I remember seeing a comment that summarized *that* scene best:
"When the two worst players are last alive."

I recently played fortnite with my 5yr old and every battle was a mirror to that scene

My god, this film is hilariously stupid. I'm surprised that they double downed all the silly action stuff after the mixed feedback that RE6 received. The whole thing with virus being in all of humans and that zombies can be reverted back to humans which leads to more questions than answers. Like, if you can cure a zombie, wouldn't they just drop dead after all the injuries they received? Also, wouldn't this make Chris and Leon look like mass murderers? I know it's supposed to be life and death situation, but never do they consider any alternative or minimizing casualties. That kinda makes that John Wick scene with zombies kinda worse now, doesn't it?
Anyway, i enjoyed hearing your thoughts about these films and you make great reviews, man 😁💪😎👍

Leon and Chris must enjoy killing civilians, its the only thing that makes sense! It's like as if this movie takes place in The Boys universe

@@SSJdavey Fun fact. According to director's commentary the director deemed those buildings that got leveled by the laser were already evacuated by the time before being destroyed. We all know its bullcrap and director is desperately grasping the straws in vain attempt to save the plot.

I know you need to switch your brain off to enjoy these movies but you’d need a full lobotomy to truly enjoy Vendetta. Chris and Leon are assholes,Rebecca is wasted, the action was so ridiculous it made RE6 look grounded, and the ending might just be the dumbest anything in RE history
The only thing that keeps it from being the absolute worst (Infinite Darkness) is that it at least isn’t boring.

I'm not looking forward to revisiting infinite darkness that's for sure 😢

At this point, it would be surprising if anything with the name “Resident Evil” on it was halfway decent. Downhill for many many years now… perhaps close to 2 decades of trash now. (I am being dead serious)

And unfortunately the same can be said for Silent Hill.

Not sure what yall are expecting. Resident Evil has never been a great story. Thats not why RE fans enjoy it. 2 hours of ranting about a movie like this. My goodness.

I don't think Damnation was nowhere near ludicrous as this one. Sure, Damnation had silly moments, but Vendetta cranked it up to eleven.

1:10:08 That's interesting take, i never thought about it before. Although, i still think its bit reaching though. Chris lecturing someone about killing infected loved ones, but can't bring himself to kill Rebecca is interesting idea on paper, but not fully explored. Plus, he let that guy be turned so that can be chalked up to Chris's hypocrisy.
The most wasted potential was Chris's interaction with Leon, whose in similar situation as he was in RE6 and instead of being sympathetic or understanding, he is needlessly aggressive towards Leon. I guess you could argue that Chris had to get to Arias fast and had no time deal with Leon's problems, but i don't think that argument holds as 1. Chris doesn't explain what is at stake(only what virus does). 2. Chris is clearly saying stuff because of his grudge with Arias as Rebecca calls him out on. 3. How hard it is to say "I know how you feel, but we can't give up when our friends were killed by evil corporations and people like them"?

@@RRatedGamer Now on the topic of Chris's growth or lack there of, it would have been something if the film highlighted his feelings on the losses he suffered and how he has to be better person or needs to improve in order for each of them to survive, but it didn't. That chick was holding in his arms, screaming in over-the top anime cliche fashion never gets mentioned again beyond that opening scene. I'm guessing it was supposed to highlight Chris's need for revenge on Arias, but it is really weak and both characters don't really hold candle to Chris's rivalry with Wesker. Say what you will about RE4 Remake, but at least that game did good job of integrating Leon's experiences in Raccoon City which carried in RE4, where he is clearly traumatized by the events and molding actually good character arc for him in that game.
