Ranking NBA 6th man award candidates
Are you trying to look like a serial killer
Yeah like Dahmer-chic
Just an honest question... When did 22 become old and not able to get better ... Both Steph Curry and Klaus Thompson were 21 when they were drafted. Tim Duncan was 21 about to turn 22 when drafted ... Michael Jordan was 21 when drafted. It feels like the one and done philosophy has really warped out views of the age of players in the draft.
I was listening to John Hollinger the other day and I think people bring it up more often now. Just because players that come into the league older and are drafted high haven't been having as much success.
sheeeet I hope you are on the money with Donovan!!
trade is coming!!
1st can I get pinned
Sure
@@whatshortsbet thanks
Mikel bridges thoughts?
I like the move. Build a brotherhood and you'll never really lose.
You’re a terrifying looking individual
I cant tell if your right or really right
I can't either
2nd round picks matter. Stars have been 2nd round picks
absolutely
You're very funny
😊
The blazers gotta trade grant lol also Bradley Beal has a great agent.😂
I've heard rumors of Beal for Lebron. Spread that around
I wonder who’s gonna be the bust of this draft. Also I guess Alex Sarr didn’t even work out for the hawks which is strange.
I know. I think he's got his heart set out the Wiz. I think he knows if he's drafted by the Hawks he'll used as a pawn.
I am all in on the 3 french kids going top 12 ...i like them all
Sarr and Reesashey (spelled phonetically) definitely both in the top 3
Sarr has taller young shawn marion vibes without the versatility and motor rebound wise but a better shot coming in at a younger age
Seems like he wants to be a Wizard which I find a little concerning. I'd like to see him come off the bench for a better team.
As a pistons fan. Yes they do
Sorry brother
love ur stuff but sarrs ceiling is higher than derrick lively😂
yeah, my bad. I think read that somewhere, but I meant to say that I read it somewhere. haha
hornets don’t get anybody i guess 😞😞😞😞
what about Edey? that 'd be cool
Cody Williams is a great ball hander huh ?
I saw him drive the lane with both hands.
the Blazers put their 2nd round picks in the starting rotation. Portland had a 5 rookie starting lineup for a few games in April. They didn't lose by 60, so it was deemed a success.
I think key to life is figuring out a way to take anything that happens to you and frame it as success.
Is Weis(The guy dunked on by Vince in the Olympics) the highest pick to not play? I would know because my damn Knicks picked him and he was so ashamed of the poster to even come here
Oh dang. I don't know much about that guy. I'll look into it.
@@whatshorts The dunk of death! He has a very sad story I think that dunk actually put him into depression and ruined the rest of his life
great video, it would be helpful for me if you put their height/weight or position to give some context for their stats (eg matas isn't good 3pt shooter but that isn't the end of the world because he's a forward)
yeah, I should have put a screen shot of weight, height, age, position
you got a kid???
Nah, that's just what my buddy Dan told me. He's got two kids, Hasn't got a birthday check in years.
really walked into a corner with that race take😂had me dyin
I think I escaped pretty well
who are you a fan of?
No loyalty, just like to gossip about everyone.

I'm not into college basketball so videos like this one help me swim through discourse. I appreciate all that you do, especially breaking down the "simple" things.
I'm the same way. I was kind of dreading the research, but actually had a lot of fun with the video. enjoy the draft man!
The old "draft-and-stash"
classic combo
Why do teams not want to draft someone like topic (injured) high up, cuz then they get another bad record = another high draft pick + a good player in like a year
it's because of ligament damage. it never really heals entirely once it's torn.
Great primer for the upcoming draft, complements the draft vid on your main channel well, good stuff as always! You should host a contest where you pick somebody's local rec ball league and do a breakdown of the players and teams based on limited knowledge, your style and commentary would be hilarious for that
that would be awesome! I'd seriously consider doing something like that. I feel like Ryen Russillo could do an awesome series on some random little league where he gets into random esoteric minutia about the kids even though he has no connection to them.
Seeing the media talk about how bad this draft class will be reminds me of the 2017 NHL Draft, where outside of the top 2, nobody knew where anybody was going. It ended up being one of the most transformative draft classes in recent memory. So we'll see about this class but there are a lot of exciting prospects
You either get an exciting lottery night or draft night. I'm happy it's an exciting draft night. I think there's a lot of talent out there.
I see Zach Edey being a bench big. And coming in as soon as a teams starting big steps out and he comes in and screws up any bench unit in the league. There isn't a single bench big who would be able to guard Zach Edey in the post. Now... who that's valuable too and who wants to implement that sort of system is up to each team. But that's how I'd use Edey and potentially force a team to play their starting big 40+ minutes.
I see you. I bet some of those back up bigs are tougher than you think though. We'll see, should be an exciting rookie class
Please consider linking this channel on your main page or under videos. I knew you had this other channel but could not h the ink of the name of it or find it via search
it's in the featured channel section I think, but I'll make sure.
As a UConn fan I can't wait for this draft
big draft for y'all
Memphis with Ja Morant is a great culture? They do play really good basketball but the culture in Memphis is a little out of control.😊
Did I say that? I'm not sure what the vibe is like these days. I was surprised last year when they publicly booted brooks. He felt like a real piece of that squad.
@@whatshorts if you're going to be irritating and annoying when your team is winning than it might be overlooked but if you're going to do that when that team is losing then.... There's definitely an I in "I poked bears."
There's so many tall guys that don't rebound anymore. You would expect the dominant center like Donovan Clingan to get more than seven rebounds a game. It used to be that if you didn't have a very good shot you would then Park yourself under the rim to try to get as many rebounds as you could so that you were somehow pitching in to winning basketball. Now everybody's kind of a free agent out there. I think that comes from AAU and that really showed in the way the G League Ignite team looked like a bunch of individual players but a horrible combined team.😊
he's a decent shot blocker and lob threat. I assume he'll get boards in the league. Hoping the NBL's new program takes over as the new and improved g-league ignite.
Buzelis is pronounced like jealous.😊
helpful
Cody Williams looks like a project player to me. Not just his physical stature but his play style. If the dude didn't have j-dub as his brother I don't think he would be a top 20 pick. He might be good in a few years but I think that's banking on some luck.
if he falls to 12 does okc take him?
@@whatshorts I think they're looking for a big man now that they've filled out the roster with Caruso. If you listen to Bill Simmons anytime in the last year he gladly let you know that they were a good big man away from doing much better in the playoffs. He'll die on that mountain.
@@whatshortsI would but he lacks the one on one game he isn't aggressive he doesn't have the motor or defense yet he doesn't rebound playmake and he has no dawg in him...
Isn't Devin Carter a great rebounder for a size?
not sure. I'd have to check
Having edey in the thumbnail and not putting him in the video is criminal
I used this new feature on YT that makes it so you can use 3 different thumbnails and then YT uses the one that performs the best. Edey is only on one of them, but yes I am evil 😈
what do you use to edit these videos ?
final cut, but the background is a screen recording of a google slideshow
buzelis = boo-ZEH-liss
Matas = Muy Thai
"RiSaRcHer. I'm gonna do it a third time."
I couldn't snap out of my Italian accent. For shame.

did topic tear his meniscus or acl? I’ve been hearing both
I think it was both plus something else.
NBA players ranked by neck thickness?
this would be messed up, but I've considered ranking worst bodies in the league. Don't tell anyone that I even had that thought.
G league Ignite Prospects = Busts
I know, but I'm still hopeful. I really believe in the concept. I'm glad the NBL is going something similar.
Great videos today :) I hope your cat loves you
it's a love/hate relationship
@@whatshorts any HM’s like Jared McCain or Ron Holland?
Thank you for bringing up the point that Devin Carter has hit puberty 😭
I know. I sound like a real perv in a lot of these videos.
@@whatshorts mmmm big neck and skull puberty 🤤🤤🤤
I think Holland goes 7 over Williams
I think so too. I'd like to see Williams in OKC
Underrated draft n ill fight on it no way this is the worst in like 15 years like some sickos are saying minimum 2 allstars in the first round kids are more talented than they used to be if this was 20 years ago alex sarr would be generational and this would be a crazy draft, not so say he will be anything close to that now, just saying our expectations have definitely gone up
I know. I think a lot of these guys have chips on their shoulders and are going to come in ready to show the league what they've got.
What Shorts who are your fav basketball creators out there? Currently i watch anything you, funkydiabetic, and j Kyle Mann put out. Any recommendations?
I like a lot of those. I use to watch more guys like hoopshype, am hoops, bball breakdown, but since I started making content I stopped because I don't want to be too influenced. THose guys are awesome though! I like Kyle J Mann and all the ringer guys, but No Dunks are my ride or dies.
@@whatshorts I’ll check them out! Love ur videos, they make basketball a more approachable, digestible subject to show my friends that don’t watch sports - but are interested in good stories/narratives :))

glad you enjoy it, player!
Being interested in human anatomy and physiology isn't necessarily erotic.
you're right. It's probably just me getting horny over here. haha
