 felt like the only side story that was the more consequential out of the package for the main story.

Not a hero is great dlc I have played it before flat screen and now again in vr just stuck at the end I might go back and finish it.
