IDK if CP3 and Russ have bleak futures atp, they have no future. The players that once were Chris Paul and Russell Westbrook are gone. They will probably both take minimum contracts with contending teams (CP3 with whoever and Russ with clippers.) And both of them at this point know they aren't what they used to be. They're here to ride out their careers.
I think the true, contributing, bleakest future guy is KD. Team has zero trade assets, toxic contracts and untradable players, and everyone on his team has proven how much of losers they all are. If KD asks for a trade at this point, who wants 35 year old KD who might want out in 2 years anyways? Could he even be shopped around for any decent value? Not to mention how much ANOTHER trade request would hit his reputation... But I'm not sure how much he cares about that at this point. It's kind of cooked for KD as a Sun.

Age is completely dependent on genetics and not a number. One person at age 27 might be balding, fat, developing wrinkles, etc,
Where as someone born in the same week who’s the same age, could be in the best shape of their life and maintain the same youth they had as a teenager in to their late 30s.
So despite being 29, I know a lot of guys in their early 20s that look worse than I do, so don’t let age discourage you. 80% of the women I meet assume I’m under 25.

I definitely think that Jared Allen has played his last game for the Cavaliers. Supposedly he turned down a basic pain numbing shot that would have allowed him to play. I understand that that is well within his rights but it's a bad look. On top of that the two center thing just has not worked. I actually prefer Allen to Mobley but I've heard that the Cavaliers are pretty pissed off about his lack of fire for the playoffs.

Regarding the Bucks, the Bucks had almost no choice but to change up their roster, the roster they had was not going to win a title, and before anyone points to 2021, the Bucks played injured teams that entire playoff run, and still needed miracle performances from Khris Middleton and Jrue Holiday. The problem is Jrue cant score consistently, it’s always been a problem in his game that’s only gotten worse as he’s gotten older and lost some athleticism. The Bucks didn’t need defense, they needed more scoring without having to rely on Giannis and Middleton to get it. People are too quick to pull the plug on teams like this after they are formed. They literally played one season together, and their 3 best starters got injured in the playoffs. The Bucks should run it back with Dame, get a better coach who’s defensive minded, and see what their roster is worth. Suns and Bucks should keep their stars and do their best to get better role players in the off-season, but blowing up those teams after one season would be a mistake.

Comparing Anthony Davis and Joel Embiid's injury history has made me curious about something. I wonder which 7-footer or /7 ft plus player has the highest games played percentage per season? It's probably Tim Duncan or Hakeem olajuwon although I'm not sure if either one of them was officially 7 ft .
It could be a bunch of guys. We tend to forget the injuries of guys further in the past but I think Tim Duncan did have one really bad injury year.

as much as i would like to see klay, draymond, and steph finish their careers together, i think there’s a 50/50 gonna happen. of all the people to leave its klay, especially with there being some potential opportunity in places like orlando for him. i think as his play has deflated over the past two years he may want a change of scenery to rekindle a spark and play as a starter again. but again, klay staying to finish as the core three is just as likely, however, if he does that, as you mentioned, it won’t be enough of a change for the franchise to produce anything meaningful results wise. it’s tough cuz steph as a player still has the minerals to win. despite the teams shortcomings he still played great this year

I think this happens a lot as players get older in every sport. Everyone wants a storybook ending, but it involves sacrifice in someway. Kobe got it, but in hindsight the end of his career is pretty lackluster. It's hard know if he was really content with those last few years as a Laker. I respect the athletes that ride it til the wheels fall off. Dirk was a great example, he took less money and stayed a Mav. Kelly Slater is also a great example. He's way past his prime, but can't stop competing.

The Lakers don’t need to go all in right now, they already won a championship. The 76ers are the ones who NEED to win and other teams know that, and will extort them in trade talks like a 150 lb white boy in prison.

I don't know the exact numbers but I think that Anthony Davis has been more successful in his playoff games than Joel embiid has. It's tough because on the upside part Joel Embiid has the higher ceiling but he's injured even more often than AD. It's a really hard argument because Joel was on his way to winning back-to-back MVPs. He didn't deserve his first one but he was definitely ahead this year. If they're both at the top of their game I think that Joel is the better player at this point in his career but I'm not sure how you weigh their past injury history. That's why I'm saying that maybe playoff performances should be the tiebreaker. For some reason I thought that Anthony Davis was quite a few years older than Joel Embiid but it's just one year. If I'm the GM at Philly I go with Anthony Davis just based on recent injury history. Davis missed a few games last year but definitely played more than Joel Embiid did. That is a really tough call.
